We turned up at the arranged time. What we expected to be a car retailer outlet, what we found was disused commercial building with empty offices and three storey car park facility attached. Upon arrival we were guided towards reception area. For some strange reason my drivers license was not scanned as pictured by a mobile phone by one of the receptionist ladies. I was then asked to wait until one of the sellers called my name. We were taken to one of the open office area where dozens of customers and sales people were seated ( no intimacy or privacy between customers and vendors to exchange personal details and informations). After the vehicle of interest was produced on the screen we asked many questions which were left unanswered, due to lack of knowledge of the sales person and lack of experience. I asked for a test drive which I booked previous day and recognised on the same morning by the company that called me for a confirmation at 8:30am .
The vendor drove the car to the reception area , after which my drivers license was taken away from me, out of my sight without any explanation. Totally unacceptable behaviour from the vendor and totally unlawful conduct of the company!
I was able to test drive only on their premises, around the parking lot ( garage) before the car literally ran out of fuel! An absolute disgrace! I pointed out that this was not a test drive , as I drove 1,5 hours to get a car from the company which was not cheap, and had to deal with unprepared and incompetent customers service! Don’t buy a car from this company! Absolutely unacceptable service!
What a well oiled machine! I have left with a new car and part exchange after a very simple and painless process !!! Ermal from the Barnet branch was excellent and I would recommend .

At this point I think an escalation to a third party and a TikTok video would get there attention. I purchased a car which a day after noticed it was damaged. Managers both Dino and jay advised for me to email with all the evidence and assured that my car would be fixed. Misleading. Misleading and misleading. Over a month now and my car is still not fixed and I can’t beeline I am having to seek Legal.
Service is absolutely disgusting.

Avoid Car Planet – terrible communication and after-sales service
I bought a BMW from Car Planet, and the whole experience became extremely stressful once there was an issue that needed to be resolved.
The biggest problem was the complete lack of communication. I repeatedly called, but nobody answered or returned my calls. When I did manage to speak to someone, I was passed around and could not get a clear answer. It took nearly two weeks for anything to be dealt with, which is unacceptable when you have spent a significant amount of money on a car.
Once the sale was completed, it felt as though they were no longer interested in helping. I should not have had to keep chasing them just to receive a basic update. A professional dealership should answer customers’ calls, return messages and deal with problems promptly.
After reading other customers’ comments online, it appears I am not the only person who has experienced these issues. One customer claimed that optional extras were added without their knowledge and that a service they were paying for through their finance agreement was not honoured. They said they eventually paid £220 themselves and were still waiting for a response about a refund.
Another customer questioned Car Planet’s advertised vehicle checks, claiming that cars were being sold with faults and problems. Someone else described receiving promises of a callback but never hearing from the company again. While these are other customers’ personal accounts and I cannot independently verify every detail, the repeated complaints about unanswered calls, broken promises and poor after-sales service are very similar to my own experience.
Buying a BMW should have been an exciting experience, but dealing with Car Planet made it frustrating and exhausting. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them. Make sure you inspect the car carefully, get every promise in writing and do not assume that it will be easy to contact them once they have completed the sale

Booked a test drive on car we liked , drove 1hr to Watford only to be told someone had reserved the car - no phone call, msg nothing . Then tried to get us interested in another car that we weren’t interested in . Then asked us to wait around while they looked in the back for a car we might be interested in so we left . Two days later we get a call saying the original car that was reserved is back on the market are we interested- do we look like mugs !
Really poor service - would rather spend slightly more somewhere else than be treated like an idiot .
After sales just doesn't exist. The car been serviced that I paid for which I don't know if that's been serviced or not. Also even the service was over due.
Even I thought Mr Talha azam chasing up with the expenses that when Ive been called the car was ready and actually the car even wasn't in the site. I have booked main dealer health check. Just little reminder you have a month for rejection of the car. If they given the car with dash light or anything dodgy you can reject the car. If the finance company is in the case you don't even have to deal with the branch.

I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a vehicle from Car Planet to research their after-sales service before making a purchase.
I bought my car in September 2025. Within a short period of owning it (around six weeks), it developed serious faults. Car Planet took the vehicle back in December to repair it. After keeping it for around two months, they returned it to me claiming the faults had been fixed. Within just a few days it became clear the problems had not been resolved, so they took the vehicle back again.
To this day, Car Planet still has my car.
After I exercised my final right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the experience became even worse. They initially attempted to deduct nearly £6,000 from my refund. Those deductions then changed significantly over time, which left me questioning how they had been calculated. I disputed the deductions and repeatedly asked for the inspection reports, photographs and evidence they relied upon, particularly regarding alleged cosmetic damage. Despite numerous requests, I have not been provided with the evidence I asked for.
The after-sales communication has been extremely poor. I was promised responses on several occasions by both telephone and email, including by Cara Murphy, but those promised responses did not always materialise.
I made every effort to resolve the dispute without unnecessarily involving the courts. I even offered to accept the amount Car Planet themselves considered undisputed as a partial payment, leaving the remaining disputed deductions for the court to decide. This would have allowed me to buy another vehicle while the legal dispute continued. Car Planet refused to release any of my money.
I have now been forced to issue County Court proceedings. As things stand, Car Planet remains in possession of both my vehicle and my money and refuses to make any payment while the case is ongoing.
Since sharing my experience, I have also come across other customers who have reported disputes over refunds or retained funds, which has added to my concerns about how complaints are handled.
As a single mother of young children, this situation has caused significant financial and practical hardship. This review reflects my own experience with Car Planet and their after-sales service.
Spectacularly undervalued car being used for part-exchange. Car being offered for part exchange was given a value some 55% below (after we checked afterwards) the suggested part-exchange price on Parkers for the actual car and milage. Through negation they increased the price to about 30% below what it should be, but still completely unacceptable. So we walked away. Test drive duration of proposed replacement car was also ridiculously short, less than 5 minutes. Additional hard sell of warrantees, snake oil to cover paint and seats and other unnecessary but high-margin add ones. Maybe OK to buy a car, but if you are doing a part exchange, highly recommend that you do you homework first to find what you car is worth as based on our experience, they will give you far less than an honest price.

Avoid is all I can say. Absolute shambles of aftersales. Problems with the car from the get go. Spent hours and hours on the phone/on hold to them every single day, countless emails, absolutely nothing back from them. Reading other reviews seems I’m not the only one. Joke of a company.

Yet another false promise!
After attending the Watford branch last week, I was invited in to discuss my ongoing issues with a gentleman called Ali Ashiq, who said he was a manager. To be fair, he appeared to listen carefully to everything I had to say, along with another Car Plant customer experiencing similar problems. I was assured he would personally take ownership of my case.
As promised, I received an email from him on 12th July, following our meeting on 11th July. Since then... nothing.
I've emailed on 15th July, chased again on 16th July, and once more today (17th July)—all without a response.
Emails sent to aftersales and support and car plant and even directly to Cara and nothing.
So today I decided to call.
Attempt 1:
• 22 minutes on hold.
• Transferred to Ali Ashiq.
• Another 11 minutes on hold.
• Then the call was disconnected.
Attempt 2:
• 27 minutes on hold.
• Asked to speak to Cara Murphy – unavailable.
• Asked to speak to Ali Ashiq – unavailable.
• Offered a callback. I explained that, despite being promised callbacks many times before, they have never happened, so I'd rather stay on hold.
• After another 6 minutes, Sina returned to the line and said he would have to end the call but promised to call me back within 5 minutes.
To my surprise, Sina did actually call back (credit where it's due). He said he would pass my message to a member of management, who would call me.
Unfortunately, I've heard that promise many times before, so I won't be holding my breath.
If you have nothing better to do than spend hours chasing a resolution for a faulty car, then by all means deal with Car Plant. But if you value your time, your sanity, and your hard-earned money, I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Please do your research. Take a look at the growing Facebook groups where many customers are sharing remarkably similar experiences.
Another peaceful protest will be organised soon to raise awareness of what many of us believe to be unacceptable customer service and a failure to properly address ongoing issues.
Ermal made it very comfortable for me , told me everything I needed to know and kept me informed. Got my car in 3 days from start to finish, can’t grumble with that, very professional from start to finish.

CAR PLANET AFTERSALES…. What a scam can you reply to my emails regarding my car that went in to Audi on the 6th of July and I sent the report to multiple people at car planet as the compressor has gone on the vehicle purchased end of March!!! Car planet had the car back for a week drove the car 100 miles to tell me the car had no faults by law a garage gets one chance to repair the car this was not the case so now by law I want my money back I have been asking them to take the car back for two months!!! A compressor is a main component on a car and Audi has quoted £1600 to repair??? Car planet are purposely ignoring calls and purposely trying to drag out the time so I go out of my warranty to send the car back!!!
Over 100 emails sent over 50 hours spent either being on hold or trying to to get the issues sorted car planet are purposely ignoring calls and emails over this car!!!
They can reply on here but not to emails or call about issues with a car then deny they are uselsss other job!!! Absolutely disgraceful aftersales department I feel sorry for anyone sold extended warranty as nothing will be done!!
So reply to me emails this is going to go very very bad for you in court I too record my calls!!!

The salesman was determined to make a sale no matter what and I found it all bewildering, that said, I did buy z as car! The car has no satnav despite the salesman saying it did, no manual, no carpets, it’s a basic 2023 VW T Cross. Today I visited the VW main dealer to sort out issues concerning the software that needed a factory reset set. Overall z a stressful experience, not one that I look forward to again anytime soon.

We felt like we were just another sale and went from pilar to post. When we did decide to purchase we found it a long drawn out process. Ended up being 2 day before we could take our car. Sales blamed our bank although payment was made.
