Sam was friendly, professional and always happy to answer any questions I had. He explained everything clearly, kept me updated throughout, and genuinely went above and beyond to help me get everything sorted.

Shambolic Aftercare and Total Communication Breakdown

While the initial sales process was fine, the Aftercare team at Car Loans UK is the single worst company department I have ever dealt with. They aggressively forced a rigid 12:00 PM 'payment run' time slot, and then completely failed to manage it, this also takes an hour. I was forced to wait at the dealership because they didn't call when they explicitly promised they would. When I chased them, they tried to blame me, claiming I was supposed to call them! To make matters worse, the salesman I was dealing with originally Ryan Fenwick, went completely radio silent and ignored multiple direct emails the second friction arose after initially telling me he would help. So disappointing.

Absolute cowboy operations. Avoid this broker and finance through your garage directly.

Really friendly people, but my experience once something went wrong has been incredibly frustrating.

Initially, Car Loans UK were great to deal with. Helen in particular was friendly, reassuring and accommodating. When I first discussed potentially returning the vehicle, I was essentially told it wouldn't be a problem and that they could help with the return and potentially getting me into another vehicle.

Unfortunately, actually trying to return a faulty vehicle has been a very different experience.

A recurring theme throughout my complaint has been raising an issue, being reassured that it will be looked into, and then never actually receiving an answer or outcome. As the situation became more serious, communication also seemed to become less frequent.

The case management has probably been the most confusing part. My complaint appears to have moved between different people and, despite months of dealing with it, I didn't even know I had an allocated Case Manager or who he was. I only found this out much later when Helen directed me to contact him. I then learned he had been away for around six weeks, leaving me wondering who had responsibility for my case during that time.

I've repeatedly asked for evidence and answers concerning matters raised during the complaint and many remain unanswered. Even now, while the vehicle rejection is finally progressing, I am still trying to establish what happened with parts of the complaint itself.

That's what makes this experience particularly disappointing. The staff I've dealt with have generally been genuinely pleasant, and I don't doubt that people have worked on the case behind the scenes. But from a customer's perspective, “we'll look into it” means very little if nobody comes back with the answer.

Car Loans UK could massively improve this experience simply by giving one person clear ownership of a complaint, making sure the customer knows who that person is, and closing the loop on every issue raised.

Being pleasant when everything is straightforward is one thing. How a company communicates and takes ownership when something goes wrong is what really defines the experience.

Easy to deal with, got my finance arranged where others couldnt

I had a very tough time finding the right car that suits me and my budget, I worked with a person called Adam who was really helpful and patient throughout the whole process and remained professional at all times

Erfan was brilliant throughout the whole process. He explained everything properly and made sure I understood the different options so I could make the right choice for me.

There was no pressure at all, he was just really helpful, honest and easy to speak to. He kept me updated and answered any questions I had, which made the whole thing feel really straightforward.

The process up until agreeing the finance was great. The after care has been shocking. The only communication I had was me calling them to see what's going on. Always told someone would get back to me and never did. Trying to cancel the agreement as the car is not up to the standard I was expecting and its just been a nightmare.

What an absolute breeze. Erfan has been a gem of a person. I definitely recommend this to single women who need clarity and are not car savvy. Erfan made this whole experience so easy and breezy. Thankyou for being amazing
