On price: at standard price per report we're among the lowest-priced VIN checks available, well under what the better-known services charge for a single check - no subscription, no tiered packages, no upsell inside the report. One price for everything we hold on that vehicle.

The stolen-vehicle and inspection lookups are keyed to the VIN itself rather than to the model name, so those ran against your actual car and the answers were real.

Write to info@carlytics.eu and we'll refunding full. That class of self-contradiction was fixed in a release this week.

Indrek, you were refunded on 15 July.

On the report: we returned a 2000 Yamaha. Motorcycle VINs carry far less structure than car VINs and coverage for bikes is thinner.

A Carlytics report covers a VIN across odometer and rollback analysis, registration and country trail, technical inspection records, accident markers, open safety recalls, factory equipment and build data, market valuation and depreciation, known model faults, running costs and diagnostic codes — each as its own section.

thank you for taking the time to write this, and I'm sorry it left you feeling this way.

Let me be straight about what happened on our side: when you run a VIN with us, it goes through every database we have - VIN decode, recalls, the stolen-vehicle check, and registration records. Your VIN was checked against all of them. The checks genuinely ran across our full set of sources; there was simply less on record for your particular vehicle than the page led you to expect, and setting that expectation wrong is on us.

Many buyers come to us specifically for the recall and stolen checks - that's typically the highest-stakes data on these reports, and where we put most of our work.

I looked into your case - we did refund you in full (€8.90) on June 21, back to your original payment method.

Dove un registro nazionale pubblica i passaggi di proprietà e i chilometri, li mostriamo; dove non li pubblica, non esistono da mostrare.

Markus, Sie haben Ihr Geld zurück, zwei Tage nach dem Kauf. Zu Recht.

Motorrad-Fahrgestellnummern sind weniger strukturiert, und TÜV- sowie Kilometerstandsdaten werden für Zweiräder in den meisten Ländern gar nicht veröffentlicht.

Volkswagen and Audi are among the makes we hold the most factory build detail for, so a Golf or an A6 comes back with its actual specification and equipment.

Buying used cars from Germany is also where a VIN check earns its keep, since the risk sits in what happened to the car before it was exported. A single Carlytics report is €8.90, with no subscription.

Небольшой контекст для всех, кто читает: отчёт действительно прошёл наш стандартный набор проверок - декодирование VIN, поиск отзывных кампаний, проверка по угону, регистрационные данные, а также те технические характеристики, к которым у нас есть доступ. Большинство покупателей приходят к нам именно ради проверок по отзывам производителя и угону — это самые высокоприоритетные данные в подобных отчётах.

По автомобилям 2009 года и старше точность декодирования года выпуска, типа коробки и экологического класса действительно ниже, чем по новым машинам. Мы это открыто признаём и постоянно дорабатываем декодер на основе именно такой обратной связи, как ваша — даже когда читать её непросто.

«Практически бесполезным» - тяжёлое слово. Оно подразумевает, что вы не получили вообще ничего, а это не совсем так. Но разочарование, когда история пробега и владельцев оказалась неполной, абсолютно понятно - и это упущение в нашей коммуникации до покупки.

"Scam" is honestly a hard word to read - it suggests we took your money knowing we'd deliver nothing, and that's really not who we are. We're a tiny team doing this earnestly. But the frustration is completely fair when what arrived didn't match what you hoped for, and that's a messaging miss on us.
