Excellent Customer Service

I can't fault the delivery and customer service, there was a query on my original order which was amended in a speedy manor. The meat and chorizos are the best and that is coming from an Argentine wife!!

I’m really sorry the sirloin didn’t meet your expectations this time. When a cut feels overly fatty and lacking meat, that’s understandably disappointing, especially on a first order.

We’ve sent you an email directly as we’d genuinely like to resolve this properly.

Just for context, we leave the sirloin with its natural fat so customers can decide how much to trim and because many prefer cooking the steak in its own fat rather than using oil or butter. This is reflected in how we price the cut per kilo, to make it fair.

That said, we fully appreciate this wasn’t right for you.

Have been ordering from Casa Argentina for a couple of years now and am never surprised by just how good not only the food is, but the quality of the service.

It’s clear that the team there have really understood what service should be and each time I speak to them it just keeps getting better.

Excellent food bringing back the memories of our time in Argentina

The range of food on offer was clearly presented online and and the ordering process was easy. I was kept up to date with the delivery timing and it arrived safely and on time. The contents were well packaged and were still cool.

Have just eaten the first bqtch of empanadas which were excellent and just like the ones we had when we were last in Buenos Aires. Looking forwards to working through the rest of the order

Exceptional fillet of beef

Our fillet of beef arrived a day late - the only reason that I have give 4 rather than 5 stars, because the beef itself was exceptional. It arrived well packed and partially thawed, which we expected, but we still had time to complete the thawing before our dinner party so our plans weren't wrecked. The exquisite tenderness and flavour of the fillet drew many compliments. I was disappointed that the website didn't have a large enough fillet for my next party when I tried to order again!

The worst morcilla ever... UPDATE

I bought 2 sample packs of Chorizo and Morcilla. I was excited about trying morcillas the real argentine taste and chorizos too.
So, I lit my BBQ today, and grilled the chorizos and morcilla with some beef too.
First thing I tried was the chorizo. Not very good but at least passable. Then we tried the morcilla. The worst, most horrible, morcilla I ever tasted. It looks like a morcilla, but the taste is horrendous. It is a horrendous sausage painted in black. We couldn't pass even one bit of it.
So, we throw our money for a sausage painted in black that tastes like a bad salami.
My advice: don't make my same mistake.

UPDATE and added one star:
The vendor took the criticism and sent a different type of morcillas (blood sausages) with an improved recipe. And this was much better. Not perfect but a good improvement.
I also grilled the "provoleta" and, to my frustration, it was not a real provolone cheese like the one used to prepare "provoleta". This cheese melted completely and didn't taste like the provoleta one should taste.
So, thumbs up for the morcilla. Thumbs down for the provoleta.

I’m genuinely sorry about the experience you had with the morcillas in our sampler pack, and I completely understand your disappointment.

Just to be fully transparent, the morcillas currently included in that pack are Spanish-style morcillas, and this is clearly specified on our website. Unfortunately, importing fresh morcilla directly from Argentina isn’t permitted, which is why we work with European producers.

That said, we’ve been actively developing a product that’s much closer to a true Argentine-style black pudding. In fact, we’ve already sent you samples of our new Argentine-style morcilla with onions, which hasn’t been launched yet. I’m genuinely looking forward to hearing your thoughts, as your feedback clearly comes from someone who understands flavour, and it will help us improve the final product.

As a small gesture, my team has also added £15 credit to your account as compensation.

My intention is for you to have a great experience with us, and I truly hope we can turn this around.

Frozen food was partly defrosted and…

Frozen food was partly defrosted and DPD did not do as they were told to put the box on top of chest. So good had to stay on floor in porch till I got in from work as my partner is partly disabled and couldn’t bend down and deal with box.

Regarding the frozen food, we take great care to maintain quality during transit. All frozen items are packed in thermal boxes with foil bags and ice packs to keep them cold and chilled during delivery. However, we cannot guarantee that items will remain fully frozen, as this can depend on transit conditions. This is mentioned in the order confirmation and on our website to help manage expectations.

Empanada pastry for top empanadas

I love ordering the empanada pastry, it comes in a freezer box and we store them in the freezer until we want to cook! These pastries are so much better than my home made ones. They have a really satisfying crunch. I gave them as Christmas presents to my family with a recipe to follow and it was a huge hit!
