Absolutely dreadful experience with Chapter Law, we used them only because AP Morgan had recommended them and I wish we hadn't.

All started well, we sent everything that was needed and they asked for more information about a gift, which we provided. They then called and asked for more information on the gift so we organised to get them everything they'd asked for. We then had a other call to say they weren't sure everything they'd asked for would be sufficient. The main man then called my husband saying he's dropping the case as its too complicated for his team.

I called and him, hoping to find a resolution but he was not willing to speak, he kept reiterating his mind was made up, it was too complicated and he wouldn't be taking our case. He also refused to tell me when our deposit would be refunded into our account until I really pushed it with him and he then agreed he would let us know by COP that day (Friday). The arrogance of the man was unbelievable, he said he understood we were upset but he was just as upset losing commission. I had to explain that at 36 weeks pregnant, I think I was more upset with the stress of having to find a new solicitor.

Friday he called my husband back and said we'd have the money by the end of that day, we didn't. I called first thing Monday morning and the lady explained it hadn't even been processed with the admin team.

We found another solicitor quickly, explained the entire situation and they said Chapter Law were overcomplicating the entire thing.

My case was managed by Caitlin at Chapter Law who I must say has been the best I've dealt with when it comes to communication and keeping me informed. The case wasn't without it's issues but I found Caitlin to always be on top of things and pro-active with her communications to me. I never had to chase for information. With the help of Charlotte at Chapter Law, I managed to sell my house stress free. She was always available to talk when I had a question and kept me updated every step of the way. Even down to me not knowing how to fill in certain forms, I gave her a call and she talked me though. Nothing was too much of an issue for her. Was recommend by APMorgan when I sold my property. Very poor communication, didn't call back when said they would, slow response to emails. App still showing "enquires" which was October 22. Had 3 solicitors in the end as 2 left. What was supposed to have been a quick sale, as no chain, it took 5 months to complete. Even had to chase completion statement! Would not recommend.
