Very fast and reasonable response. Felt like i was talking to an actual person and not an automated machine.

Performance is almost too good to be true. With 50 slots and low latency, you can't go wrong with the price for this service for an Ark server. Support is near immediate and always helpful.

The server was hosted immediately. The portal to maintain the server had everything I needed to easily add files/manage addons. We had no issues with downtime or performance. Also, when I had questions about server configuration, the response from the team was incredibly fast and very helpful. I would definitely recommend using ChicagoServers.

I was in the market for a good host for 7DTD, that would be placed in a datacenter that allowed my group of gamers to play with equal ping if possible. Enter ChicagoServers. Centrally located, easiest setup of the server I've ever seen, and ease of use. Best quality for your money, for sure.

Server is operating incredibly well. Operation within the config files and detailed control over the server is exceptional. Help from staff has been quick and faster than expected. With this level of service im planning on adding more servers within my purchase.

The one and the only issue I have is the UI can be a little clunky and is at times more confusing to use than managing your own personal server. Once you understand how it works it's much simpler and of course, the staff was there to help me with everything.

Server was easy to start and maintain. Good documentation.

Axel helped me for over 2-3 hours on many issues I was having due to being my first server opening up. He walked me through multiple troubleshooting steps, options and alternatives for the information I was seeking. All while having extreme patience and professional knowledge. Highly recommend and thank their service that is provided.

The customer service is beyond helpful. They reply right away and are actually knowledgeable on their own control panel compared to a few other host sites I've used in the past.

Excellent, stable server with easy to use interface. I haven't needed support yet since it is so easy, so I can't comment on my experiences with that.

Absolutely fantastic. Chicago is not the IDEAL server location for me, but I went with them based on a friends recommendation. Their attention to detail and dedicated service is literally unparalleled to any other server hosting service i have used in the past. I'm extremely happy i switched over.

I am thoroughly pleased w/the service I have received from ChicagoServers.co. They provide feedback in a timely manner and setup my server within an hr.

The interface was easy to use and did not require a lot of programming experience. The price was easily the best that I had found for a 10 person server and the upgrades are very reasonable.

My friends and I have not experienced significant lag nor have we had a time where we were kicked off the server. 7dtd is not optimized, so the issues we have had are game related, not server related.

I've waited to write my review after having a few months of service, so that I wasn't writing it under the "puppy-love" stage of being a new client. I run a Rust server called BlueCollarRust, and its a beast on performance demands.

TLDR: I run a VERY heavily modded Rust server, left my original "big name" server host for ChicagoServers and haven't thought twice.

Pros:
- Unlike other hosts that run every game published, these guys only support 6 games, which means they're not looking to skim money from anyone willing to cough up a credit card number.

- Don't charge for extras. Other hosts will nickle and dime you for extra CPU priority or more RAM. These guys give you what you need. Only thing they charge for is dedicated IP address and number of player slots.

- Server performance is excellence. Players comment how great it is, and reboot times are faster than my previous host with maxed out "upgraded" options.

- Customer Service is great. If you need something, you can send a chat message in the game management portal. Granted they probably like having submitted tickets for organization, they're still responsive any which way.

Cons:
- Honestly, they cost a little more than some of your bargain host companies, but you get what you pay for. With how demanding my modded server is, it's well worth the extra money for me. Better performance means more happy players, which means more donations, which means cheaper on my wallet anyway.

Pros/Cons Conclusion:
- If you're running a bare-bones vanilla server, and finding the cheapest option is the highest priority for you, then honestly any server host will do just fine.
- These guys rock for my heavy performance demands.

Full Review (I’m still going):
I started hosting a Rust server in December 2020. I went with a big-name host company that had cheap prices. For the first couple of months it was great. No issues, and everything ran smoothly. Then after a few months, things took a nosedive. Players were consistently experiencing server-side lag. Everyone would get the same lag spikes at the same time, and population started to drop. Had players complain that it was getting unplayable. I went to the server host, maxed out my performance upgrades, to where I was paying over $30.00 a month, and it didn’t fix anything. I was experiencing server crashes almost daily with low pop, sometimes multiple crashes per day.

In mid- May I finally had enough, and I started looking for a new host. I happened to stumble upon a Reddit comment recommending ChicagoServers (CS), so I said what the hell, I’ll do the trial and if they suck, I’ll leave. I’ve been with them since and they haven’t given me a reason to leave.

To backtrack, when I started my 7-day trial with CS, my server was still running on my former host, still with massive lag and multiple crashes. I had determined that if I removed around half of my mods on that host, things ran better, but that’s not what I wanted. So when I started my trial with CS, I said screw it; I’m going to copy over my save files and ALL of my mods, let’s give them a stress test, let’s see if their hardware can handle what I want to do. The result? Smooth as butter.

Things have been just as good today (writing this mid July) as it was on day one. I wanted to wait to write this review, because I felt like my former server host had great service and performance when I was a new client, and then after a few months didn’t care about me anymore. I wanted to wait it out and see how CS performed over a few months before writing my review.

It’s been awesome. Like I’ve mentioned above, there have been hiccups at times. Random server crashes on my end (not the actual host machine), but I run so many mods that errors in all that coding are bound to pop up. I haven’t had any server-side lag, and all the lag that I have personally experienced or other players have reported have been client-side. If you think you can run a massive multiplayer online game with zero client-side lag, then you’re living in a fantasy world.

Now, my review is for running a Rust server. I have literally zero experience playing the other five games they offer. Not sure how heavily modded Ark servers can be, but I feel like Rust is a very performance-demanding game, and these guys have been amazing.

These guys are always ON IT. Helpful, responsive, never let me own. They always fix everything or teach me how to do it myself. Server stays running smooth and my players are happy!

ChicagoServers has made it easy for us to play together. Setup of our server was super quick, we've only had 1 outtage that was resolved in minutes, and support has been incredibly responsive and courteous. I have a 7 Days to Die server with them, and will be getting an Ark server soon.
