A mixed bag

A mixed bag. Sometimes great service. Other times awful.

1) I purchased an ex-display watch via the Chisholm Hunter website. When it arrived, the warranty was missing - which shouldn't be the case for an unregistered ex-display watch. They allowed an appropriate amount of compensation, but it was still disappointing that the warranty had gone missing and couldn't be replaced.

2) I purchased a watch from the Chisholm Hunter website, which I returned (to a store) as it was too large for my wrist. It took over a month, and a Section 75 claim via my credit card provider, for the refund to be processed.

3) I purchased a watch from the Chisholm Hunter website. When it arrived, one of the straps was missing from the box. After an exchange of emails, they accepted that it should have come with an additional strap and promised to rectify that for me. However, three months have passed and I have had to submit a complaint. They issued a watch winder as gesture of goodwill, but there is still no strap.

The initial sales process is great. They are responsive, engaged and helpful. However, the after sales care is hit and miss. Limited updates, slow responses and a general lack of anyone owning the issue.

It's unfortunate, because aside from the issues, the watches themselves have all been great and in immaculate condition.

Just Exceptional!!!!

Chisholm Hunter went above and beyond my expectations. Genuinely a company who should be proud of the exceptional service they’ve given me. I am truly gobsmacked!!!!!

I was promised by Aisling as part of the deal a £50 CH voucher. It never came and I asked about it via email 3 times and nobody go back to me. Shoddy.

Price match

I have requested a price match on watch because I was trusting their shop more than the other. They said they were gonna come back to me. 2 days later I have contacted them again asking about the price match. They assured me that they will let me know by morning next day. 2 days later again I am contacting to chase this up and their response was now it's out of stock so we cannot price match it. So disappointed for the poor service. I missed the chance the buy it from a different shop because they have been so unreliable and slow

We had brilliant service from Adeola in the Lakeside branch, very happy with our wedding bands, Adeola and team were very helpful, friendly and took their time with us in finding and sizing the right rings. Bad Atmosphere in Kingston

Hello. My name is Carrie. I have shopped in your Bromley store as well as your Kingston store. In both I have had the pleasure of meeting Jack. He is a darling and so helpful. A few days ago I was in Kingston and I had the displeasure of hearing your new manager, Chris yelling at staff people being extremely on edge. It made the whole experience rather stressful. While I still love the store, I don't think I would go into Kingston again anytime soon.

The watch I bought came well packaged and was delivered as promised. The watch was offered at a better price than anywhere else I looked. Very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend Chisholm Hunter.

Very poor experience

I came in to the Princes street store on Tuesday to buy my daughter's 21st birthday present. I had been in twice before and had seen and tried on a beautiful diamond necklace for her. I returned to finally buy it. I pointed it out in the window to the assistant ( the price was clearly seen below the necklace on its' stand).
The assistant said there was no tag on the necklace therefore she would have to get it checked. It turned out that the necklace I had chosen was in fact a 0.5 carat and not the 0.33 carat diamond (which they previously said it was.) So all of a sudden the price went up by over £700. I started to feel very unsure of the purchase as I know nothing about diamonds. It was a hugely disappointing experience for what should have been a lovely, once in a lifetime experience. The manager offered to take another £5 off for the inconvenience- really? The entire experience left me with a really bad taste in my mouth.
