Always a great service and never a problem accommodating my bicycle. I took the bus from Kilbeggan to Ballinasloe, driver allowed the appropriate time for me to be sure the bike was safe and had a very pleasant trip. I think Citylink is a great option for touring cyclists.

Outstanding Service Every Single Time – 5 Stars!
I've used Citylink Bus Service to and from Galway many times, and the one thing that never changes is the exceptional level of service. Every single member of staff I've dealt with, from the booking team to customer service, has been incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.
Nothing ever seems like too much trouble. The booking process is always smooth, and if I've needed assistance, it's been dealt with quickly and with a smile. It's refreshing to experience such consistently high standards—no matter how many times I travel, the service is always first class.
A huge thank you to the entire team. Your friendliness, professionalism, and dedication really stand out, and it's clear you take pride in what you do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Citylink to anyone travelling to or from Galway. Keep up the fantastic work!

I was on the Dublin to Cork 18:30 on July 4th where the bus driver fell asleep behind the wheel twice! Citylink try to say he made a 'safe journey' I'd love to see what footage they were looking at as not only myself but 60-70 other passengers also saw the same. Not only was he asleep he was driving all over the road he is a reckless driver An absolute disgrace trying to brush this under the carpet! What will the response be when that driver does it again but kills people? What excuse will ye try to come up with?

Hello Team Citylink,
I wanted to take a moment to recognise two of your drivers, Catherine and Noel, who are an absolute credit to Citylink.
I genuinely cannot understand how playing music, videos, taking phone calls and generally having devices blasting at full volume has become so normal in public spaces. Travelling should not mean listening to everyone else's entertainment or notifications.
What makes every journey with Catherine or Noel so enjoyable is that they set the standard from the moment passengers board. Their polite but clear reminders that phones should be kept on silent, that videos and music should not be played aloud, and that eating and drinking should be avoided make an enormous difference to the experience for everyone on board.
It is refreshing to see drivers who are willing to set those expectations. It creates a calm, respectful atmosphere that so many passengers appreciate but perhaps never think to mention.
Citylink already provides an excellent service, but your drivers are a huge part of what makes it stand out. Catherine and Noel are genuine superstars and deserve recognition for the professionalism and courtesy they show every day.
Please keep encouraging this no-volume, considerate approach. Reminding passengers to put their phones on silent is such a simple thing, yet it makes a world of difference. Some people seem determined to let the whole bus hear every email, text and notification they receive, and it can be incredibly distracting. Having drivers who tackle this politely but confidently makes travelling far more pleasant for everyone.
Please pass on my thanks to Catherine and Noel. They represent the very best of Citylink, and I hope they know how much their efforts are appreciated.
Up Galway.
Lisa.

A reliable regular service Cork/Dublin used for many many years. Drivers are polite and helpful.
Room to improve:
- Solve the water problem for the toilet sinks or provide hand sanitizer
- Ask ALL drivers on ALL journeys to remind passengers that headphones MUST be used. Also put a small window sticker on every row and add this to the confirmation emails. There's a very tiny cost to this that would dramatically improve passenger experience.
- Resolve intermittent WIFI issues

Overall, I've had a very good experience travelling with Citylink. The buses are comfortable, reliable, and the drivers are consistently polite, friendly, and professional, which makes travelling a pleasant experience.
One area that I believe could be improved is the seating arrangement. It would be a great addition if passengers could reserve specific seats when booking their tickets. This is particularly noticeable when boarding at Dublin Crampton Quay, where the boarding process can be quite disorganized, especially on busy services. As seats are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, families, couples, or friends who have booked together often end up having to sit separately if the bus is crowded.
Introducing reserved seating would make the boarding process smoother, reduce unnecessary stress for passengers, and significantly improve the overall travel experience. Apart from this suggestion, I'm very happy with the service and would happily recommend Citylink.

I came all the way from Jamaica. I decided to take a trip from Galway to Cork. What made my trip outstanding was my driver Nicola Donnellan - top notch! When I came off in Cork I said I hope I get her again on the way back. Now, when I saw the bus pulling up with Nicola driving (to go back) I started to scream her name with excitement! True story! The moral of the story here is my City Link experience has been phenomenal! I recommend City Link and I recommend that everyone travel from Galway to Cork and vice versa at least once with Nicola!

I had a very mixed experience with Irish CityLink.
On the positive side, I must say they genuinely helped us once when a bus we had booked with another company simply did not arrive. In that situation, Irish CityLink was extremely convenient: the journey was fast, the app was easy to use, and the whole booking process felt smooth and intuitive. I was genuinely impressed and very grateful at the time.
Unfortunately, that positive impression has now been completely undermined by the company’s strict non-refundable policy.
We had booked airport travel as a family, and due to an unexpected change in plans, we are now losing a considerable amount of money. I fully understand that companies need policies, but what feels particularly disappointing is that this condition was not made clear enough within the app interface at the point of booking. For something as important as a non-refundable fare, especially when multiple tickets are involved, I would expect this information to be much more visible and transparent.
As a result, what began as a very positive impression has turned into a very disappointing one. The service itself may be convenient, but the lack of flexibility and the way the refund policy is presented make it very difficult for me to recommend.
Sadly, I will avoid using Irish CityLink in the future wherever possible.

Update to reply from Citylink: it was the Friday last 12.30 from Dublin city to Cork and return on Sunday at 2.30. No Wifi but, more importantly, the issue of no running water in toilet has been an issue for years.
Have been using this service for years and always reliable and on time. However, increased prices and an aging fleet make it less attractive. I'm typing this on the Dublin to Cork afternoon bus on 12 June. No Wifi and, far worse, no water in the shabby and smelly toilet. Lack of water facility has been an issue for many years and is a serious matter of public hygiene. Disgraceful with the prices now being charged but also something that's a basic essential.

Unnecessary comments about alcohol consumption on the 2am bus from Castlebar to Tuam on 07.06.26. At 2 in the morning, clearly I intend to get on the bus and make a racket instead of fall asleep peacefully for an hour. Gets right on my nerve when you judge the book by the cover. Lose the attitude man, I'm human too.

We booked our tickets for 11 o clock. A message and email confirmed our time for 11 . We arrived at the bus at 10:52 the bus driver refused to let us on despite the fact we'd each paid 22 euros. He was unapologetic, rude and Aragont. Very disappointing. We eventually got a bus 2 hours later the bus is quit unhygienic. Bus Eireann and Expressway are much better and have nicer staff then this crowd.
