When I first contacted Clutch's website, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to input my vehicle's information. I knew their offer was more than fair and more than any dealership would've given me.
Once I was ready to firm up the offer, Clutch gave me a straightforward set of instructions to expedite the process.
They gave me options - pick up or drop-off.
I chose drop-off. It was in a parking lot. I noticed the car with no plate but the license plate holder with Clutch on it.
I turned over the keys, they did a visual inspection, and before I knew it, the deal was done. Money was in my account. It was such an easy transaction. For once, I didn't feel as if my vehicle was undervalued.
I would do it again.

My experience purchasing a vehicle from Clutch was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.

The vehicle was delivered with an A/C vent that was not functioning properly and visible rust on the door handle, neither of which had been disclosed prior to delivery. When I contacted customer service about these issues, instead of taking responsibility and working toward a reasonable solution, I was met with a dismissive and patronizing attitude.

I was informed that they would not address the rust issue at all, despite it being an undisclosed defect. For the faulty A/C vent, their solution was to have me send the vehicle back rather than arranging a convenient repair or showing any flexibility. For a company that promotes a hassle-free car-buying experience, this response was incredibly disappointing.

Aside from the delivery driver, who was professional and pleasant, every representative I dealt with was unhelpful and unwilling to resolve legitimate concerns. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and refusal to stand behind the condition of the vehicle left me feeling completely let down.

Buying a car should be an exciting and positive experience. Instead, dealing with Clutch became frustrating, stressful, and exhausting. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Clutch to others and will certainly never purchase a vehicle from them again.

Buyer beware: make sure you thoroughly inspect the vehicle upon delivery, because if issues arise, don't expect much support from customer service.
