We purchased a wheelchair from here in September.

We'd seen it advertised, in store in July at £349 ex vat, saving £50 (reduced from £399)

On a Saturday in September we decided to purchase at £349.

On the Tuesday after purchase, the product had come off sale BUT also dropped £150 from the Non-sale price of £399 to £249.

£100 more than I'd paid for the 'sale' item the previous working day.

I approached the store and they asked for a few weeks to 'investigate the issue' They have now changed the advertising to says it's 'end of line'.

That may make the 'reduced price valid' but I'm still out £100!

Be careful - I'm not sure if this is a one off or standard practise, as obvioulsy we don't purchase from here very often.

Just wanted to thank your company and Alex the fitter for a fantastic service and a job well done. Alex explained to my parents the entire process and fitted the lift the same day with care and sympathy.

It's rare these days to find a company that does what it says on the tin and you do that in spades so a big thanks for that. Sorry about the confusion over dates and times but it worked in the end.

I went to Ableworld in Leeds and was served by Andy. He was absolutely brilliant, very kind and diligent. He took lots of time with me to explain everything to adjust and set every so it fit me just right. He made what was quite a difficult day for me, a daunting task, fun and enjoyable, and I left with everything that I needed. Can't rate highly enough!

Arrived to have a look at the latest carbon fibre folding scooter. Very friendly welcome and chat with Pete who demonstrated the scooter and showed me how to fold and unfold etc. I then had a whiz around the shop and outside. So delighted with it I bought it. Entire experience of Ableworld in Newark was first class. They carry a huge range of scooters and other mobility aids. Prices are very competitive and having them so close to home gives me peace of mind if I need help in the future.

My wife and I went to Ableworld in Shrewsbury yesterday (03/06/25) to view and purchase a mobility scooter that would breakdown to fit into the car boot. We were greeted by Sarah who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the different scooters that we were viewing. There was no sales pressure on ‘this one over that one’, just honest and practical advice as to which scooter would suit us the best. She then took my wife through the practical test drive both inside and outside the shop allowing her to try various manoeuvres to get the feel for comfort and ease of operation. After this, she then very clearly explained and demonstrated the breakdown and re-assemble process for the scooter that we had chosen. Her friendly manner, patience and sense of humour are all a great credit/asset to the store. We have no hesitation of recommending Ableworld – Shrewbury as the disabled goods store to go to.

Ableworld Gloucester are so friendly, knowledgeable and polite.
I was having an issue with my scooter which kept stopping so I went into the gloucester branch as I was talking to the sales lady, Ian the engineer came from the back of the shop and asked me what the problem was, he said straight away the key was on a keyring with my purse and that was the problem.
Absolutely fantastic would definitely recommend them for any if your needs.

Peter Wright greeted us warmly, was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He made our choice of scooters very easy to make and we bought two. Thank you Peter.

Ableworld Shrewsbury: Firstly I would recommend Ableworld for repairs. Jake the engineer was so helpful and tried all he could to fix our chair. Even though we chose not to get it repaired he was still helpful in trying to adapt our new one. Excellent knowledge and friendly service.
Now to purchasing: to begin with I cannot stand sales staff so when I was looking at wheelchairs here my husband and I were happily surprised to NOT be talked into buying anything. Instead Mark gave us time to look try and honestly answered questions- didn't try selling us the dearest just advised what the difference was and left us uo make our choice.
Absolutely don't go elsewhere. All you get is honest friendly people who know what they are talking about.

As promised Graham came at 10 am and worked without a break until 4pm on our stair lift. The quality of his work was excellent and the actual stair lift is very sturdy and efficient. Price was reasonable too.

We have been to several shops for a mobility scooter
We went to Christchurch to try more to be greeted by Rebecca, who very nicely asked what are needs were ,she processed to explain about weight,ease of dismantle and very Happy to go over what she said,and more than hats let me test drive any,she was very knowledgeable of all products
Rebecca was very compassionate and very caring, she made the experience a pleasure rather than intimidating

The Burton brach were amazing . Especially Kirsty who listen to what we wanted and was extremely knowledgeable about the products. We came away with the scooter and some good advice. The scooter i chose was demonstrated to us and I was encouraged to have a go , the showroom is so big. I would recommend going to Ableworld before going anywhere else. Kisty was so approachable.

We went into the shop with no idea what scooter would be best for Mum. She needed one for a cruise which would be compliant with airlines and cruise dimensions.

Jasmine listened carefully, was very patient while I check with the cruise company and asked a lot of questions (which my Mum was frustrated about) to ensure we got the best mobility scooter for her needs.

She carefully showed us how to dismantle the chosen scooter and even ensured it fitted into my mum’s car boot before getting us to put it back together.

The price was within the range of my mum’s budget and they delivered it two days later with a free shopping bag.

The shop has a wide range of speciality equipment for those who need support.

Martin from the Reading branch did an at home demonstration of wheelchairs for my 96 year old dad. He was very informative, caring, and communicated well with my dad. Martin also spent two hours of his own time doing the demonstration as the company had scheduled him for 5pm when he finished work. Martin still turned up, still went through everything thoroughly and did not rush to get home. My dad bought a power chair - which will transform his life at home. All due to Martin being a conscientious, thoughtful and dedicated person. Thank you.

Last week I went to Ableworld Burton 0n Trent and tried the new lightweight Carbon Fibre Powerchair, helped by their salesman Russel. This week the decision was completed and I went to definitely buy. I was attended by Kirsty and Matt and just like the previous visit, they went out of their way to make sure I had got what I wanted and all the info on it. It was a real pleasure to shop with Ableworld. They made you feel you mattered to them and any further mobility aids I will be needing in the future, which I am sure there will be several, I shall go straight to Ableworld.

Dave and the team at Ableworld in Christchurch in Dorset have been very helpful over the years of buying electric wheelchairs and ramps etc. When I have had an issue with my wheelchair they have always been on hand to help me.
