We purchased a camper from CCSW in Paignton and have had nothing but trouble with it which has necessitated numerous garage call outs and expensive repair bills since. Despite the camper costing £40K, there have been ongoing problems from day one! So far various parts have had to be replaced due to long term existing faults. It seems that the habitation check that CCSW had carried out by another company was the only check done and that the warranty that they provide through Auto protect isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Repair bills have totalled hundreds of pounds of which the latest of which, AP warranty refused to cover. Even though it is still under warranty! We found the director to be an unprofessional, totally unhelpful, rude and thoroughly disagreeable character. His only recourse to the ongoing problems was to offer us to use his company to resell the vehicle, “if we weren’t happy” in order to gain himself another brokerage fee and for him sell it on to some other unsuspecting customer! This is a company who is
absolutely not to be trusted !!

I was contacted by Steve who offered to assist me in selling my Campervan. I took the vehicle to the Paignton showroom and was completely surprised soon afterwards that a deposit was taken and the vehicle sold with funds credited to my bank in just over 2 weeks. I’m very grateful for the expert handling of the entire sales process, and close assistance from Steve, Josh, Carl and Vicky. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to sell your van, they are experienced and clearly well connected to achieve a good outcome.

Bought a camper from these guys in January & we’ve had nothing but trouble with it since. It’s cost us over £4000 so far including having a clutch and dual mass fly wheel replaced which shouldn’t even be on a t5, meaning other parts had to be replaced too as they then didn’t fit the correct clutch. The garage has told us to expect further problems too due to botch jobs that have been completed on previous repairs, so it seems that the ‘vehicle checks’ that CCSW carry out are dubious to say the least, and along with that the warranty that they provide through Auto protect isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. The most recent repair bill totalled £3000 of which AP only covered £500 when it should have been £1500, and to get this token amount took us FIVE HOURS of phone calls due to their ridiculous claims procedure and shoddy customer service. Avoid like the plague.

Update following response - the camper was bought in my partners name (initials PTQ - from an address in Bude - from Josh. Sale completed on 25th January). We emailed you on 10/04/25 about an issue with the brakes and MOT, and your reply was ´unfortunately faults/breakdowns do happen with motor vehicles’ (so didn’t expect anything positive from repeated contact). And while we accept that this is true for wear and tear, this should not be the case when it comes to shoddy work and poor maintenance that’s been done on a £30k vehicle. I can send you the call logs for AP to prove the length of time we’ve had to spend on the phone to them if you like?

I will call you tomorrow to discuss this matter, and given a positive outcome I will amend this (and my other reviews) but this is very much a genuine review.

This is definitely the way to sell your leisure vehicle, the entire process is seamless and well managed.
The staff and owners are excellent to deal with and certainly know the business.
I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who wishes to either sell or buy.
Clearly it helps if you have realistic expectations and this approach produces good results.
