I very rarely leave reviews, but after working with Coreco for a number of years, I felt that credit really was due.

**Excellent support throughout a very difficult mortgage process**

I would like to thank Louise and the entire Coreco team for their outstanding support in arranging our Lifetime Mortgage.

Our case became very complicated because of a PRA restriction on the property, which delayed completion and created a great deal of stress and uncertainty. Throughout this difficult period, Louise remained committed, proactive and determined to get everything resolved. She was the main driving force behind the process and kept pushing matters forward until we finally completed.

What made her support particularly special was the understanding she showed towards our personal circumstances. My wife has been seriously unwell, and I have been managing her medical care alongside the mortgage difficulties. Louise took a great deal of pressure off me by keeping on top of the case, coordinating with the relevant parties and making sure things continued to move forward.

I would also like to thank Jordan, Toni and everyone at Coreco who helped behind the scenes. Their communication, patience and support were greatly appreciated.

I have used Coreco for a few years now & I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The team are so reliable. They contact you within time of your current mortgage coming up for review and take the hard work out of it. I have recommended Coreco to others who have gone on to use them. We were initially given good advice by Roy, followed all instructions and were told he would sort out our mortgage product switch. We emailed him to confirm whether he had completed the switch but got no reply. Our deadline passed and the switch was not completed, costing us £300 due to going to the automatic variable rate. We had to sort it out ourselves in the end anyway and got a worse deal as a result of his inaction. We told him that email communication was our preference due to working hours but only received infrequent cold calls. Overall experience was very unprofessional and we will not be using Coreco again.

Our broker Sam Warren was extremely helpful and responsive as per usual - we felt that he really understood our needs, presented us with enough options and took time to answer any queries. He and Kieran Tilley then supported us through the conveyancing process, always responding to our queries in a timely manner.

We have been Coreco customers since taking out our mortgage in 2017. Every time a renewal approached, Coreco contacted us relentlessly — emails, reminder emails, phone calls, voicemails — all to ensure we would remortgage through them. The same happened this year around February/March, with messages from both their Client Retention Manager and Client Services Team.

However, when we informed them that we had decided to repay the remaining balance of our mortgage, everything changed. We politely asked whether they could assist with the process, given that Coreco handled the original arrangements. We emailed both teams. We followed up. Not a single reply. Not even a one‑line acknowledgement to confirm whether they could help or not.

It became very clear that once they realised there was no commission to be earned, the enthusiasm, politeness, and constant communication disappeared overnight. The contrast was astonishing and deeply disappointing.

And it’s not just us. Close friends of ours lost an excellent remortgage offer with their existing provider because Coreco assured them they could secure a better deal. That “better deal” never materialised. Our friends ended up paying higher rates — but Coreco still collected their commission.

To be fair, we waited until the mortgage redemption process was fully completed before leaving a review. We wanted to give Coreco the benefit of the doubt in case they planned to contact us closer to the expiry date. Of course, nothing happened. Once the redemption was finalised, it was clear our judgement had been correct.

Based on our experience, their advice and customer service seem driven entirely by what they can earn from you. That makes their guidance impossible to trust.

We have now repaid our mortgage and are considering a second property. After this experience, we will not be using Coreco again. We will go directly to major mortgage providers or choose another broker. So much for customer retention.

I've used Coreco for recent new mortgage (Alex Dowding) and putting in place life assurance (Pauline Grant) and had a great experience with both. Alex is really personable, reliable, responsive and understands your needs and explains things very well. Pauline also very friendly and reliable and explained everything clearly and makes sure the protection is right for you. I really trust both and will be using them in the future for my needs.

I was due to renew my fixed rate during a volatile period where geo-politics is effecting interest rates. Scott was great, answered all my questions. The experience was easy to navigate in terms of all the options available to me.
