Excellent experience
Copenhagen Eye Institute is a fantastic facility for anyone in need of improving their eye health. It has a strategic location, elegant interiors, and welcoming staff.
I came to the institute with a difficult condition, an unusual case. I had had exams and revisions done in other clinics, but was never sure about going through with treatment because I didn't trust them. I came to CEI, and in a matter of 2 DAYS I had accepted treatment and undergone a complicated eye surgery that deemed excellent results. The difference was in the doctor who took my case: Javier Cabrerizo. Javier is a master of his field. His colleagues referred to him as being "really good", but when I met him, and he explained my condition and guided me through my treatment, I understood what they meant. In one session, we created a trust bond that allowed me to accept treatment and feel like I was in good hands. He took ACCOUNTABILITY for my treatment and ownership of my results. He reassured me that he would be there throughout my whole process. He designed an approach to tackle my case and a plan for all the possible outcomes. He is one of the best professionals I have encountered in my life. My surgery went really well and I have also received premium care after the fact. Thank you very much Javier and all staff at CEI for an amazing experience.

Har efter 1. besøg brugt klinikken flere gange i forbindelse med en grå stær operation - ikke som privat patient - men som "almindelig" patient. De er utroligt dygtige på alle områder, profesionelle så det batter, søde, smilende og tryghedsskabende, og gør alt for at forklare forløb og kommende behandlinger på en måde, så man går hjem med ro på. Overså regnbuehindebetændelse
Overså en voldsom regnbuehindebetændelse i flere omgange. Blev tilset af optiker (?) ved kontrol, og en antibiotikabehandling for en ikke-eksisterende infektion blev sat igang. Ved næste kontrol var smerterne ulidelige og jeg følte at jeg skulle være meget insisterende og understrege og uddybe smerternes karakter og at jeg havde floaters. Det undrer mig, at der ikke blev spurgt mere ind. Blev så henvist til Glostrup. Dernæst fulgte adskillige måneders binyrebarkhormondråber 8 x dagligt. Afventer kenalog (injektion i øjet med et depot af binyrebark). Syn på øjet nedsat 32%.

Vi vil desuden gerne fuldt ud anerkende, at vi kan fejlfortolke kliniske tegn. Som et kirurgisk institut med omkring 9.000 konsultationer om året ville det være naivt og misvisende at afvise at denne mulighed . Det er noget, vi arbejder på at minimere hver eneste dag gennem en kombination af faglig dygtighed, løbende opdatering, korrekt ressourceallokering, investering i den bedste teknologi og tilstrækkelig tid til hver patient.
Hele det kliniske team har gennemgået din sag grundigt to gange inden for de seneste uger, og vi vil derfor gerne bede om muligheden for at forklare, hvorfor vores kliniske vurdering i dette tilfælde er anderledes end din.
Afslutningsvis vil vi understrege, at vi altid er åbne for dialog. Tøv endelig ikke med at kontakte os, hvis der er noget, vi kan hjælpe med.

Exceptional Care, Outstanding Results
I cannot recommend Dr. Javier highly enough.
From my very first consultation, he showed an extraordinary level of empathy, professionalism, and genuine care. I was extremely nervous before both of my procedures, yet he always made me feel comfortable, informed, and reassured. He took the time to explain everything clearly and never made me feel rushed.
His wonderful assistant, Juta, deserves special recognition as well. Together, they created an environment where I felt supported every step of the way. Their kindness, patience, and constant smiles made a huge difference throughout my journey.
Dr. Javier first performed my upper eyelid surgery, and the results were excellent. Three months later, following his recommendation, I underwent bilateral cataract surgery with premium lens replacement. Once again, the entire experience was outstanding—from the preparation and communication to the surgery itself and the follow-up care.
Not only is Dr. Javier a highly skilled surgeon, but he is also a doctor who truly cares about his patients as people. Feeling informed, safe, and genuinely cared for during a medical procedure is invaluable, and that is exactly what he and Juta provided.

Excellent care in a calm and beautiful clinic
Really excellent experience with Copenhagen Eye Institute. The entire team was warm, professional, and reassuring from the beginning, and I felt genuinely well cared for throughout the process. I especially appreciated how much time they took to explain everything clearly and answer questions in a calm and thoughtful way.
The clinic itself is also beautifully designed — bright, calm, and welcoming — which made the experience feel much less stressful than a typical medical appointment. Overall, the level of care and attention to detail was outstanding, and I would highly recommend them.

I was recommended Copenhagen Eye Institute as I've been struggling with my vision in the recent months. I have been to your standard high street optician and unfortunately paid a dear price for glasses that I've never felt helped my condition. Upon arrival at the Institute I was warmly greeted at reception and with very little waiting time I received the most comprehensive tests I've ever experienced and all done in the secure and competent hands of the personal. There was no rush to conclusions and I got the pleasure of being also seen by one of the top eye specialists in Scandinavia for a second opinion. There was never any pressure to commit to the treatments on offer but a staged approach to the issues were suggested and I left knowing I was in good hands. The clinic is modern and the treatments available are cutting edge and I'm grateful that I found the Copenhagen Eye Institute and look forward to continuing my treatment with them. I can highly recommend their services. First class.
