Diamond Buyers International Avis 

I had a very concerning experience with this company. Their website and reviews clearly show that they buy loose diamonds, and many customers have successfully sold loose stones to them. However, after I submitted my items, I was suddenly told they do not purchase loose stones at all.

Shortly after, my account access was removed, preventing me from tracking my shipment, which was alarming. This treatment was inconsistent with what is publicly advertised and with the experiences described by other customers.

As a young Black man submitting multiple legitimate stones with proper documentation, I could not help but feel profiled based on how abruptly my business was declined and how access to my account was cut off. Transparency and consistency matter when customers are trusting you with valuable property, and this experience fell far short of that standard.

The folks at DBI are knowledgeable, patient, responsive and trustworthy. I sold a diamond solitaire to them for a very fair price, got paid within 24 hours, and it was absolutely zero hassle. I highly recommend anybody looking to liquidate family heirlooms, especially diamonds, start with DBI.

After reaching out in person to several local well known dealers in town I was disappointed in my value the stores were giving me for my inherited ring. After reading several reviews and emailing Demitri, he quickly reached out to call me and talk. Very knowledgeable, to the point and assured me my kit would arrive safely to them and gave an estimation on how long it would take. He notified me all throughout the process and even called to verify if he could remove a stone to fully inspect. That evening, he gave me an offer much more than 2-3 local shops gave me previously. Within 2 days of accepting offer, money was direct deposited. It literally can't get any more simple than this

I buy and sell jewelry for a living but have always been hesitant to send away a diamond ring in the mail. After working with DBI I sent one in and the price he gave me was way more than any local jeweler or pawn shop! it was even higher than the other online buyers by far!! I will absolutely recommend this company to anyone!! it is safe and you will get a better offer than anywhere else! Outstanding Experience!
I wholeheartedly recommend Diamond Buyers International. I was initially EXTREMELY wary of sending my valuable jewelry through the mail; a conversation with Dimitri assuaged those fears. I asked flat out why I should trust him - not only did he explain their process in detail, but he also generously shared his time with me about how the entire business model works. When I received the offer in the timeframe anticipated I accepted it; even though it was several hundred dollars lower than the initial minimum price we had discussed. I sent a message asking for clarification - and expressing that I did NOT expect him to honor the original number, since I had not questioned it, I was merely wondering. I imagine my surprise when he explained the reason for the variance in price - then offered to send me the difference! This far exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to use this company again: their integrity is exceeded only by their outstanding customer service.

First, before i decided to go through this process i honestly read every review on here. Now completing the process I fully agree with everyone’s feedback on their experience especially their interaction with Demitri. For anyone thinking about selling their diamond(s) for the first time, it’s a very nerve wracking situation especially sending high value items via mail (FedEx). But from the moment I interacted with Demitri, he walked me through the entire process step by step, made me feel at ease and kept in touch multiple times in the day to answer my every questions and ease my worries. He was compassionate, understanding and kind which all showed through via email, or if you have a chance to chat with him, over the phone. He did not fault my pregnancy brain for forgetting some things, and he fully considered all aspects of my diamond before making an offer. I highly recommend anyone trying to sell their valuable diamonds to diamond buyers. And if you have a chance to deal with Demitri directly, you won’t be sorrry!

About six months ago, I thought about bringing my unwanted jewelry to a local jeweler for appraisal/possible purchase, but instead it has been sitting in a drawer.

From the point of requesting the pre-paid airbill and kit from DBI to the point that the money landed in my bank account was three business days, and the personalized service I received from Demitri was wonderful.
