I like the large pictures of the meal and the instructions are easy to follow. If there is a problem with the quality of the food, I can report it and get a credit right away.

Delivery carelessness

Delivery carelessness. I have two addresses. I updated in their system prior to placing current order. All confirmations indicated the change had been registered, but order tracking indicated it was being sent to the wrong address. Customer service was useless in an attempt to stop delivery and mitigate consequences of leaving a food package at a vacant address.

UPDATE;
The reply from the company indicated that they didn’t read my comments. Their “customer service” said there was no way they could stop the misdirected delivery, indicating that they weren’t even going to try.

I contacted the courier myself with a request to return the delivery because Dinnerly got the address wrong. No problem, the delivery was not left at a vacant address. Customer servshould have been able to do this.

Box arrived a day late and at 8:35 pm

Box arrived a day late and at 8:35 pm. There were no "frozen" ice packs just warm ones 2 on the bottom had a sliver of ice against the cardboard box. The cheese was melted together, the meats (chicken and beef) were warm toasty warm. They sent a bad onion and no recipes. Needless to say it was the first and Last box I ever order

The meals are supposed to be for 2…

The meals are supposed to be for 3 people. We liked the recipes in the first few boxes, so we increased the days for meals. However, lately the meals seem to be lacking. They seem much smaller than the meals in the past, and they seem like not as much care for a tasty meal for 2 people.

I thoroughly appreciate the fresh ingredients, few steps, variety of recipes, opportunity to change out meals if I prefer. Overall an outstanding experience!

Would recommend!

The recipes are pretty easy to fix and come with good instructions. My whole family of 4 generally enjoys the food. Sometimes the portions are on the smaller side.
I have also had packets of ingredients come leaking out in the box recently.

Top meal service

I’ve tried all of the meal plan services, and Dinnerly always comes out on top. Recipes are easy to prepare, there is great variety, and the meals are all delicious! We especially love the sauces!

Used to love it, but feeling a bit conflicted lately

I was a customer for over a year and loved it before I had to cancel due to both budget and schedule issues. I recently restarted my subscription and was thrilled to see they did away with the 3 meal minimum requirement. A large part of why I cancelled was with our busy schedule 3 meals a week sometimes was too much. The savings from not having to order 3 definitely helped, also. The problem is ever since restarting any meal that comes with sour cream or cream cheese comes with at least one of those busted open and covering the other items. I'm consistently having to clean sour cream or cream cheese off of everything nearly every single week. It's getting very frustrating. Also every meal that comes with steak is now an upgrade. That was not the case previously and it's pretty disappointing. These are not large or expensive cuts of steak and often come with mashed potatoes or other inexpensive sides so the price hike feels unnecessary, especially after the shipping price was increased a while back.

Overall

Overall the meals are good and ingredients are fresh. The packing is one con. because at times you can tell the ingredients have been tossed around. When they are packed in the right box it is fine but recently they been pack in the largest box and my ingredients are damaged.

They have lost 2 boxes already and most of the ingredients come bad or close to being bad, I’m kicking myself for signing up with them bc I didn’t get a box this week and being on a tight budget we now have no money for food bc of their screwup. Don’t waste your money on them, u will be disappointed sooner or later.

Great for a vegetarian

The dishes are unique, especially since I'm a vegetarian so lots of recipe boxes repeat the same few recipes. They do seem a little expensive for what I get, but I do like that I don't have food waste and I get to try new options I wouldn't have thought of before.

I ordered Dinnerly for my wife and…

I ordered Dinnerly for my wife and myself. After looking at all the personal reviews we thought that Dinnerly was the best choice for our first time for a home meal delivery service. We are not digital experts, but the site was relatively easy to us. We had problems with finding the recipes and copying and pasting to print the recipes took most of the afternoon. Had issues with some of the ingredients not being fresh. They were not cool to the touch when delivered. We did not choose any additional meals and canceled, somehow dinnerly did not accept our cancelation: see here: We can't wait to cook with you again! Reactivate Subscription And yet they sent us another box costing almost 100 dollars, without any input from me, including a meal that I am allergic to. Seems like a scam to me. Very disappointed. I have reached out to dinnerly hoping to resolve this, but they told me to bad.

Dinnerly reached out to me. It seems rather funny. After several email, prior to my review nothing was done, yet after I write a review they want to help. Shame on them for not helping when I first raised my concerns.

Variety

I like the variety and large selection of dishes, it's not just carrots and potatoes all of the time, and most of the dinners have been delicious. The recipes can be hard to parse, especially when the ingredient quantities provided don't match the recipe.

It is amazing

It is amazing! It is just the right amount for my husband and I and we have saved money cooking at home instead of eating out constantly! Being just the 2 of us now that our kids out grown and out of the house, neither of us knew how to cook for just 2 since we have 6 kids! Dinnerly has helped with food waste since we aren’t making enough for 8 anymore!!

Choices and wonderful meals

Almost every meal I have picked and eaten have been wonderful. I have only had a few problems but any time I do they take care of it right away. I rave about it so much that I got a coworker to try it out. He loved it too.

For the second box in a row

For the second box in a row, I was missing meat that I ordered. Also, a broth concentrate was busted and all over the other ingredients. There were no recipe cards. I’m cancelling. Yall can’t get it together. This is why I cancelled before.

convenient, easy, simple but variable customer service

we love the convenience and regularity. no need to plan! less food waste when trying new spices. BUT not good service the one time a meat packet leaked on the other open food. told us to throw away anything the blood touched (yes!) then made only small reduction in the price. later said we could submit receipts for food we had to buy. after several years being loyal and usually satisfied customers this was a disappointment
