Thank you for your response. However, I must reiterate my request for a full or partial refund, as I believe the product/service provided does not align with what was advertised. Your refusal to offer a refund is concerning, especially given the misleading and inaccurate information provided during the process.
I would like to understand why my refund request has not been honored, as this contradicts consumer protection laws, specifically:
• The Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. § 45): Prohibits unfair or deceptive acts in commerce, including misleading advertising.
• Alabama’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act (Code of Alabama § 8-19-1): Protects consumers from false advertising, misrepresentation, or concealment of material facts.
• The Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. § 1693): Ensures that consumers are protected in online transactions and can dispute unauthorized charges.
If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will explore options to report this matter to the Alabama Better Business Bureau, as well as other relevant regulatory bodies. I am also considering reporting Featheringill Capital and Divorce.com for the dissemination of misleading information that has negatively impacted my experience as a consumer.
I kindly ask that you reconsider my request for a refund, as it is not only a matter of fairness but also a legal obligation. Please respond within 2 business days to confirm the resolution of this issue.

If I could give zero stars I would.
I have been trying to finalize a simple, uncontested, no children/dependent divorce for about 6 months. Divorce.com claims if you get the $1000 plan they will file everything and take care of it all. That is not true. They will do some things but you will have to print out stacks of your own forms. You can never speak with a caseworker by phone or chat, just email so when they send you packets of forms with no instructions they are no help at all. Customer service agents are unable to help with anything specific and just say "we can email your caseworker". Overall, we could have done this cheaper and faster by hiring a local attorney or doing it ourselves .The experience with them was worse than the end of the marriage. I am considering contesting the charges on our account.

Go to your state's court website and follow instructions, get a lawyer, whatever, just DON'T WORK with them.
Here's what happened after paying the 1k+ premium package:
- I filled out my forms;
- I sent if to them in a sealed envelope along with my money order ($430) for the filling fee;
- After a few weeks status changed to "forms were sent to court";
- Few weeks passed, no movement, so I follow up over email;
- They say "it was sent";
- Then they wrote another email saying they never filled, found the forms but not the money order
RESULT: 6 months delay, money lost and now I'll have to do it myself

This turned out to be a six month process with lost documents to include money order, (which cost me an extra 25 dollars to get refund from post office). Long delays in filing process and in the end I still had paperwork that I was responsible for to complete divorce proceedings and also still had to go to court (which was out of state to were i Iive) to get it finalized. At the beginning of filing on line it gives you the illusion that it was a simple 4 to 6 week process right from the comfort of my home, didn't tun out that way.

NOPE, they will charge you for a service that is not used. The divorce paperwork wasnt completed for submission, they are still charging me for a "pacakge" that isnt completly used, after I had asked for a refund.
To get a divorce through the site, both parties have to be consentual, both have to be willing to sign, the less the money involved the better, the less the assets the better. IF you need it simple, here is what you can do instead, yes I am sore, I will pay their little fee so you don't have to:
1. look up local paralegals, they gurantee its court ready and approved, they will hook up the paper work with a guarantee for about $200ish.
2. if you both show up to the court house, then no need to get served, if not, call the local sheriff ask how much they charge to serve divorce papers, usually not more than $100.
Don't say I never helped you.

Awful experience. Everything has a 2 business delay for processing the forms including when they make an error. They just add extra unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. The forms have a basic template and they can't do basic math and understand what gross salary is. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEIR SERVICE

Divorce.com is an absolute rip off. They charged me $200 for a service that the courts offer the public for free. I went through one section of questions when I realized this was the case, I immediately requested a refund. I was told that I had to get on a call with their team to review whether a refund was appropriate. I responded letting them know that I didn't need to review anything with them and I simply no longer needed their service. I never fully filed for my divorce with this service. I was told that due to my having gone through the first section of questions, I was not eligible for a refund, but that they were willing to make an exception and grant me a partial refund. I will be disputing this with my credit card company.

My ex and I have been working with this company for over 3 months and it’s showing our paperwork needs to be delivered to the court. He signed the paperwork about 2 months ago and I have yet to receive anything. I do not recommend!! This company is slowing down everything in my life due to this and at this point I’m ready to file a law suit.

Even when you pay for the highest package, they're not supportive or helpful in working through delicate legal steps. You're left to figure out how to fill out the forms yourself.
Worse they have an incredibly short refund window so by the time you realize you can't use the service it's too late.

I placed my order, my husband is deployed. So we decided to do the process in person once he gets back. Well because it has been more than 10 days, we can’t get our money back not even partial refund. Also, they charge the filing fee the court charges.
