I don’t recommend this service

I don’t recommend this service. You won’t truly know if you are doing it correctly and you won’t get any of your money bank. I lost a thousand dollars using divorce.com and now I have to hire a lawyer and start from the beginning. Btw, I explained the situation to their customer service and was told they don’t do refunds (not even partial refunds). Save your money and hire a lawyer.

I would give 0 stars but it doesn’t let me. This company is an absolute SCAM. Nobody can answer any questions because they will claim it as legal advice. They failed to notify me of not one but two court cases which resulted in my court case being closed and i had to do ALL the work to figure it out. They are unhelpful and not knowledgeable. They refuse to give me a refund or any money back. So now im out more time and money. All the forms are online you can print and file them yourself. This company does nothing but bullsh*t and steal.

No follow through, incomplete filing.

No follow through, horrible support. I have an email where they specifically explain to do things exactly as their documentation states to guarantee a divorce, but I later found out from the courts their efforts are incomplete and I received an email today stating they will not complete what is needed. How is this a guarantee since the court is saying nothing will happen because their work is incomplete. I'm sure they plan to reply and tell me to contact support, but I have already had multiple phone calls and email replies, even forwarded to them what the court said is incomplete and they will not perform. Absolutely atrocious experience.
They responded today, but they are not telling the true story of how they treated me. And I had to ask them to stop calling and put things in writing because they are very deceptive. Everything in the reply about local documents and finalizing and how they say they will help is not true. They specifically stated they will not finalize what is needed therefore there services are both expensive and worthless.

Our service provides access to software and a detailed questionnaire. The questionnaire is to be completed by you with correct and accurate information. The forms are generated by software based on your answers. If answers are not correct or information is left out, the court can ask you to include this information. We also provide detailed instructions on how to finalize the process with the court. If those instructions are not followed this too can cause problems with the court. There may be local forms specific to the court where you are filing - if they were not included with your packet, you may ask us for them to see if they are in our database. Otherwise, the court will have these for you. We understand that things can come up during the process. This happens and we want to ensure that you have everything you need to finalize. You are at the end and are able to simply follow the last steps in order to finalize the divorce. We are here to help use the site so you can correct the information in the questionnaire. The court gave you very clear information on the local form(s) they wanted you to add. If you need help downloading or accessing these, please let us know. Sometimes it is easier to walk through questions on the phone. If you change your mind about letting us give you call, please let us know. We hope that you will revisit the final steps and take advantage of the information you have to finish the process. Again, thank you for sharing your experience and we are hopeful that you will use the resources available to you so can finalize your case.

They did not file all of the necessary…

They did not file all of the necessary paperwork and my divorce was kicked back from the court. It was supposed to be a very simple case because we have no children and split everything equally. They were notified last week, we got an email back saying we would be contacted in 2 business days and now, a week later still nothing!

I deleted my other review because they…

I deleted my other review because they updated my information on the site. I really wish I could post these pictures of how my status changed from them sending me my paperwork for final review to me having an issue where I have to resign and notarize all these papers again. Not only that, but I emailed them asking when will I get the final paper work, and I was told I’ll get a track number via email. Furthermore, I logged in today to find yet another issue. 🗣️I’m going to contact my lawyer. I never got a copy of my contract I asked for via email for my lawyers. I guess that’s why my status was changed… $12-1500 wasted. All of you just go to your local courthouse. This site isn’t worth the stress. FYI they only post 5 star reviews on their site.

I requested a refund for my filling fees! They sent that and over 100 pages that I returned after they told me it was issues…. That’s why you can’t find my email!!

I paid for time with an attorney and…

I paid for time with an attorney and never received it. They canceled the first session and then did not show up for the second session.

Buyer Beware!!! Don’t use this company

Do not use this company for your divorce!!!! Buyer beware!!! I paid $1000 for divorce.com to file my case so that I wouldn’t have to. All said and done there were errors and discrepancies with the forms that they provided and I had to go to court and re file all forms in the correct format anyway. Lost a day of wages and divorce.com says they won’t refund any of the money as they say they met their service requirements. Total scam!!! They should be ashamed of selling snake oil. Do your research and use a better company. Divorce is stressful enough not having to worry about these guys just taking your money.

It's really unclear what to do next…

It's really unclear what to do next after receiving the forms without paying almost $300 more to upgrade. I'm also unclear about what I already paid $500 for.

Very bad experience with this service

Very bad experience with this service. The court ask me to redo the paper work. They said the document I provide was messy. I was trying to contact customer service to get money back because they have money back guarantee but they didn't gave me money back. Don't use this. Waste your money.

I am massively disappointed with this…

I am massively disappointed with this service. They charge over a thousand bucks for a "handheld" experience when I'm almost done with the process before my onboarding date.

After populating the core information, several seemingly critical sections of the forms were left unpopulated. If I was going to populate the forms, I could have driven to city hall and gotten the forms myself.

Go to your local courthouse instead

Save your money and take some time to go to your local courthouse and speak with a FREE family law facilitator. I even spoke with an attorney for free.

The representatives from Divorce.com took so long to get back to me, which is frustrating for a time sensitive process. At every question I was told that I would need to speak with an attorney; which I did on more than one occasion. Unfortunately, the attorney's are both expensive ($250+) and do not know the way that Divorce.com works so they were unable to help me with relevant information for filing.

The representatives told me that I needed to speak with an attorney in instances that did not require an attorney. All things that the local Family Law Facilitator (again, not an attorney) was able to answer. The paperwork through Divorce.com was not nearly as customizable as I've since learned that the forms actually are. Another thing that the representatives were unable to explain to me.

Even after all of that, I ended up having to redo my divorce paperwork and am now just navigating it through the local court system. This experience with Divorce.com was beyond frustrating.

I have previously sent Divorce.com an email outlining my frustrations and it was not even acknowledged or responded to.

I didn't really receive any assistance…

I didn't really receive any assistance and when I tried to reach out to someone I couldn't get in contact with anyone. My case manager never really got back to be after the first phone call and I ended up spending a lot of money for them to basically email me forms that I could have printed myself. On top of the large sum I paid up front the do reoccurring monthly charges. So you'll end up paying like you hired an attorney depending on the process length. My divorce still isn't not finalized, and I still haven't heard from anyone.

Lost Paperwork

My divorce papers have been lost in the mail for over two months. The tracking number shows it going back and forth between two states. Divorce.com has failed to rectify the problem claiming we are the mercy of the USPS. I tried to
File a missing mail report but since I am not the sender or recipient I can do nothing about it. I started the process on 8/10/23. I will change this review once they fix the problem

I spoke to someone on the call and…

I spoke to someone on the call and wanted to get help. The gal was just very low energy and not as helpful, friendly. She seemed impatient. Trust me i don't want to be in this situation either. If i knew how to do this i would have done it all myself... i Definitely wanted further assistance in this process to be reviewed by an experienced person. This is been already extremely stress for me. when is filing to court, i am looking for help that it doesn't gets errors in the filing process. Thankyou
