We are a community farm shop celebrating the best Somerset has to offer. Durslade Farm is the inspiration behind the farm shop – sharing all that is a fresh and seasonal with the local community, and direct to you, nationwide. On the farm we rear award-winning beef and lamb for the farm shop and we also have the walled garden where we grow a selection of herbs, fruit and vegetables. All of our meat is expertly prepared by our Head Butcher Giles and his team. In addition we have an orchard for cider, a vineyard and bee hives for our own honey and a large selection of wild, foraged foods including wild garlic, crab apples, blackberries – which make up our foraged range. Our commitment to sustainability and ethos in working with like-minded suppliers is what connects us to the different producers we work with – from free range farms where animal welfare and best practice is the highest priority, to companies that use materials that are biodegradable or made from recycled materials. We promote and share local talent, supporting small projects with big futures and work with established ones to create special products that you can only find here.

Great products!! Problems with communicating around delivery
Great products! Everything went wrong with ordering them for delivery. I ordered 2 gift baskets on 11/15, but by 12/7, I hadn’t heard a peep about when they would be shipping.
I wrote to Farm Shop (which had by now added me to their email promo list) on 12/1 and got an automated-seeming message 6 days later (!) that said “your order is awaiting fulfillment.”
I asked for my case to be escalated and on the 8th. A human wrote back to say that they had had some trouble securing some of the items I had ordered. By the 15th, only one box had been delivered. Due to some snafu with DHL, and a damaged package, we finally received the replacement parcel on the 18th.
Here’s what Durslade Farm Shop could have done better: communicated.
Instead of leaning back, they should have leant in to tell us immediately a) we have some items back ordered (sorry about that!).
That would have helped enormously. Other than that, we had no issue with the ordered items themselves.

Christmas delivery arrived missing items the…
Christmas delivery arrived missing the 2 puddings needed for Christmas Day. Reason for 4 starts is they called and sorted refund which was amazing customer services thanks to the team for acting so quickly

Zero communications and pointless delivery
Placed an order on the 19th Dec - paid for next day deli try. I have emailed (no response) and called (no response), have been advised order is being delivered on the 27th December - pointless for xmas day.

My first order and whilst we haven’t…
My first order and whilst we haven’t had a chance to try everything, the meat we’ve eaten so far has been excellent. Also, excellent customer service - one item was left out of my order by accident (these things happen) and as soon as I got in touch I was told that the replacement would arrive next day, which it did, with a note and bag of chocolates apologising for the error.

Consummate professionals in communication. Upgraded my vegan Wellington at no extra cost, plus resolved all stress that DHL caused with delivery issues. Presentation of the food looks incredible — we simply can’t wait to sink our teeth into this.

Very unsatisfactory
The courier confirmed delivery with a picture of someone’s property my order had been delivered to but was not mine! After contacting the courier, they claim they had delivered to correct address. Emailed both Durslade’s customer service and the shop with my complaint and asking for help with my missing product and to date still waiting to hear from them. Not at all impressed and would not recommend using this company.
