For the amount of money you are paying, you would expect to get normal photos. Instead I received blurry photos. I can get higher quality photos from my smartphone and print them.

My daughter's graduation photos are so dull and grey. She has emailed several times, including to the customer service email given many times in response to these reviews, yet gets no reply at all.
This company provided graduation photos for one of my other daughters and we were happy with those. But this set look so out of place next to the others due to the appalling greyness.
Alice if you are going to respond to this, please give us a way we can actually get a reply from someone. We have been trying to resolve this for weeks now.

At Aberdeen NEScol graduation I had the misfortune of dealing with this company.
I pre-booked photography on the day, queued for ages and eventually got my turn. The photographer spoke no words to me and quickly posed me. I felt very uncomfortable and stiff in the pose I was given.
They then started taking photos, there was no countdown or anything just silence. I felt deeply uncomfortable and awkward.
This is then reflected in the images I was given, I hate the images. I am extremely awkward in the images.
Customer service - Null.
The customer service first response was basically "we can partially refund and that's it. Sorry no sorry."
I then wrote a large complaint email which again fell on deaf ears with a basic response and fake sorry followed with "either take the refund or select your image as ordered" .
They did mention a sitting fee which basically said I paid £20 to even get my images taken, hence the partial refund.
I find this sitting fee ludicrous and it is just to extort students and family's on such an important day.
You do not get shown the image on the day so you do not know if it is a good photo or not until you get them. Considering you are urged to pre-book photos, you should be shown the images and at least be offered a retake of 2 images.
Or at the very very least be refunded all the money you paid for the photos. None of this sitting fee rubbish.
I absolutely cannot recommend this company and urge you not to pre-book photos. Just don't get any photos.

Bought an overcoat for Christmas 22 months ago. I took the jacket out for this winter having only worn it for one season. The seams had come out of the pockets on both sides and torn down both sides of the pockets. Clearly not a co-incidence. The customer service man said we dont guarentee clothing. Translation, you shouldnt buy our poor quality products as you take the risk for our poor work. They offered to repair it but the damage already done would be unrepairable for it to look good. I ended up just leaving the +£1.0k overcoat there and gave up. Astonishing tbh, another tailor did give me the heads up about Ede and Ravenscroft after I bought the jacket that it would probably fall apart over a couple years. I didnt expect it to be this quick

I had such a positive experience with Ede & Ravenscroft for my graduation. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and well-organised, which really helped to make the whole process smooth and stress-free. On what is usually quite a hectic day, their professionalism and friendliness made everything feel calm and easy. I couldn’t have asked for better service – thank you for helping to make the day so special!

During the event, the staff at Ede & Ravenscroft were incredibly friendly and efficient, which really put me at ease while wearing the gown for such a special day. The person who assisted me ensured the gown fit perfectly, taking the time to make sure everything was just right. Their professionalism and attention to detail made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I’m very happy with their service and would gladly recommend them to future graduates.

I had a very distressing experience at the Ede & Ravenscroft store on Chancery Lane on 2 October 2025. I travelled all the way from Birmingham feeling unwell to buy court attire. After greeting the first consultant, a second consultant began running after me, accusing me of not responding to the greeting. I felt intimidated, harassed, and unsafe. This is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the level of customer service expected from a reputable store.

Updated following help from customer services.
Customer service were very good, liaising with the editing team to rectify what they could.
It’s still a shame the photographers don’t spend time with their clients to make sure the photos look professional.
Hopefully, anyone reading this who will be attending a graduation in the future - make sure the photographer takes their time and try to have someone with you.

Your graduation is a one off special day and you’d hope the company chosen by your University meets professional expectations.
The gown! My hood was attached with Velcro. Men wearing ties are fine as the front of the hood is kept in place by their ties. Females are left with the front section buckling up, or the hood falling off the shoulder.
Maybe that can’t be helped but when you have your photo taken you’d expect the photographer to identify issues and rectify them before taking your photo.
No! I’ve now seen proofs of my photos and I’m so upset by them all.
Option 1: I was instructed to hold the top of the scroll against the front section of the hood to keep it in place. It was a totally unnatural way to hold the scroll and looks forced.
Option 2: The photographer then took some without the scroll but did not adjust the hood first - so my other option is a photo where the front section is buckled and not flat.
Both look unprofessional.
Considering the cost of gown hire, photography session and photographs - I’m angry and disappointed by this company’s lack of quality control.
