Good organisation doing good stuff
This is a good organisation doing good things and am happy to be involved with it. Once it is set up it seems easy to use. Of course there is risk and that is not in any way hidden. They seem good at telling you when things are not going to plan but have (significant) further work to do in explaining what is going on to those of us who do not understand finance

I have been using the Energise Africa…
I have been using the Energise Africa platform for about 4 years investing several thousand pounds in various projects. So far I have never had a missed payment. The platform can be a bit clunky to negotiate at times but as an investment vehicle for interesting green development projects I cannot fault it.

EA are great: Very efficient and insist on the…
Very efficient and insist on the disclosure document being read or at least downloaded.
Once registered the organization is impressive even from the antipodes. The offers are often relatively small so I sometimes miss out as the notification is times for UK investors.
Putting some money into slightly risky investments while probably doing good in a global fashion is easy at EnergiseAfrica.

Four (so far) out of my 15 investments…
Four (so far) out of my 15 investments are no longer meeting their capital and interest payment obligations.
There is no positive news coming from the platform. They ought to be totally transparent and report on how many previous investments are failing to meet their obligations
This is an increasingly risky area of investment, and with domestic inflation rates at 10%, you can invest your capital much more safely than this.
Update as of 11 November 2022. So this week I was informed by Energise Africa that Redavia in which I have bonds in two issues have gone into liquidation. The most recent bond issue was May this year. I have potentially lost £3600 on this I'll fated venture. By the way it seems the physical assets of the companies are squirrelled away in other entities. BEWARE!

We are sorry that you feel we have not communicated with you enough over some of the recent restructuring of debt for some of the solar businesses we have lent to. These negotiations are never easy and it will take some time before we know the full picture, but we are keeping our investors informed as best we can throughout the process and are striving for the best possible outcome for them. We do our best to be as transparent as possible and provide our investors with regular updates on all projects. We communicate as soon as possible when we believe that an offer may not perform as anticipated. We also look to update our investors via their portfolios on any good news and updates from investee organisations as often as possible. We do also publish financial performance of all our Investees (including those that are not performing) and this is maintained on our website on a quarterly basis. You can access this via the Portfolio Overview link in our website footer. We do take your comments on board, however, and will continue to try to improve our communications with investors. Update 15th November 2022: In response to your comments about Redavia and our transparency regarding the physical assets of the companies, we wanted to highlight that the organisational structure of the companies and their operating model are clearly set out in the offer document (pages 7 – 11 in the case of Issue 11 for Redavia).
As mentioned in our previous response, we communicate as soon as possible when we believe that an offer may not perform as anticipated, which is what we have done in the case of Redavia.

More people should be aware of this type of investment, in the UK most of our pension schemes are still investing in fossil fuels and we have to move away from that to renewable energies.
This ethical investment platform does a great job in facilitating solar power to developing countries. The end result of an investment is to displace fossil fuels like kerosene for lighting, reduce CO2 emissions and create a healthier environment for many as using kerosene indoors is not good for the good of those breathing the resulting fumes. As you will see from some of the projects the benefits of solar PV are also now extended to the business sectors and the investments on offer allow users like me to feel like I'm doing some good with my money....something I do not feel if it is languishing in a bank or building society.
