Overall I have given 5 stars due to the speed and professionalism of the service. I thought it was a bit expensive but I have nothing to compare it to and may therefore be unfair in my comment. Good service though with good communication

I brought my car in to have my engine reconditioned after facing major engine faults and the team have been wonderful and diligent throughout the process, keeping me updated and helping to reduce my costs where possible, which I appreciate. They managed my expectations and were able to have my car working in no time.

Faced with the dilemma of scrapping our much-loved and vital car I hunted around for options: no parts companies (Euro Car Parts etc) or Volvo repairers could offer any help, and so I googled recon engines and came across engines4sale.co.uk These brokers offer details of businesses who may offer solutions. Engine Reborn were the quickest to respond, the most comprehensive in detailing their reply, and they followed up my enquiry with WhatsApp messages as well as via email. Deciding to have the engine reconditioned is a huge and daunting step that is also costly, but through Danny's/Mubashar's calm professionalism, assurances, and detailed paperwork I felt I was making the right decision. Throughout the process I have received regular updates and photos, had my questions and various phone calls answered quickly and respectfully, and we now have our lovely car back purring like new. I cannot thank Mubashar - or recommend his business - enough. The whole experience from start to finish has been exceptional, and I'm very grateful to him and his calm expertise that we now have our daily runner back on the drive where it belongs! If you value your car and it has major engine issues why would you consider scrapping it when you have a viable option to contact Engine Reborn Ltd. 100% recommend Danny and his team.

Really happy that we chose to recondition our Skoda rather than scrap it or put in a second hand engine.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t go into this experience with considerable anxiety about whether it was the right thing to do and about the potential expense, but Mubashar (aka Danny) and his mechanics have done a terrific job. I’m currently running it back in so will update this once I’ve done the first five hundred or so miles but so far it is running very smoothly.
I would totally recommend Engine Reborn, they have been very thorough and quick and their communication throughout has been excellent.
We went in to this thinking we would pay for the initial assessment and then figure out if we wanted to pay to go on or to cut our losses. We went ahead and have come out with a reconditioned and clean engine with quite a few new parts and the car going great. We ended up paying the equivalent cost of buying and fitting a second hand engine with 60k+ miles on the clock only a 2 month warranty and no real knowledge of its history or condition beyond a visual check; so, I’m confident we have taken the right route for us.

Read the small print, work out your costings and talk it all through with Mubashar, knowing the different stages, timings and possible price escalators and if you feel it is right for you then go for it: the service you will get will be excellent.

Incidentally, I know next to nothing about cars but local mechanics and petrolhead friends all reckoned this has been a very good service from start to finish as well as the best option for us as our car was otherwise in good condition and we didn’t want to get rid of it.

An all in all very professional experience, my van had its engine rebuilt and I was kept updated constantly with pictures and videos on how the work was going and any changes that needed to be made with the engine. Everything is running very smoothly now and I am happy with the result. Would definitely recommend.

Have had my cars with them a few times & always had quick service. Price is always reasonable in comparison to other mechanics but quality is always high! Would recommend.

# In addition to my original review, this scam garage has now been reported to and is being investigated by the National Fraud squad. Still refusing to provide receipts for £3765 worth of parts they have allegedly installed and refusing to return my vehicle and threatening to sell it.

Had my car delivered to Dagenham on 14/03/2024, only collecting it tomorrow, 25/04/2024, told it would be a 14 day max turnaround.Totally expecting to breakdown on the way home tomorrow. I used the EngineTrust.co.uk app to allow garages to bid for the work. Danny seemed the most reasonable at £3495. The final price is £8200, and the worst bit is he’s now refusing to provide invoices for the £4K+ parts “I had to have”, clearly using secondhand parts. I have now engaged a solicitor and have made a report to trading standards. YOU WOULD BE MAD TO USE THIS CONMAN!!!

Great customer service and guys rebuild engine so quickly for good price

Ridiculous service and a great business to scam with all the parts and material - but no proof of purchase or invoice. Non-VAT business but charging VAT

I would recommend Danny’s services if you need an engine replaced. I unfortunately bought a 2nd hand focus where the engine cylinders were shot and it needed a full top up of oil even after short runs and emitted clouds of black smoke. I had already spent a lot of money trying to resolve the issues and was faced with having to write off over £2000 if I scrapped the car but it was otherwise in very good condition. If you don’t use Danny’s services then you either take a huge risk installing an engine from a breakers yard or pay several thousand pounds for a remanufactured engine - I wasn’t keen on this as had spent a lot already replacing ancillaries like coil packs etc. Danny also replaced the clutch just for the cost of the parts. He also gave me a good deal on other ancillary issues that came to light. Just bear in mind that where parts are too damaged to be reconditioned you will be liable for those parts on top of the core fee. Danny did inclusive diagnostics and was very responsive. I feel like I now have a car that should last several years and the 6 month warranty is good for peace of mind.

Fairly good company. Had hydro locked my engine and these guys did worked a miracle. Of course it cost me more than the initial quote, however almost 75% of the engine needed brand new parts. It took longer as well, as some parts, needed to be imported from Germany. Overall, my car is running now. Hopefully it will stay this way.

Engine on my VW T5 in a bad way, so decided on a rebuild with Engine Reborn Ltd after reading their reviews.

Unfortunately once engine was out and stripped down, it became clear damage was extensive and would require a lot of new parts.

They gave me the costings for new block liners, cylinder head, conrods,oil pump, turbo and EGR. I decide to go ahead as only alternative was brand new engine.

Work was carried out swiftly, with photos and videos being sent to me by Whatsapp to keep me updated. Labour charges for all the extra work were very fair.

Done around 1000 miles now and engine seems to be running great. Hopefully will turn out to be as good as a new one.

Had my Semi Auto Van Engine Reconditioned and overhauled, it runs like new, an excellent job, Danny and his staff were brilliant and went over and beyond to get the job done efficiently and quickly, the Van runs like a dream now

Can’t thank dan enough for getting my engine back running after I drove through a flood , completed ruined the engine , dan got it picked up and taken to his work place and Dan assured me he could get it sorted as it was his bread and butter and all his ever done is fix engines ,and I must say what a great job his done , spoke to me often and sent videos and pics of the engine and what was wrong with it , very polite and so helpful the engine sounds brand new I couldn’t be happier
