If I could zero stars

If I could zero stars, I would. I received a letter for payment from EOS fitness onMay 15, 2026. I have been trying to cancel my deceased mothers account since her death in 2017. I was unable to cancel becuase I couldn'r remember the phone number associated with our account. in 2020, I was able to stop my account by having my bank stop all future paymentsbut because her account was in her name out of my account, I could not cancel it. After multiple phone calls with the Manager at EOS on Russell and Pecos, Dom, he said they would reimburse me $497.00 when in fact they owe me 10 yrs X $30/month which comes to $3,600. No only have I not gotten the check for $497.00 but now he is refusing to speak with me on the phone. I have attempted to reach out to the corporate office, to no avail so I've no choice and have contacted an Attorney to work on my behave. I will never go to any of their fitness clubs and will let everyone I know what has happened. I am a recovering from Breast Cancer and don't need this kind of madness in my life. No one will connect me with anyone in the corporate office so I'm telling my story here.

⭐ 1/5

⭐ 1/5 – WARNING! THINK 10 TIMES BEFORE JOINING EōS FITNESS!

Signing up is easy, but getting out feels almost impossible!

I personally went to EōS Fitness and canceled my membership. They told me I would still have to pay for one additional month after cancellation. Although I wasn’t happy about it, I accepted this condition, and that final payment was collected.

I thought I was finally done with EōS Fitness and would never have to deal with them again.

BUT I WAS WRONG!

This month, EōS Fitness withdrew another $97.40 directly from my bank account through ACH, even after my membership had been canceled and the additional month’s payment had already been collected!

Today, I called their customer service number to resolve this issue. Instead of reaching a real person, I was connected to an AI assistant named Ella. It repeatedly told me it would transfer me to a customer service representative, but the transfer never worked. I couldn’t even speak to a real person about money being taken from my account!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS!

When you sign up for EōS Fitness, you authorize ACH withdrawals from your bank account. Based on my experience, that authorization feels like giving them unlimited access to your money. Even after canceling your membership and paying the required final month, you may still find unexpected withdrawals from your account.

How are customers supposed to stop these charges when they can’t even reach a real customer service representative?

I feel completely trapped by this company’s billing practices. I canceled my membership, paid what they told me I owed, and yet they are still taking money from my account.

MY WARNING TO EVERYONE: THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE JOINING EōS FITNESS!

You may be able to sign up in minutes, but getting them to stop charging your bank account can turn into a nightmare.

I deeply regret ever giving this company authorization to withdraw money directly from my bank account.

EōS Fitness needs to stop charging my account, refund my $97.40, and provide written confirmation that no further payments will be collected.

Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone.

STAY AWAY FROM EōS FITNESS IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PEACE OF MIND!

**Told an account was canceled—then billed for two more years.**

**Told an account was canceled—then billed for two more years.**

EOS offers good equipment at an attractive price, but my experience with billing, cancellation was frustrating.

I had been paying for both my membership and my former wife’s. A few months after our divorce, I went to EOS in person to make sure my credit card was no longer linked to her account. She was no longer using the gym, and staff assured me her account had already been canceled. I assumed she had taken care of it.

About two years later, while reviewing my bank transactions, I discovered I was still being charged for both memberships.

When I returned to the gym, staff explained that they might have given me incorrect information: her *guest account* had been closed, but her actual membership had remained active. Despite acknowledging that possibility, they declined to refund the charges unless I could prove the earlier conversation.

What proof was I supposed to have? I had gone to the gym specifically to address the account and relied on the answer their staff gave me. The fact that she hadn’t checked in for approximately two years didn’t change their response.

They also couldn’t complete the cancellation at the desk. I was directed to a website to locate the agreement and go through additional steps. Then I was told there would be “one more” charge because the required notice hadn’t been given.

My next issue is paying for amenities I can’t access without staff assistance.

I recently switched to the new San Tan Valley location because it’s much closer to home. It’s a nice gym with plenty of equipment, but it uses a digital NFC tag instead of the standard barcode for entry and access to certain amenities. My tag doesn’t work.

Staff told me to update the app, then delete and reinstall it. I’ve done that several times without success. They eventually took my name and said IT would address the problem.

Meanwhile, I need staff to check me into the gym manually. I also can’t independently access the recovery and massage areas included in my membership because those require a working tag. Staff say I can ask them to scan me in, but having to find someone every time is not a practical long-term solution.

Initially, staff told me approximately 2,500 members had the same issue and that I needed to wait. When I followed up, that number had grown to 4,000. Why should I care? I’m still paying for amenities I can’t access on my own.

Finally, there’s the lack of follow-through when equipment features stop working.

At the Ellsworth/Riggs location in Queen Creek, Arizona, the Life Fitness treadmills and stair climbers have an Apple Watch connection feature stated right on the equipment: “Connect your Apple Watch.” I like this feature because it keeps my watch and the machine from reporting completely different workout numbers.

Eventually, it stopped working on all but one of the treadmills. I reported it to staff, but nothing came of it. They seemed unfamiliar with what I was describing, even though it still worked on one treadmill and all the stair climbers. I don’t know what the repair required, but I expected someone to take the issue seriously and follow up.

I previously belonged to Lifetime Fitness, and EOS is significantly cheaper. I also prefer having more space devoted to workout equipment rather than pickleball courts, basketball courts, and cafés. The facilities themselves offer a lot for the price.

But good equipment and convenient locations don’t make up for poor handling of billing disputes or unresolved access problems. I still use EOS because it’s close to home, but based on my experience, whenever there's another convenient option, they will definitely lose me as a customer.

I didnt pay the downgrade fee bc I knew it was ridiculous and when they attempted to "help" me not pay the fee, they created a new membership for me and expected me to pay the annual fee again and enrollment fee again. total scammers

The staff were INCREDIBLY rude over the…

The staff were INCREDIBLY rude over the phone. I called on 10/16 at 8:22pm. If I could give zero stars, I would. The gym has a tiered structure that allows you access different amenities. On the website, it explicitly outlines amenities by tier. The issue is that when you use insurance to sign up, they assign you a tier that is not listed. I called to ask a very simple question: which tier (do, crush, or power) does my membership correlate to? The young lady was simultaneously incompetent and arrogant. I wanted to better understand what I could do in the gym and she jumped right into trying to get me to upgrade my membership. I asked the same question at least four times and she refused to admit that she did not know. She told me that my membership was the equivalent of the second tier but then proceeded to tell me that I would have to upgrade to access amenities like the swimming pool.

The problem is that the website lists the second tier as Crush and the swimming pool is included with that tier. When I asked her to clarify that by serving tier she meant Crush, she just stopped responding and held the phone. I know that she held it because I heard murmuring in the background. I called back and asked not to be transferred back to her and tried to explain that I had a simple question. The man who answered didn’t even let me finish my sentence. I just heard a click, the hold music, and then her voice again. She said the call dropped but it did not. I began to ask to speak to someone who would answer my question but she began to speak over me. She was still trying to get me to upgrade.

It’s incredibly frustrating because this call was not to request access to more amenities. I just wanted to know what areas of the gym I currently have access to. I shouldn’t have to physically walk into a location to get an answer and decent customer service. After two calls, I STILL DON’T KNOW which tier I’m on.

I’m sure they have young staff and that’s wonderful but phone etiquette is a critical skill and antagonizing someone into upgrading is a terrible sales strategy. Simple phrases like “one moment while I transfer your call” and “please hold while I look into this” are not optional. This interaction felt terrible and made it clear that they clearly do not care about their members if this is how were spoken and treated just for seeking clarity about a very confusing explanation.

Advice: train the staff on customer service and make sure your sales team members know your tiers before letting them take calls to answer questions. If you don’t already, audit your calls often because they were very brazenly rude. If I were looking to sign up, today’s experience would’ve immediately stopped me and I definitely will not be referring anyone here.

Sugar Land Operations manager

I had a very unpleasant and unacceptable experience with the Operations Manager at the EōS Fitness location in Sugar Land, Texas.

During my workout, I borrowed a step platform from an unoccupied room to use for approximately five minutes. No one was using it, I wasn’t interfering with anyone else’s workout, and I wasn’t disrupting any gym operations.

What bothered me most wasn’t being told I couldn’t use the equipment—it was the Operations Manager’s unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive behavior. Instead of approaching me respectfully and speaking to me, she chose to poke and physically push me to get my attention.

As an Operations Manager, shouldn’t she be setting an example of professionalism and respectful communication? Wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to wait until I finished my exercise and simply TALK to me?

And more importantly, if members aren’t allowed to borrow equipment from an unused room, why not provide enough step platforms on the gym floor for everyone to use?

I understand that gyms have rules, and I have no problem following them. However, there is absolutely no justification for an employee, especially someone in a management position, to put their hands on a member simply to get their attention.

I expect better treatment, professionalism, and respect from the management team at EōS Fitness.

They lie about cancellations so they can keep charging you. EOS FITNESS!!

I visited your establishment on August 17 and asked an employee to cancel the service; I provided my phone number and asked if the cancellation had been processed, and he confirmed that it had. To my surprise, on September 24, debits were made—including from an account with a zero balance—resulting in two $34 bank fees plus your annual fee, totaling $248. I returned to the location, and the employee, Jhonatan, lied by claiming he would resolve the issue, call me back, and issue a refund, but none of that happened. Your service is terrible, and my lawyer will be in touch.

EOSFitness cleaning policy

Been a member since EOS took over this gym location in 2017, lot's of turnover both staff and members. That's a gym. Mostly quite satisfied but last Monday I was working out in an open area and a cleaning crew guy told me to move out of the area so he could clean. Maybe this is a new policy. Paying members get out of the way of cleaning folks (this is a subcontractor, not EOS staff). OR maybe cleaning folks should be instructed to wait/find another area to clean when a member is using space. If it's the former please post signs to "GET OUT OF THE WAY OF CLEANERS" or if the latter, instruct cleaners as needed. Mgr and front desk staff are great, this is not on them. :)

First experience very confusing

I recently visited EOS Fitness to inquire about membership options and was initially pleased with the employee’s information about the family plan. However, the final experience ended up being quite disappointing. The terms turned out to be different than what we had discussed, and I was unexpectedly charged three times. I hope they can improve their clarity and billing process so other customers don’t face the same issue. Now hoping they honor the following month for free on my 2 addons like they promised.

Canceling a membership at EōS Fitness…

Canceling my membership at EōS Fitness Lutz Harpers Run/Ballentrae has been unnecessarily frustrating, and the lack of communication from the general manager has made it worse.

Before successfully canceling online, I tried contacting the club by phone and email. My written requests went unanswered, and I was told by phone that I had to come in personally to cancel, despite written procedures allowing cancellation by email.

When my cancellation was finally processed, I paid $91.78, including a $64.19 annual membership fee, monthly dues, and a processing fee. I requested a review of those charges and explained my medical circumstances, and that being charged an annual membership for the following year made no sense.

To its credit, ABC Fitness Solutions (parent) customer care responded promptly, reviewed my concerns, waived the annual fee, and confirmed a $64.19 credit on my membership account. However, ABC explained that the club had collected the payment directly and would need to issue the actual refund to my card.

That put the matter back in the hands of the same general manager who had been copied on my original correspondence and had not responded. An account credit on a canceled membership does me no good. The money needs to be returned to the card that was charged.

As of this review, the $64.19 refund remains unresolved, and I have received no response from the general manager. I am requesting only the annual fee that ABC already agreed to waive.

Members should not have to chase management repeatedly or consider a credit card dispute to obtain an acknowledged refund. Customer service includes how you treat people when they leave, and this location has fallen well short.

Cancelation policy its unfair

Since I started my membership, I have never even set foot in the gym because I injured my knee and was unable to use the facility.

I called to request that my membership be canceled and asked for a refund, considering I have never used the gym. Not only was my refund request denied, but I was also told I would be charged for another month after requesting cancellation.

This is extremely disappointing and feels completely unfair. I understand that businesses have policies, but there should be some consideration for customers who are unable to use a service due to a medical issue—especially when they have never used the facility in the first place.

I will not be a member of this gym again. If you ever find yourself in a situation where a medical issue prevents you from using your membership and you need to cancel, make sure you understand their cancellation and billing policies very carefully.

Very disappointing customer service and an experience I will not forget.

1/5 — Pushy personal-training sales, “fitness-splaining,” and a cancellation that wasn't actually processed

I recently joined the EōS Fitness on E Guadalupe Rd/Rural Rd in Tempe. I actually liked the gym itself and its equipment selection, but my experience with the membership process and staff interactions created so much unnecessary frustration and ill will that I have now requested cancellation of all my EōS memberships and decided I would rather find another gym.

One of my biggest issues was my repeated interactions with Kiani regarding the fitness/personal-training program. I clearly said that I wasn't interested, but instead of simply accepting “no,” I felt repeatedly questioned and pressured about my decision.

He asked me things like “How will you reach your goals?” as though I couldn't successfully work toward my fitness goals without enrolling in their program. This was particularly irritating because I had already successfully lost about 10 lb on my own.

I explained that I normally exercise 5–6 days per week, doing approximately 10 minutes of cardio and 30–40 minutes of strength training. I was then told that this wasn't enough and that I should instead be doing around 30 minutes of cardio plus an hour of strength training.

My doctors and nutrition professionals have been supportive of the routine I've been following, and consistency rather than excessive intensity has been what actually helped me make progress. I wasn't asking for my workout routine to be critiqued. I was simply saying that I did not want to purchase a fitness/personal-training program.

Offering the program once is perfectly reasonable. What I found inappropriate was repeatedly questioning why I didn't want it, questioning how I would reach my goals, and “fitness-splaining” to me why my existing routine supposedly wasn't enough after I had already declined. “No, thank you” should have been enough.

Unfortunately, the membership issue that followed made the experience considerably worse.

I initially signed up online for Will Crush and shortly afterward decided that Will Power better suited what I wanted. I contacted EōS and then went to this location in person on September 3 specifically to cancel Will Crush and sign up for Will Power.

Kiani handled this and told me that Will Crush had been cancelled and that everything was “all set.” I left believing that the old membership was cancelled.

My app continued showing Will Crush, however, so I followed up. The next day, Olivia actually checked my account and told me that Will Crush was still active and had NOT been cancelled. She then submitted another cancellation request to management and told me that it was expected to be processed by September 9 or 10. My September 4 written correspondence documents that I had been told the membership was cancelled in person and subsequently learned that it remained active. I find it shady that they never send out confirmations for cancellations as per Olivia and seems like a deceptive practice to not be able to prove a cancellation.

What I find unacceptable is going to the gym specifically to cancel a membership, being told that it was cancelled and everything was taken care of, and then discovering afterward that the membership was still active.

This was also happening while I was within the cancellation/rescission period stated in my membership agreement. The agreement itself says that a member may cancel before midnight of the third operating day after receiving the agreement and is entitled to a full refund when cancellation occurs within that period.

Instead of a simple membership change, I have had to repeatedly follow up, submit online inquiries, call, return in person, send written cancellation notices and create my own documentation because I don't want to discover later that I'm being charged for memberships I requested cancelled.

At that point, the accumulated experience changed my opinion of the gym entirely. The repeated pressure and unsolicited “fitness-splaining” had already created considerable ill will, and discovering that a membership I was explicitly told had been cancelled was actually still active was the final straw.

I have now requested cancellation of all my EōS memberships. It's unfortunate because I genuinely liked the equipment, but I would rather find another gym than deal with a membership experience where saying “no” to an additional paid program isn't simply respected and where I have to repeatedly follow up to make sure a cancellation I was told was completed actually happened.

I canceled my personal training…

I canceled my personal training agreement approximately three months ago. I have repeatedly complained and instructed EOS to stop billing me. Nevertheless, they continue charging my Chase card $156 every two weeks and today (9/2/2026) you submitted 3x $156 charge totaling $468 . Today (9/4/2026) I received another charge of $156. I do not authorize these charges. I also demand formally immediate cancellation of my EOS fitness personal training agreement and a full refund of all personal training charges taken through my Chase credit card after I cancelled the service 3 month ago. Since that time I have repeatedly contacted the North Richland Hills EOS location and complained about the continued billing despite my repeated request that the charges stop but EOS/ABC fitness continues to charge my credit card $156 every two weeks. Today the situation escalated further. Three separate $156 charges were submitted to my Chase card on the same day totaling $468. Another $156 charge again on 9/4/26. I did not authorize these post- cancellation charges and I'm no longer receiving the personal training services for which EOS continues to bill me. Their own current personal training information states that a personal training program can be canceled with the 30 days notice. After the contractual term I provided notice approximately three months ago but billing has continued. I called the 888 8279262 multiple times with no answer to my questions. My chase bank sent a letter to EOS fitness to stop charging my account yet theypersist.

EOS Fitness it’s all about meeting quotas and ripping you off

EOS Fitness has poor online reputation. Google, Trustpilot, and the BBB are flooded with scathing reviews about their predatory, unethical, downright hostile customer service & billing practices. My experience is yet another example of their blatant disregard for decency: me and my wife were slapped with a bogus enrollment fee when we downgraded our memberships this is a transparent scam to pad their quotas. My contract makes no mention of these fabricated fees, and the email I received was worded like I was a new member. This is deception, plain and simple. Legally, all fees must be explicitly spelled out in the contract, but EOS chooses to operate in the shadows, relying on misinformation & intimidation. We go to the EOS Gym at 22314 FM 529 in Cypress, TX began 2/26/25, it’s clear they thrive on squeezing every dollar from members through whatever underhanded tactic they can get away with. Their General Manager of Sales, Jerimiah, couldn’t even be bothered to address my wife’s first attempt to downgrade he dismissed her outright, hiding behind an excuse about testing an employee asking her to come back another day. When she returned on 8/31/26, to downgrade, she was told a $49 downgrade fee would be applied ($53.04 with tax), which isn't in our contract. When asked for clarification, he replied, “That’s the way we do it here.” This is predatory, unapologetic, is infuriating. Jerimiah didn’t even know what card was on file. This gym treats its members like prey, not customers. Later that day I noticed a charge on my credit card ending in 0381 for my wife’s downgrade. This is outright incompetence or worse, deliberate fraud, since she pays for both memberships with her card. How can he charge my card without authorization. This circus of errors & deceit is what EOS represents. Their reputation for shady, dishonest practices is well-earned. Anyone considering this gym should be warned: EOS will do whatever it takes to extract more money from you, no matter how unethical.

Nathan Wilson - HORRIBLE manager

This was our first time at EōS Fitness, and unfortunately, it will also be our last.

We came specifically to support my husband while he competed in a bench-pressing competition. We had been in the facility for nearly an hour when the manager, Nathan Wilson, approached us while we were standing and told us to move. We complied. He told us to move again—we complied. He asked us to move a third time—we complied again.

Apparently, that still wasn’t good enough. That is when we were suddenly told that children under 14 were not allowed in the gym. This rule somehow became an issue only after we had already been there for nearly an hour and had complied with three separate requests to move.

After telling us about the age restriction, Nathan repeatedly emphasized that he was the manager, that he had the authority, and that we needed to comply or we would be removed from the gym. The interaction became unnecessarily confrontational when we had done nothing but comply with his requests.

The most disappointing part is that my children missed the opportunity to watch their father compete. That was the entire reason we were there, and that experience cannot be recreated or given back to them.

We will not be returning, recommending this location, or patronizing EōS Fitness in the future. An apology after the fact doesn’t give my boys back the experience they missed with their father.
