Always did my tax on my own. This year was different as I had to deal with investments and CGT. Made an account, submitted all information and waited for responses. Easy to understand messages and to the point with what information was missing, incorrect, and needing slight correction. Provided the proper documents and responses to their questions and was submitted a few days later after signing up. Amazing. They even worked through the night. In the end my return increased by like 300-400$.

etax have assisted me with my tax for many years now, they make tax time easier, provide sound advice and try to claim the best possible tax return for you. I have and will continue to recommend them.

Being unemployed my tax returns are simple. Etax has everything set up to streamline everything. If you have any inquiries, tax agen /accountant will review all the information and ask you questions if they need more information. Once you account is set up you can do taxes ready for another year even one I forgot about and tey let me know it wasn't completed. Thanks

Patient and wonderful to talk to. If you’re doing taxes for the first time or you’ve done it before, a good choice to go with.

It is so quick and easy and I know it will be checked over by an account so if there is anything I have missed they will let me know. I have only one wage and don't have any expenses really. Took maybe 10 minutes.

So good and easy to lodge with Etax The ATO themselves would not let me lodge beacause I didn’t have any Australian ID since I only lived and worked in Australia for 5 months but Etax helped me and got it all lodged and sorted very quickly. Great team.

Absolutely the worst experience i have ever had .
I have been using etax for years , now all of a sudden i have to pay upfront for information they already have.
Just another scam from the government...

I used etax to do this year's return which was a breeze. So I thought I'd try them to clear my one that I've been putting off since 2015 and the support online was unbelievably helpful and super fast. Such a relief getting that off my back.

Long-time customer, but very disappointed with the complete breakdown in process and accountability this year.

Following a temporary employer error on my ATO Income Statement, eTax lodged an updated return containing errors without sending the usual email requesting my final approval. When I called to ask why my email consent was bypassed, I waited 30 minutes for a supervisor who never came to the line.

Frontline support simply claimed they had to lodge it to hit their own deadlines, refusing to acknowledge that a quick final check with the client would have prevented the mistake.

I used their service because it had worked for the past 14 years, but this year's experience has completely undermined my trust.

Tax is a nightmare for me, though, these guys make it a breeze !!

My experience is great always with professionalism and expertise advice. I have been doing my yearly return through Etax for many years now and I certainly recommend them highly.

I have used Etax in the past and have always found them to be very helpful and quick to respond. That response includes assisting you whilst you're completing your return. It is reassuring to know my tax return is reviewed by accountants prior to lodging with the tax office.

I.throught I was getting a return but a sum was taken from my bank account I feel.you ripped me off .

This was a terrible experience. Etax had to have a couple of goes to a fairly standard return correct.
During first attempt, they displayed an estimated return of about $2,100. Required payment before lodging - which I paid. As soon as I paid, the amount changed to a payable of $167 as they added my living away from home allowance to my taxable income.
When I questioned this, communication stopped for several days.
When re-worked they displayed and of about $5000 return. Now lodge, the estimate is $2700.
This whole process with Etax has seemed dishonest and not very transparent. I will be going else next year.

After initial review above, Etax did reach directly by phone an acknowledged an apologised for their shortcomings this time around. They offered to lodge an amendment for, an in the end achieved a much better result for.

A company that cares and goes out their way to put things right, is a good one in my opinion.

I was happy with the tax refund that etax had given me as an approximate amount, but after it was reviewed they've let me know that refund is going to be more than first calculated.
Definitely glad I used the program and would highly recommend.

My Initial tax return estimate for 2025-2026 financial year, less than $600AUD...., then they send me a polite email request to reply to 3 questions which is then followed by another recheck/review process....final estimate is now just short of $1800AUD. Time elapsed between email requests and reply,less than 30 minutes...on a Sunday no less. It took me longer to fill in my details, and they also have the previous years response to help you proceed without you having to second guess yourself at times. Honestly, I used to feel spoiled using ETax,but seriously it's the same amazing level of dedicated service I've received from them since 2015..ish. I may not be sure of some things(such as when I initially accepted their help tax return wise)but the low cost outlay combined with the carefully reviewed refunds that continually exceed my expectations, as has been the case for over a decade seems akin to a fairy tale,complete with standard background: fill in the details, don't get my hopes up, then receiveda response asking to reply to a question or two, maybe clarify a detail, then looking dumbfounded at a screen with a refund result that has increased by a more remarkable margin than I'd believe possible against original estimates. Their check and review process absolutely staggers me year after year but I will attest that the consistency, for me at least, is a testament to how well you can be looked after if you're willing to let them try to help you as they have done for me for over a decade.
I hope I'm not the exception, because the peace of mind I have during this period is something we all should want for everyone we know. It may come across to some as overly dramatic hyperbole, but they've never done me wrong, and in more than one scenario, the outlay was less than 5% of the final double checked and reviewed REVISED estimate, rather than the near 25% of the initial return I was expecting. As a single father of 5 I will just say it was the best ad I have ever answered, and I sincerely believe I'm not alone in this.
You don't have to take my word for it, you probably know someone whose carried on like this. Some things require a level of training and understanding that I lack, as well as the time to implement and utilise those skills, but in the tax return aspect, I'm glad to have ETax in my corner.
For me ETax is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quality Service, every time, year after year, that I hope others will try, or for those as lucky as me, continually return to for yet another undeniably consistent and fantastic outcome, that in some ways can still feel like a dream come true...Thank you ETax
