Easy buying ethical investments
Downloading the Offer Document and buying the bonds was really easy. I trust Ethex to do due diligence so the offer is not a scam. Ethex gives access to investments that are not available anywhere else and are really ethical and sustainable. But investments are risky and not easily cashed in so don't invest money you can't afford to lose.

Ethex offers some great opportunities to help other people who are not as fortunate as some of us. All of the opportunities are genuine and your money is safe and put to good use. However, like all types of investment, do not invest if you cannot afford to lose the money.

Beware, your money really is at substantial risk
The platform works well but I wonder what level of vetting, if any, takes place before an offer is launched? Of the three investments I have made, two have resulted in a total loss in less than 3 years. I can't complain as it's made very clear that there is no protection but for me it's proved a very easy way of flushing money down the pan and without really helping any of the causes I believe in. In future, I'll just make a donation to those causes and invest my money in the regulated market.

We’ve tried to ask you for some more information so we can identify your investment account with us and respond based on this, but we haven’t received a response from you, so we can’t confirm your investor identity.
We wanted to address the point you have made about our due diligence process. We can assure you that we take this process very seriously, and while it is inevitable that some of the businesses we list will not survive, we make every effort to review businesses listed on the platform for financial security to minimise the risk to our investors.
As you point out, we make the risks very clear along with the impact being created from investments in the offers.
We are pleased that most organisations listed on the Ethex platform are delivering financial returns and impact, combating climate change, building fairer societies, and strengthening communities.
To date, out of 159 individual offers on the Ethex platform, 155 are still trading, that’s 97.5% of our total offers since 2013. While this demonstrates a low failure rate, we do take every default extremely seriously, and we’re continually working to improve our due diligence process to reduce the risk for investors.
