It was my first time foraging so I was not sure what to expect. Joseph was very knowledgeable and made our walk in the forest and field very interesting, sharing insights, stories and ideas. I learnt a lot and now want to do more. I would highly recommend him.

A fantastic afternoon foraging for brewing ingredients, with a short workshop on how to collect and cultivate wild yeasts. Joseph's knowledge and enthusiasm made this an enjoyable, interesting and educational session, and I'll definitely be keeping an eye open for future events.

Great to have recommended reading to follow up. Always difficult to remember things when walking about. The handout was very useful for getting started on a wild fermentation and I will try some, though my ginger ale required a top up of brewers yeast. Maybe shop bought ginger is a bit lacking in yeast....

Joseph is so inspiring with his infectious enthusiasm, can-do, just have-a-go, attitude, brilliantly engaging and fascinating the amount of knowledge that seamlessly flows in language understandable to all.
We've been on others and will certainly be booking more walks with him.

I loved my foraging walk with Joseph. I only wish I'd taken a notebook with me so I could remember it all! I learned so much from him and found all of the plant folklore and science so fascinating. He's a great guide and his passion for plants is infectious. I would highly recommend going on one of his walks.

We had the most wonderful and informative hour with Joseph on my birthday. Who knew stinging nettles tasted so nice! We learned loads and Joseph was a very knowledgeable host. Thoroughly recommended.

My son daughter and I went on a foraging walk with the lovely Joseph. He was friendly and informative - well prepared with first aid bag and safely info. We walked to Castlehaven and Puckaster Cove and learnt so much about foraging. Even trying some stinging nettles! Would certainly recommend.

Joseph went out of his way to help us in the lead-up to the event, accommodating our plans and liaising with other local businesses/facilities and working on contingencies with us. On the day itself, he was excellent, clear, friendly, and did a great job of keeping the whole group engaged. You can tell he has a passion!

We did the beginner-level foraging experience and it was genuinely excellent. It’s a great day out whether you’re interested in nature, food, or simply learning something new.

Joseph explained what is safe to eat, what to avoid and the dangers, and how to prepare what you find, with plenty of interesting tips and insights along the way. He even cooked for us at the end with things we had foraged.
It struck a really good balance between being informative, practical, and fun, and worked perfectly for a mixed group on a stag weekend.

I have gone to two foraging walks with Joseph, he is a real well of knowledge and it has been wonderful to learn about the fungi, plants and seaweed available to us. I would highly recommend anyone interested in getting started in foraging to join one of these walks!
