The worst company I have ever rented from. Firstly they failed to communicate with me that my move in date had been pushed back. They lied to me and pretended I could move in 'the next day' after they finally picked up the phone, only for this to be rebuked to a further weeks delay. THEN! On my move in date they failed to leave a front door key to the property!!!
It was a Friday and no-one was able to help me. Their maintenance team were rude. Their staff team within the office received my emails just before closing and then ignored my calls for help. There were several members of the team who were particularly rude and dismissed my compensation claims. To name them: Shaun (who ignored my call back requests despite stating you can book these on his email), Tom Perry and Melanie Murchie. Melanie pretended to do an investigation and they just dismissed my request for compensation due to their negligence. Surely a tenant needs a key to move into the property? They ignored the majority of my emails which outlined their lack of attention and basic manners and have taken minimal accountability for their wrong doings. Rude staff members, lack of accountability and awful attitudes

This is one of the most fraudulent businesses I recently had the misfortune of dealing with. I paid a holding deposit for an apartment and did not receive any response from them for almost a week until I reached out myself. Since then, they have continuously provided excuses and have not given me the apartment as promised.
I emphasized the urgency of securing an apartment soon, as my contract in my current place is expiring. Despite this, no action has been taken. Their excuses range from issues with their website to making simple mistakes like inputting the wrong email address.
One of their employees, 'Name Redacted,' is particularly unreliable. Despite promises to follow up, no action is ever taken after our calls.

Please be cautious and avoid doing business with them.

We do not recommend this agency, for 5 weeks we have been waiting for them to solve problems that we found on the first day we moved into the current house. When you call the agency, they pass you from one colleague to another and no one does anything. No it is a serious agency.

I am a landlord, and I would like to inform potential clients about my extremely negative experience with ForTheLandlords.com, an agency that fails spectacularly across multiple aspects in managing my property. Here are the critical points where they let me down:

Poor Communication: Their communication is consistently inadequate. Responses are delayed—if they arrive at all—and lack any clarity, often leaving me with more questions than answers.

Unjustified Charges: The agency has a knack for finding any excuse to charge extra fees, often for unnecessary services. This became apparent as I consistently received less rental income than expected, with some deductions for services I didn’t needed.

Cleaning Service: After experiencing their unacceptable cleaning standards, I decided to cancel this service. However, the agency continued to charge me for these non-existent cleanings for 2 months, showcasing a lack of organization and integrity.

Inability to find a tenant: They were unable to find a tenant for my room for over two months, which I later discovered was due to them showing the property in an unclean and uninviting state.

Instead of admitting to the poor presentation and finding a professional cleaning service, they misled me by blaming it on a low rental market. Their dishonesty not only hampered my income but also wasted my time.

In conclusion, ForTheLandlords.com has demonstrated a consistent pattern of poor service, misleading conduct, and questionable charges. I strongly advise against using their services if you value your property and your peace of mind.

Unfortunately there is no 0 star rating on here, stay away from these con artists, they have managed my HMO property for almost 12 months, number of issues during they management period, 0 property visits, not responding to landlord or tenant queries or concerns, constantly missing rent payment despite tenants confirmed they paid, simply shocking service or should I say no service.., they just collect management fee for nothing.
End up terminating they service and file complaint to ombudsman.

I’m finally moving to my new house, Im so happy about the process and really good communication with landlords. When I had any questions I have message back straight away from my landlord David Macey 👌🏻. He sorted for me everything from day one🙏🏻

Absolute worst letting agency I’ve ever used. Impossible to get hold of. Multiple times people just entered my flat without given me the prior 24hrs notice (were not entering for emergency repairs). Stated the rent was going up, I emailed back agreeing to the new rent , almost 2 months later they got back to me stating the rent was now going up almost triple the agreed amount. Multiple times when I eventually got in contact with them they rude and unhelpful.

Can honestly say this is the worst company to rent from , communication well there is none ,constantly getting pulled from pillar to post ,tried to get a reference to rent elsewhere several emails and phones calls was all ignored they don't care about the tenants as long as the money keeps rolling in.
There is 1 person who is helpful and would do anything to help and would go out is way to help

Forthelandlords.com and fortherenters.com SAME AGENCY. The worst possible agency you could get involved with. They'd chase you till you rent from them and then ghost you like your worst nightmare of a boyfriend.
They did not even do the basic repairs to the property before we moved in. Extremely poor client handling and internal communication. They will bounce your issues like a ball from one person to another but never get back to you. Do not recommend AT ALL

This is the "MOST WORSIEST" agency in the world. I have been receiving inhumane treatment from them since I rented an apartment in Rotherham. They will not listen to your complains and treat you as a nonexistent being. Avoid them by all means

Was advised on multiple occasions that the property allowed students. I have part time job on the side as well as being a student. After a 3 and a half week wait to hear back in which they suggested they were completing checks, they email and say the landlord has rejected the application as I allegedly do not have a part time job. Ridiculous to make me wait so long only to be rejected, leaving me with 1 week to find another place to live. Furthermore, upon requesting the holding fee back I have been ignored on multiple occasions and have still not received the refund. Luckily I have found a better place so it has worked out as a blessing in disguise, as I would not trust this company. DO NOT waste your time.

My experience with this letting agency was nothing short of frustrating. They've been consistently unresponsive and have ghosted my calls when I've asked about my deposit at the end of my tenancy agreement. It's not just me; it seems like previous tenants have faced the same ordeal, as I've seen in other honest reviews. My advice: steer clear of this agency if you want a hassle-free renting experience.

On my 3rd deal with Linzi at For The Landlords and was very pleasantly surprised how easy the buying, refurbing, refinancing, process has gone. Figures have been smack bang on each time. Its always enjoyable dealing with a mutual Forest Fan. I also have moved some of my existing portfolio to agent side of the business and Tom has been a huge level of support and knowledge with this. Especially around compliance. ( we wont mention his team) Great work guys! look forward to the future.....

Could never reach them during the tenancy. Made ridiculous claims on our deposit. The worst letting agency I dealt with in over decade of renting. Avoid.

DO NOT use these when looking for somewhere to rent!!!!! They tell you to reserve the room you can put a holding deposit down… but what they don’t tell you is that they let everybody put a deposit down and only choose 1 person!!! Absolute scammers!!!! There is loads of reviews on here and aswell as trust pilot too.Il be contacting Nottingham papers about this too and also trancing standards,I advise everybody else to do the same too…

These guys are clowns who lead you on with regards to a viewing then cancel at last moment poor communication also,leaving someone on the streets due to incompetence

I honestly would not recommend this agency at all. I would stay away at all costs. Not only are they quick to put you into a home with no such maintenance, but the ‘protected’ deposit you put down you don’t half get back. I have had nothing but trouble since moving out of one of their properties to not recieving most of my money back, to not getting things sorted in the house and to still be receiving letters for the property to my new address even after having stating I no longer live there. I moved out of the property on 20/11/2022 only recieving £280 of my £605 deposit yesterday (16/01/2023) which should have taken 14 days to solve, only to be told then that if it is not solved within 14 days I would then need to seek legal advice which the cost would be then taken from my deposit amount. Whenever I needed anything I was constantly on the phone. Numerous emails was sent to ask for updates or advice and I was receiving NOTHING in return. I constantly had to chase contact. So unreliable, they are not worth the stress. The charges they charged me for the house (final report) was already in that state prior to renting. Unfortunately I lost all photos to back this up and not to mention the house was cleaned top to bottom before I handed over the keys. Would NOT recommend. I Definitely advise for you to go to a well trusted agency even if you pay more money. These are not worth the stress, hassle, time or the loss of money. Well disappointing and this will be shared far and wide. Do some research, you will see there are a lot of people with mutual feelings.

The absolute worst agency I have ever had to deal with! Avoid to the hilt. Fortunately the property I currently live in was sold and it is now being managed by a much more competent and established company that actually answer the phone and emails.

Hi don’t bother with these people I had an appointment for the 10th oct 22 got a message saying it had been cancelled the woman on the phone told me that was the only appointment they had left I was so happy now I am not I did ask for another day she said no on the 26th oct they sent me an email saying it had been let oh my god how bad is that the staff are all appalling they are so rude and some of them are so nosy they put the phone down on u to Linda was not nice warning don’t bother with them they are sly
