Most of my order was fabulous for the gluten free pasta and breakfast cereal with no nasty additives. The Chocolate Chip Cookies are way over baked and so hard I couldn't bite into them and a struggle... Voir plus

Brown rice spaghetti now too skinny!!
I'm really disappointed that the thickness of the brown rice spaghetti has been changed – it makes a huge difference to the texture - and to how it cooks –it now breaks up into short bits - please bring back the nice thick spaghetti! It was the best gluten free I had found.

For many years, our gluten free pasta was made by a contractor in Italy, but we’ve recently acquired our own manufacturing facility there. This move allows us greater control over food quality and safety, which is vital for gluten free foods.
We would like to assure you that our new pastas have undergone rigorous testing to maintain the high standards we’re committed to. However, we have been made aware that the texture of certain batches of the Brown Rice Spaghetti have not met our expectations, and we’re currently in the process of making improvements to address this, and are hopeful that you will soon notice positive changes.

Always check the flour for weevils before risking contaminating your cupboards
I gave the company 4 months to respond to my complaint before writing a review but they have ignored me. I purchased 3 different bags of flour, on different dates and from different supermarkets. They all contained a large amount of weevils. They blamed anything and everything but themselves, claiming none are ever found onsite and nobody else had this issue. This is clearly a lie looking at other reviews. They sent me 3 replacement bags, which came direct from their premises. I opened these at the front door just in case and all 3 were absolutely crawling with them. It was utterly disgusting. They still refuse to accept responsibility, accused me of not cleaning my kitchen that the flours never entered and haven't even replied to my email. I have never experienced this with any other flour brands. It is such a shame they treat customers this way, especially as I had bought their products for many years.

As we’ve previously mentioned, Psocids typically thrive in warm and humid conditions, which are not present in manufacturing environments. For this reason, research has found that they are not present in such settings. Additionally, we conduct thorough examinations of all our products at the end of their shelf life, and to date, we have not found any pests in any of our products. While we cannot speak to conditions outside of our facilities, our records indicate that no single batch of flour has been affected, making it unlikely that this issue originates within our production process.
We’re genuinely sorry however, if our earlier responses gave you the impression that we were dismissing your concerns or accusing you. That was never our intention, and we deeply regret if that’s how it came across. We’ve reached out again in hopes of resolving this matter to your satisfaction.
Once again, we sincerely apologise for any frustration this situation has caused. We take your feedback to heart and are committed to making improvements to ensure a better experience for all our customers moving forward.

The flour arrived in reasonable time in…
The flour arrived in reasonable time in spite of Christmas. It seemed a very complicated way to order though having to order from free because it seemed I couldn't from Doves Farm and then they had to send my order to Doves Farm before it was sent. Why. Quite unnecessary I would say.

It’s not their fault!!!!
Bought a bag of GF self raising flour two weeks ago and decanted it into a sealed container. On opening the container two days ago I found that it had guests!! I contacted Doves and they basically said tough not our fault, it either happened in transport, the supermarket or your home. So not only have I paid through the nose (as being Coeliac is not a choice or cheap) but I have had to bin the lot. If it can happen in transport or the supermarket seal your bloody bags!!!! I don’t see why this should be my fault when I bought it and decanted it straight away.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we sincerely understand your frustration. It’s particularly disappointing when you're paying a premium for a product due to dietary needs, only to find it compromised. I can imagine how upsetting this must be, especially as you took the care to decant the flour into a sealed container immediately.
We take hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and to minimise the risk of contamination during the supply chain, all our products are shrink-wrapped before dispatch. However, we understand that this shrink wrapping is typically removed in-store, which may affect the product’s protection once it reaches the shelf. The paper bags we use are standard within the industry and, while sealed, do not fully protect against pest ingress. Based on our inspections, we have not found any evidence of pests such as flour mites or weevils in our products, suggesting that any pests likely entered the flour after it left our facility.
We truly appreciate your feedback, and it will be taken into consideration as we continue to improve
our processes. Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention.

Freee foods aren't being transparent…
Freee foods aren't being transparent with their suppliers about batch issues.
We've used and loved freee foods for over two years. They have been a pretty much daily staple in our house. But they moved their manufacturing from a third party Italian company to their own and since then have utterly screwed it up. The customer service is great in terms of apologizing and sending replacements. But recently one of the replacements provided seems to be an affected batch, the spaghetti we just had from Ocado also now has the issue - it previously had been immune. Our family friend has just had the same - also buying from Ocado.
It's clear that Freee foods have not communicated with Ocado about the issue and Ocado have a vast stock of the same which is utterly inedible.
As such we despite the good will of sending pasta I'm simply not going to buy this brand anymore. I imagine others trying it for the first time via Ocado will go, ugh what is this and never buy it again. It's bad leadership from the top to not recall it and bad for their reputation

Poorly packed - damaged goods
The box was huge and poorly packed and one of the bags of flour had split and some of the flour had leaked out onto the bottom of the box. The few bits of paper that were presumably meant to have protected the products were nothing like enough to fill the empty space. To be honest a smaller box would have been a better plan.
