Products are of very poor quality, have emailed the company on three occasions to carry out the refund process although on each occasion have not had a response, tried calling and the number does not exist.
All I want is a refund and send the products back due to the quality issue, very unhappy with service to date.

Never order anything from this company, they pretend to be based in the UK but they are based in China.
The item I ordered was nothing like as advertised, colour wrong, material was not wool as stated but made of a cheap inferior material which was highly in flammable.
They offer you a 5% return at first then 15%, if you refuse there offer then they ask you to return the item to China at your expense and the chances it ever reaches there is zero, or if it by a miracle it does get through customs the company say they never received the item so therefore can't refund you the full amount.
This company is a total fraud.
Never never order from them.
Always check the genuine Trustpilot reviews first, not the false ones the advertise on there site.

Absolute JUNK, and I never realised that they were Chinese, and the return of course is to China !!
About time that if we are buying from a company they state upfront where the returns go to. As we know the cost to return to China is high.

Shipped from China which takes ages, product quality is terrible and then take ages to give a return (still haven't had one)

I have given this company 1* as there is no option to go lower, its a scam I bought a pair of " beautiful on the photograph sleepers" dont let the AI photo fool you it took 2 weeks to arrive all the way from China , when i saw them I was appalled with the quality too embarrassing to give them as a gift. When I asked for a full refund this is the reply I got from Sophie:-
" We do not offer a free return, nor cover the cost of the return"
" We do not have a dept store in Europe"
'We only work with our dept store in China"
"Customs clearance procedures in China are complex'
" Declaring an amount over 10 Euros may incur taxes at our central dept store"
" They may conduct random inspections or targeted checks on incoming packages"
"This can increase the likelihood of items being seized"
Lastly
" We can offer a 15% discount and you can keep the sleepers ! "
Why do I want the sleepers , so the above is their response to me for asking a refund so please dont buy from them, I have learnt the hard way, I wished I had read the reviews prior to buying , I lost my money, charity will get the sleepers .

Scam, very bad customer service, item was expensive and faulty. Customer service refused return citing only has one warehouse in China. I would avoid at all costs.

This is a scam, stay away from them. First, they send you a wrong item, very very low quality. When you want to send it back, they tell you if you want to return something with a value grater than $10, that will be processed by a very strict entity and it is possible the item is never get back to them. And they offer you 10% money back and you can keep the wrong item. Then, if you insist, they can make an exception and give you 15% back. No matter what they say, in this part of the the world, Gentsoftbritain is a Chinese scam.

DO NOT buy from this company. Absolute scam.

Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. Complete crap, horrific company. Bought boots, were not leather and sizing was awful. Very convoluted process to return to China. Utter shit.

Bought a coat and recieved a completely different style. Complained and they wanted to give me 20% off the wrong item. Wouldn't refund without high return costs, when they sent the wrong item. Back and forth between their scam artist customer services, eventually got the money back through my bank.

The item they sent took ages and was such poor quality I wouldn't be seen dead in it.

Not trustworthy at all.

Poor quality, total false company selling Chinese rubbish quality. The shoes boots took over a month to arrive, just sellotaped up in a battered plastic bag. Not leather but made from some weird horrible smelling plastic material. Don't get taken in by the false marketing photos images. Wasted money. Thin weird soles. Poor quality. Don't get duped into buying from this company. Oh and they sent the wrong colour! Brown boots instead of grey ! More like a wellie, nothing stylish. Not like the photo. Cheap mass production Chinese scam.

Unfortunately, the items I received were of poor quality the material was very thin and did not resemble the product photos. When I requested a return, I was instructed to send the items back to China, which was unexpected, and the £12 return shipping cost was my responsibility. The parcel is now held at customs, and I’ve also been told that I am responsible for clearing it.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this retailer.

Total scam clothes are alien sizes so too small returning items to China costs £46 not an option offered 20% refund was a joke

They say UK sizes, but they're not. Bought an XL cos, its not even a UK M.
Took ages to arrive.

Shame I have to give 1 star.
Appalling company, item described as wool coat, delivered in 4-7 days.
It’s a totally different colour to what was ordered, 100% polyester and took over 2 weeks to arrive. Now making it incredibly difficult to return for a refund.
DO NOT PART with your hard earned money to these scammers.

Avoid at all costs. Paid for jacket - fell for the story that this would be delivered from the UK - as it turns out, only after it has been delivered to the UK from China. After ordering I realised the product would arrive too late so tried to cancel but was informed they have a 5 minute cut off for cancellations. When the product arrived it was nothing like the advertised piture - really terrible quality. I completed the tortuos returns process to return it to China (at my expense) in order to get a refund, but although Evri tracked the package to China, receipt was never acknowledged and no refund given - possibly it got stuck in Chinese customs. So no jacket and no refund.

In response to the Gents of Britain reply posted on Trust Pilot this is entirely misleading - but perhaps an object lesson in checking out the dishonesty revealed in the small print of on line companies. The front page of their website states, "We offer a 30-day return policy. If you are unsatisfied with you purchase, you can return the item in its original condition within 30 days of receiving it for a refund or exchange without any hassle." This could not be further from the truth. Once the small print is examined, the refund policy is clearly designed to ensure no refunds are paid - and it works well.
No mention is made in the Gents of Britain reply to the fact that the product supplied was nothing like the one presented on the website - appalling quality and direct deception.

One star is too much. Caught out as all the other unlucky customers. As long as these reviews can stop people buying from this ‘company’. Product is not as advertised. It is cheap. And returns don’t happen as the place is in China. Beware of this scam. See their reply…

Chinese company out to make a quick profit by deception.

I had to deal with their customer service again by email after they refused to allow either a return of my PLASTIC (not leather) shoes to a UK or EU address or give a refund. They offered only an opportunity to post the shoes to China at my own expense even though the shoes were falsely described/advertised. That's not realistic, unfair, and also I have no trust that they will arrive with them or even be acknowledged.

This company uses false advertising and false addresses and locations to evade customs tariffs and avoid returns and giving refunds.

A co.uk website. An HQ in the Netherlands (supposedly) means they can avoid action and complaints through UK trading standards. On the parcel when it arrived, the company had under-declared the value so as to avoid import taxes. This practice must be reported by everybody because it is destroying UK and EU retail and manufacturing. Do not support it. As for the goods they are supplying, cheap-looking, low quality, synthetic. Nothing like the image they are portraying on their website.
