I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from this company. Fell for the website, thought i was buying from a reputable company. The boots have finally arrived, cheap, nasty and plastic. £75 down the pan. Give this company a miss.

I made an impulse purchase without checking reviews on these scammers!!!!! They've had me good and proper for the sum of £116 for two pairs of mens boots. So far I've only received one pair, and I'm not confident I'll receive the 2nd pair. They are absolutely terrible quality, to the point where I'd be too embarrassed to even take them to the charity shop. Lots of back and forth emails from a person called "Sophie", and in the end, the realisation that I've been scammed has finally set in. It's taught me a very expensive, but valuable lesson, you live and learn.

I’ve paid £59 for a jacket, when it turned up after 2 weeks ( not what the website says!), it wasn’t what I’d ordered! I’d ordered large and it was very small and it was nothing like the picture! Terrible quality, very disappointing. They said I could return but it may not make it back to China!! They have given me a 20% refund!!! £11.79. Not great, because of the quality I probably won’t be able to sell it for £10!
I think it is a scam company. These companies should be ashamed of themselves, I am a single parent and can’t afford to lose £47!

Disgusting company. They are based in China, nothing to do with the UK what so ever. Scamming people with false advertising of products and descriptions.

You will receive your items after about a month. And what you receive will be a plastic knock off that they make in a warehouse for a tiny fraction of the price you pay.

Terms and conditions state you must pay for the return yourself , but with it being China, it's a hefty price and likely to be turned away due to customs.

Been arguing online for an about 3 weeks staying it's illegal, ( it is ) to falsely advertise goods and expect payments to come from customs to cover the return.

You just get some dribble reply stating if you read the website, you have to pay. Horrible company full of scumbags who are scamming people. They know what they are doing. And I think they must just make the money from people giving up and paying return costs.

The ( best they can do ) is a 25% refund and I get to keep the boots. Which looks like you could buy them in Thailand for about £5.

I'm not giving up, seeking any legal action I can take to bring this company to the ground. Pure scammers.

Scam Chinese company. Pretends to be a uk company. I experienced the non delivery of jacket, it had to returned to China for it to be resent! Asked for refund many times, kept on being fobbed off. Lost £55.

Scam company. Do not buy from this company. Coat arrived and it took 2 weeks, quality is shocking, looks nothing like the picture and they are now not answering their emails about a return. Do not use this company.

Awful! Purchased a coat from them, but what arrived was the cheapest, sloppy made imitation imaginable. The pictures used are clearly not genuine. The website claims master craftsmanship and exquisite tailoring, but what you receive is extremely amateurish. AVOID!!!!

Their customer service and return process only deepened the frustration. As stated on their website gentsofbritain refund policy, they do not offer free returns, nor do they cover return shipping costs. Worse, their only warehouse is in China, despite their British branding, making returns a costly nightmare. They warned that customs clearance in China is complex, and declaring a package value over 10 euros could incur taxes or result in the package being rejected or seized, with no coverage for such risks. Returning my order is now costing me £35—a significant expense for an already disappointing purchase.

Their response to my complaint was dismissive and unhelpful. They offered a paltry 15% refund to avoid the return, citing their "eco process" to reduce CO2 emissions (claiming they plant a tree for every three orders). This felt like a hollow excuse to dodge responsibility rather than a genuine environmental commitment. The "Return Trap" Experience:

The Quality: The item I received was nothing like the "top-class apparel" advertised. It was cheap, flimsy, and poor quality.

Hidden Returns: When I asked to return it, I was directed to an industrial zone in Dongguan, China.

The Financial Loss: I paid £35 to ship the item back. The seller then refused to accept the parcel, forcing me to pay another £42 in shipping fees.

Total Loss: I am now out £242 (£162 for the jacket + £80 in shipping costs) and have nothing to show for it.

The Verdict: They are absolute scumbags. They hide behind a British identity to lure you in, then make it financially impossible to return their sub-standard products. If you see their ads, keep scrolling. They are scammers, plain and simple.

To be fair the item is ok, I wouldn't say its high end quality as pictured. This is a firm in China pretending to be UK based. Returns is not an option due to cost. Just avoid guys and get rid of these cover ups.

I wish I'd checked the reviews before but my suede jacket, that was not suede. It has just arrived and is a cotton jumper. What an idiot I was. Gents of Britain, thinking an English company, with head office in the Netherlands and jacket coming from china! 🤣. Let this be a warning to all. If it seems to good to be true, it is!

Read your refund policy, after buying,returns are to your supplier in china! Cost is more than cost of item, and you state, that Chinese customs may not allow item through customs if cost of item is more than €10. So I'm guessing no guarantee of a refund?? Item was of so poor quality it went in the bin!!! Material was so thin you could see through it and the zip was so bad it would not fasten. As I've said, SCAM! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Supposed to have received a pure naturally made coat, received a awfully miss shaped heep of polyester, as usual, i did not read reviews.
Tracked dutch address given down, seems to be house, looking into it further, over 400 companies registered there and named person has a arrest warrant out for him, therefore a front for this chinese mob.

I ordered a pair of boots, which arrived today, just under a month since ordered. I’m no wall flower, but I’m so disgusted by them that I’m offended by them. They arrived in a plastic bag, soaking wet, creased, with part of the material (I’m not sure it is leather as advertised) rubbed off the back and something white, probably glue all over one of the heels. Whatever they are packed with, because wet smells of cat urine. I’ve had to put them in the outhouse.

I’ve emailed them with this information, and we will see what happens. I’ll update with that information. It is only now, stupidly, that I have looked at reviews. I gen thought from their website that this was a British company with good quality products on sale. I’m astounded that the garbage I’ve received today is even possible with trading standards in operation. Especially after discovering these reviews. They were £65 and I wouldn’t pay £5 from a charity shop for a one event for them.

I think they must have improved everything because I can’t relate to the negative reviews, lol. Great customer service and I loved the jumper. It looked even better than on the pictures.

Scam !!!! This is a Chinese company,portraying as a British company making poor quality products . Products DO NOT match the photographs .
Do not buy from this company…. They do not give full refunds and avoid returns at all avenues, even going to the extent of telling you the custom fees and shipping charges back to China .

I never understand why Trading Standards and Google allow such misrepresentation of product and service. These areChinese scammers presenting themselves as a ‘proper’ British company. Nothing British about them. Google ads say free returns but you have to pay to send returns to China. Shame on Google for allowing this and where are our UK Trading Standards officers? Do your homework folks.

Ordered mens 100% premium leather boots,when they arrived they were badly made and Plastic, also wrong size, I immediately rejected them and asked for a refund,they have since been offering different levels of discount . For me the way forward is to report to trading standards and then ask bank to make a CHARGEBACK, apparently you must give the company opportunity to resolve I will post further info as I get it in the hope it helps somebody else . Update to the above review I decided to take a 50% refund and donate the boots to a charity shop,the refund has been sent so there is SOME decency within this company,if they described honestly and lowered prices to match they might get some better reviews, but for now I have learnt an important lesson CHECK TRUSTPILOT FIRST

Goods received were not as described (like many other reviews, sizing is awful and comes out super small). Misrepresented their returns policy which (again as mentioned by others) is not easy, hassle free or likely to succeed.
Dreadful company, worst service ever.

My gilet was £42 but such poor quality and wrong size. When I tried to return they make it impossible with Chinese import tax and red tape, the offer you 15% to keep it

Dreadful service from start to finish. This is not a UK company but one based in China. The quality was poor and the men’s coat that I ordered did not even fit my 13 year old daughter. The returns process requires the purchaser to front all of the costs ( in my case 50% value of the initial purchase price). However, there is a strong likelihood that customs will make additional charges which will not be paid by Gents of Britain. This means that the item won’t get returned and no refund will be forthcoming. Not quite a scam but simply dreadful products with no real right of redress. Only hope when it goes wrong is to go to your own bank / credit card company. This, I have done. Fingers crossed that they can refund me.

Looking for a men's jacket, ad popped up offering wool jacket for £54.95. Happened to be 'Gents of Britain'. Never heard of them, fooled by the name, placed order without checking the likes of Trustpilot, which is just not like me, but there you go.
2 weeks for jacket to arrive - from China, via the company in Holland (Gents) probably. Not wool of course, some awful material. Requested return. Told I'd have to send back to China, possible taxes, possible return to me yakety yak.
Offered 15% refund - would you believe!
Quoted customer rights - offered 20%.
Quoted Trading Standards - offered 25%
Told them I would only accept 50% refund - got it.
Perhaps they trade on the 'wins' and manage to only refund small amounts. I mean who is going to risk returning to goods to China - plus the postage costs???
We certainly learn by our mistakes.
