V poor quality and a scam you have to pay to return to china

we do not offer a free return service nor cover the cost of the return, we also do not have a department store in Europe, we only work with our department store in China.

Sadly took it a company named 'Gents of Britain' was a Uk business, instead their stuff is coming from China and after 3 weeks still waiting with little information and their tracking system is decidedly Chinese.

Ordered a coat from what I thought was a British company given the name. Garment still being flown on from China and hasn’t arrived. Beware Chinese company with no clothing in Britain despite the name stay well away.

Scammed like everyone else, like a fool
I didn’t check the reviews before ordering due, to late night shopping, sleep deprived and after a few drinks- still no excuse!

Once I realised this was a Chinese company as my order was taking ages and showing some bizarre warehouse and courier companies- I researched and realised they were all Chinese, not a British company as advertised. When I emailed them, to their credit I got a fast AI response but they then only offered me £15% - £9.50 refund on my total order unless I gambled and sent it back to their warehouse in China as they claimed they had no store in the UK.
Thankfully NatWest did me a solid and got my money back after I disputed it with them.Advise anyone else to go through their bank! Avoid at all costs and always be careful when late night shopping after a few!

Never buy anything from this company,it's a total rip off.You will wait weeks and recieve a product which is nothing like what you ordered,then you will be ripped off by thier returns policy.Stay away from this scam

Wrong size, misrepresentation. I ordered a size 46 shoe. It arrived and was way too small. I emailed them, and they asked for pictures and a measurement of the insole, which came to 28cm. A size 46 is around 30.7cm insole. They wrote back saying this is standard size and I have to follow their refund procedure and return to China, along with a vague threat that it may not even reach them. Waste of money.

Do not buy from this company until you have read their return/exchange policy on their website very carefully. They present as a reputable company, selling high quality clothing, when in fact they are the opposite. The quality is appalling and once bought it is almost impossible to get a refund.

It’s Shame there is not a minus stars on here as that’s what this company would get. I feel so stupid by the fact for one of the first times I didn’t check trust pilot before making an order. I ordered a green woken jacket at £58 reduced from £100. The images looked very high quality and the reveiw on the website supported this (clearly fake reviews). The product took 3 week to arrive, was tightly wrapped and the quality was nothing short of disgusting. It is a cheap Chinese product that is Ill fitting despite the fact its meant to be tailored and the material feels like it would set on fire just being near a lamp. As can be seen from this review I am fuming.

I have emailed the company but aj resigned to losing my money on this horrible product.

got suckered into buying from these scam artists. Web site looks professional but is run by Chinese crooks.

SCAM, do not buy.
Items arrived faulty and different size and colour, returns are to be apparently made to China with stating wrong value for customs. Opened a dispute.

I wish I could give less than one star

I feel like such a fool coming on here and seeing all the negative reviews. I should have checked before spending £100 buying wedding anniversary gifts that never got to me. Not sure what I was thinking buying off Gents of Britain. They claim they can process refund but it is not true! Please AVOID

Poor quality goods. They offered a full refund if my bank closed the freeze. I did this. All contact with the company ceased and no refund was ever sent.

Now a useless apology has been offered but no attempt has been made to repay me or resolve the situation. This company should be avoided!

A total Chinese scam. I ordered a linen jacket which took several weeks to arrive. When it was unpacked it was obvious that it wasnt linen. It was actually polyester and of incredibly poor quality. The returns process was a joke considering the web site said it would guarantee 100% payment return if not satisfied. In fact it was really difficult to get any payment. There are quite a few sites popping up on FB/search engines that are Chinese rubbish.

I ordered clothing from GentsofBritain.com. The pants I received were see-through and the sizing was far smaller than a standard Large. The quality was unacceptable.

The company advertises “30-day returns in the United Kingdom,” but when I tried to return the item, they insisted I send it back to China at my own cost and risk of customs seizure. Instead of following UK consumer law, they offered me only 15–20% partial refunds or a replacement.

This is misleading and not in line with UK consumer rights. I am reporting the business to Trading Standards.

I would not recommend buying from this company.

I'm coming to reinforce all the reviews done. Do not use this business, it's absolutely disgusting, untrustworthy from the beginning to the end. Absolutely cheating. After all, how can internet search engine suggest them?! They should be banned.

I placed an order with Gents of Britain believing it was a UK-based company. The website uses British branding, prices in GBP, and claims to serve UK customers — but only after payment did I discover they are based in China, with a return warehouse also in China.
Their cancellation policy is absurd — only allowing 5 minutes to cancel an order, which violates UK consumer law. Despite their own claim that orders are processed in 1–2 working days, mine was “dispatched” within hours, conveniently making cancellation “impossible.”
Their return policy is deliberately obstructive: customers must pay to return items to China, even if the product is misrepresented. They refuse to acknowledge UK consumer rights and hide behind vague legal disclaimers referencing Dutch law.
I’ve reported the company to Action Fraud UK, Trading Standards, and the UK International Consumer Centre. This is not just about money — it’s about principle and protecting others from being misled.
Avoid this company. Their practices are deceptive, and their customer service is evasive.

This is a scam company and needs closing down.

I did check reviews here before ordering but thought oh well, if the cot is really bad I will just return it. Well yes, the coat was poor quality and very thin when it is marketed as a winter item.
However my big mistake was I did not notice the return address was marked as China. below is my emails to and from the company this afternoon.

Enclosed is the return form, as we only have one warehouse in the world, we can only process returns through there. Returning to another address may result in the destruction of your package and will not suffice for a refund on your order.

If returning is not an option for you, we also offer the following: Since we prefer to avoid returns given the ecological process (CO2) emissions (For every 3 orders we plant a tree in the world).

Here we then refund (15%) of your total order value and credit it to your original payment method. Then, no need to return anything back to us. We hope you can understand and I hope to resolve this soon together with you, Mr C.

Foolish of me to not note that the return country is China. If I had I would have never ordered.

Understandable as you have made your company address in the Netherlands much easier to spot rather that just the word China.

However, I will say that unless your website shows all the written information you have included below, I think your business is being deceptive.

The emphasis is only now there are likely to be many barriers in my purchase even reaching your factory shop and there will be many costs involved. Not only postage charge.

To claim you have this policy in support of reducing CO2 emissions is rather hollow. And that you plant a tree for every third return? Really!

Clearly it would likely be better for me to try to sell the coat myself.

However, I will be publishing my review on Trustpilot and including the email you have sent me today.
