the company claims to carry out miele washing machine repairs this is why I chose them even though their call out charges are extortionate.I explained what the fault was so it was clear what had to be done and the engineer visited and then said he couldn't repair it and charged £143 for his time.I think they should have been honest and said they couldn't repair it, as did the other repair companies

Glotech is uninterested in repairing your appliance; they simply want to book a visit and charge the up-front fee. Avoid at all costs.

We live in Godalming in Surrey and our freezer was making a horrible loud humming noise and we were worried it was about to break. So we contacted Glotech to come out and have a look. William came this morning, and fixed the issue, Ice had built up behind the back panel and around the fan which he managed to clear. He was very friendly and efficient and tidied up after finishing and we are thrilled to have a working freezer for Christmas! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Glotech and William! Thank you!

The engineer Aimen Slama arrived right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem of the washing machine, and explained everything clearly, very tidy. Would 100% recommend!

William was very knowledgeable and very competent in dealing with the issue with the wine cooler in my house at Woking. His diagnosis was accurate and repair precise. Glad he solved the issue.

I had a terrible leak from my washing machine which was going through to the lobby of the block of flats where I live.
My usual repair man was busy on a job for 4 weeks which clearly was not acceptable, so I found Glotech on line and took a chance.
I have now crossed out the name of my former repair man!
They came the next day, were polite and tidy, found the faults within an hour and as luck would have it, they had the spare hose on board their van which replace the split one which caused the problem.
Job done.
They are now in my phone book and I will not hesitate to use them for any other machines they cover when and if needed.

Came when they said they would, didn’t damage anything and fixed my oven once the part they needed was available two working days later.

Danny has just left after repairing the automatic door opening system on my NEFF microwave. Reported the problem to Glotech last week and Danny came out to take a look and ordered the part whilst here. Excellent service and Danny was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend Glotech as they are very efficient. Thank you.

Very bad experience indeed!

In summary: repair job left incomplete, appliance damaged by their engineer, payment taken under pressure before work was finished, and three-plus weeks of silence after a formal written complaint.

Glotech were booked to repair a Whirlpool fridge freezer thermostat (3 September 2026, Belper). The engineer struggled for a long time with visible force and crunching noises while dismantling it, and made no progress. He admitted he was struggling, and it was suggested he stop, which he agreed to do. He then insisted on immediate payment of £109.14 despite the job not being completed, and became agitated when the customer declined to sign the job sheet confirming satisfaction. He left the unit hanging off, with the plug switched off but not removed from the socket.

When this was raised by phone, Glotech's complaints department said it was "our word against the engineer's" and that independent proof would be needed. A second, independent engineer was brought in and found the housing unit's lugs broken, confirmed in writing on their invoice — a replacement part had to be sourced and fitted (£34.89) before the original thermostat fault could even be addressed.

A full written complaint, invoice and photographic evidence was emailed to Glotech on 23 September 2026. They replied the same day assuring the customer the matter was being reviewed. Nothing further was heard, so a follow-up was sent on 9 October — 16 days later — still with no response. It is now 18 October, over three weeks since the original complaint, with still no reply or resolution from Glotech.

This has since been reported to Trading Standards, with a dispute also opened with the bank. Would not recommend based on this experience.
