Excellent Repair Engineer
I booked to have my washing machine repaired and slots were available for this to happen from the next day. The booking was easy. The repair engineer, Ben Flynn, was very professional, polite and quick to diagnose the issue. He was due diligent to identify the root cause which was a simple filter problem rather than assume (like others did) that the whole housing needed replacing. He answered all my questions clearly. I recommend him and this company.

Never turned up and no communication
I gave a window of 12 to 5 and by 5 I phoned to say he hadn't come yet! They said he was running late and i would be next and he would call when he was on the way. Didnt call and didnt come. Terrible communication and terrible service or non service. Can not recommend this company at all….steer clear.

Extremely disappointed with Glotech
Extremely disappointed with Glotech. I paid £123.54 for an inspection, but my fridge was ultimately repaired by another company after Glotech advised that it was not worth repairing. Despite this, Glotech considers the full charge justified and offered just £12.35 as a goodwill refund. I find this completely unsatisfactory given my experience. What is even more frustrating is that my concerns have not been resolved to my satisfaction. I expected much better service, accountability and customer care. I feel let down as a paying customer and would not recommend Glotech based on my experience.

We’re sorry to hear that you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of your appointment, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position.
Having reviewed our records, I can see that our experienced engineer carried out an inspection of your fridge freezer and identified that it required a re-gas due to a loss of refrigerant within the sealed system. Unfortunately, this type of repair can be costly, and where an underlying leak may be present, there is no guarantee that re-gassing alone will resolve the issue. For this reason, our engineer advised that the appliance was likely beyond economical repair and that replacing it may be the more cost-effective option.
This advice was given to ensure you were aware of the potential costs and risks before committing to further work. However, had you wished to proceed with the repair, we would have been happy to discuss this with you. Our aim is always to provide honest, expert advice so that customers can make an informed decision about the best option for their appliance.
When you later contacted us to explain that another company had repaired the fridge freezer, we reviewed the report they provided. This indicated the same underlying issue identified by our engineer, and therefore did not suggest that our original diagnosis was incorrect.
The £123.54 labour fee covers the engineer’s attendance, inspection, testing and diagnosis, rather than being conditional on whether you choose to proceed with the recommended repair. As the inspection was completed and the diagnosis was consistent with the subsequent report, the fee remains applicable. The goodwill refund of £12.35 was offered in recognition of your dissatisfaction, rather than as an acknowledgement that the inspection or advice provided was incorrect.
We appreciate that you were disappointed with the recommendation to replace your appliance, but we hope this clarifies the reasoning behind our engineer’s advice and the charges applied.

Excellent service from start to finish
William arrived early on Wednesday to determine the issue with our top oven and quickly noted that two elements needed replacing (also able to tell me exactly how old the appliance was which helped explain the need for maintenance) . The parts were ordered on the spot and he was back on Friday morning to fit them.
William was polite and professional throughout as were the team at HQ . I thoroughly recommend this business on the strength of my experience.
