I had an extremely disappointing experience with Glotech Repairs and would not recommend them to anyone.
First, their high call‑out fee of £99.95 gave me confidence that I’d receive a professional diagnosis — but that didn’t happen. They misdiagnosed the fault completely and told me I needed parts that turned out to be unnecessary. They also failed to turn up twice for the repair appointments they booked, wasting my time and leaving my oven unusable.
Because of their incorrect diagnosis, I had to call out another oven company. Within less than five minutes, the engineer identified the real issue: melted wiring at the connection point. I was shocked to learn that, had I continued using the oven as Glotech advised, it could have resulted in an electrical fire.
In the end, I had to pay two oven companies and an electrician to fix a problem Glotech should have diagnosed correctly the first time. They have only offered to refund the cost of the unnecessary parts, but not the call‑out fee — despite the fact their diagnosis was wrong and their service unreliable.
Overall, Glotech Repairs caused stress, extra expense, and potentially put my home at risk. I strongly advise avoiding them.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and, in particular, how much frustration and inconvenience this situation has caused you. This is certainly not how we want any customer to feel following a repair with us.
We sincerely apologise for the two cancelled repair appointments you experienced. Unfortunately, unforeseen issues arose with the attending engineer which meant he was unable to attend as planned. While we did offer to rearrange these for the next available appointments, including next-day availability, we completely understand how frustrating this would have been.
We’re also sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the diagnosis and the subsequent advice you received from another technician. Having reviewed our records, we can see that when you decided not to proceed with the repair, we agreed to refund the parts that had been ordered. However, there was no mention to our team at that time of an incorrect diagnosis, concerns regarding the safety of the appliance, or a dispute regarding the labour fee. As we were not made aware of these concerns, we unfortunately weren’t given the opportunity to investigate them or address them as part of your original complaint.
We take concerns regarding our engineers’ diagnoses seriously, particularly where a customer has subsequently been advised that there may have been a safety issue. We would therefore be more than happy to review this with you and do what we can to put matters right. Please contact our office again so that our team can discuss the details with you and talk you through our proposed resolution.
We’re genuinely sorry that your experience has been so disappointing, and we hope we can have the opportunity to properly address your concerns.

Failed fridge freezer in Farnham.
William visited our home in Farnham to check our fridge freezer which had failed. He was polite, worked quickly and advised clearly on what had failed and requested the office to send quotes on options for us.

Booked an engineer through Glotech to repair a wine fridge
Booked an engineer through Glotech to repair my wine fridge. He took £265 for a part (by credit card - I should have known better) then I never heard from him again. Glotech refused to reimburse me for my loss and took absolutely no responsibility whatsoever for the introduction of an engineer they recommended. Customer service were extremely unhelpful and I am now taking both the engineer and Glotech to the small claims court. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Where repairs are booked within the areas covered by our local engineering teams, Glotech acts as the booking agent. We therefore hold the original booking information, but the attending engineer team holds the records relating to the visit, repair, parts, payments and any subsequent refund or complaint. This does unfortunately mean that our office can be limited in what we are able to establish or resolve directly.
I can see that our team has been in communication with you regarding this dispute and has provided as much advice and assistance as we could based on the information available to us. We’re sorry if you felt this was unhelpful; we have genuinely tried to assist despite not being the company that carried out the repair.
If you are still experiencing difficulties in communicating with the engineer team, please contact our office again. If you can provide us with copies of your correspondence with them, we can review this further and see what additional assistance we may be able to offer.

Booked through the reviews on trustpilot. They cancelled on me twice when they called me to book again they couldn’t give me an am or pm, not even on the day! Unprofessional however I did get a call 40 mins before from the lovely engineer. I was charged £180 for a plastic arm for my dishwasher costing £35 and less than 10 minutes service. I did have a conversation for 5 mins so maybe that was it.
I politely emailed them for clarification and I was sent a generic email telling me a call out charge is fixed whether it’s 5 or 50 mins.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the two cancelled appointments, and we completely understand how frustrating it must have been to have your arrangements disrupted. When our team offered to rebook you for the earliest available appointment, unfortunately we were unable to guarantee a specific morning or afternoon time, as unforeseen delays or further changes can sometimes affect engineer schedules. We appreciate this wasn’t ideal.
Regarding the labour fee, this is a fixed charge rather than a fee based on the length of the engineer’s visit. It covers the engineer’s time and work involved in diagnosing, testing and completing the repair, whether this takes a few minutes or considerably longer, so the charge does not reduce based on how long the visit takes. It also provides a six-month warranty for the same fault, meaning we would re-attend to investigate the same issue within this period without an additional labour charge.
We’re pleased that, despite the earlier appointment difficulties, your dishwasher was successfully repaired and that you found the engineer himself to be helpful and considerate. We’re sorry that the overall experience fell short of what you expected and hope we can provide a smoother service in the future.

Terrible service
Terrible service, had booked a time slot between 12.00 and 17.00 and was told at 16.00 the day before that it would be 08.00-13.00. Never had this with other service companies and no confidence at all that they would turn up. Booking with a more reliable company.

While we always try to keep to requested time slots, unforeseen circumstances can sometimes affect an engineer’s route and require appointments to be adjusted. In this instance, our team contacted you as soon as the change became apparent, on the day before your appointment, so that you had advance notice and could make alternative arrangements rather than being inconvenienced on the day.
We also offered to rebook the appointment for another suitable day and offered a discount on the labour fee to recognise the inconvenience caused, although we understand that you chose not to proceed with either option.
