Engineer cancelled the appointment for repair
The boiler is leaking after 16 months. Scheduled a repair with Glow Worm. Had to wait 4 days without heating or hot water. No message from Engineer about what time he’d arrive before the day. Got a phone call on the day saying he’d been driving around for 20 mins but could not find parking. We offered our parking space but he said it’s too small for his van. We also suggested a car park 300 ft away he said it’s too far without checking. He cancelled the appointment and we have to wait another 3 days with no heating. If we had known the time of his arrival we could have arranged parking for him with neighbours. I’m sure it could have been arranged more reasonably and effectively instead of having two retirees going without heating for another 3 days. Otherwise the Glow Worm customer service operators and our previous experience with them had been very satisfactory.
Update on Apr 8
Another Engineer came yesterday. He sent a message with approx time of visit the night before, gave us a heads up 20 mins before arrival on the day and happily parked in the place we left for him. All the things that the previous Engineer did not do. Efficient and courteous service. Much appreciated.

Thank you for your review Philip, we’re sorry to hear about your boiler. Thank you for providing your contact information, we understand that your boiler was installed on 7th June 2022 and has not had an annual service since installation, your boiler should’ve had 2 services in this time frame and would be due the 3rd one in June 2025. Having your boiler serviced once a year by a Gas Safe registered engineer ensures that you maintain your guarantee after the first year, avoid future repairs when problems are spotted early, save energy as our engineer will check your boiler is running efficiently, and increase the life expectancy of your boiler. Most importantly an annual service ensures that your boiler is safe.

Always get a fully registered fitter
I had a gas boiler fitted last year and it wasn't right,the guy who came out and fitted my new glow worm boiler was a complete professional

Great team of engineers,
From the first engineer who came out to quote me, to the 2 engineers who came to install my new boiler, all 3 were polite, friendly, professional, and worked confidently throughout the day.
They worked around any issues (electrics had to be turned off, limited access to radiators, a new piece of equipment needed to replace a broken one - none of which was their own fault) and didn’t have any negativity about anything.

Mistakes were made by the fitters who…
Mistakes were made by the fitters who had to come back twice to rectify them. I was very disappointed by whole experience and will not be recommending you. Speak to Mike of Fine Heat company who knows what went wrong.

New boiler is good but controls are not good
Giving a score of 2 for now as we had a new boiler installed a week ago. The installer could not get the controller (Gateway), thermostat and the MiGo app to work correctly, the Vaillant engineer who came to sort it could also not get it working and here we are a week on and no indication of when it will be working. Not a great advert for the new generation of GlowWorm boilers and controllers
