Complete nightmare not worth one star! Moved on to Greenby by Plusnet after many satisfactory years without any choice. Couldn't send/recieve any plusnet mail so have paid them money to get some sor... Voir plus

Plusnet moved our mail accounts to this utter waste of space, and has the cheek to charge £15py for us to access our emails. "Live - as in Microsoft.com mail servers, have Greenby on there block... Voir plus

After multiple phones call with this business and the guilty party Plusnet who dumped me with them, and promises of improved Spam filters, today 5th May 2026 so far = 37 new spam Inbox and 140 in junk... Voir plus

I was transferred by PlusNet and have found Greenby to be completely useless. I honestly think a 10 year old boy working from his bedroom on a Commodore 64 using a dial up connection would do better... Voir plus

So pleased to read that everyone else…

So pleased to read that everyone else is having problems. I thought it was just me. Everything others have written I have experienced, from missing e-mails, mails going into junk, mails not sending, no response from Greenby etc etc
After the first couple of incidents I virtually gave up and set up free g-mail accounts for my wife and self. Works fine through Thunderbird and easy to set up.
Unfortunately I had to spend a lot of time going to various accounts to change my details. About 25 so far including doctors, dentist, banks, utilities etc. but at least the pain and frustration has virtually stopped now. I'll keep my Plusnet addresses for a while just in case I've forgotten anyone.
However I do miss my old plusnet e-mail address, it was kind of unique.

JUST DOES NOT WORK

The service doesn't work, it's intermittent, emails don't send, credentials keep changing, mailboxes are missing the list is endless.

Support tickets don't fix the problem

Been like this since Plusnet ported the email over.

Terrible companies, both Plusnet and Greenby

Greenby are rubbish

Greenby don't seem to know what the heck they are doing - support is zero except for a bot that's usless - and they would like me to pay for this kind of service after 2 years...

Greenby are rubbish

The beginning of 2026, yet again I am experiencing Greenby server issues. You can't phone Greenby and the bot thing is beyond frustrating. As for their FQA page - absolutely useless! Thank god i have a 365 subscription - Microsoft did their checks and found fault is the Greenby server. Beyond annoying Greenby, cannot wait to ditch them.

Ditto to the review from 30 Mins ago: All of a sudden my e-mails stopped arriving although outgoing "appears" to be still happening. Tried to contact Greenby but no joy and can't either login to my Greenby account or (with the help of Plusnet) access my Greenby webmail. I didn't ask for this service and I certainly didn't ask to have this stress in my life. BTW I'm a disabled user - not that I think they give a damn about that.

As per the above and now I also cannot view from the Greenby portal, no phone number to call, just a ticket system that is less that efficient, trying to sort this out for my elderly parents (over 80).

try to log in, just keeps saying " server failed "
and it's NOT the first time this has happened since change over from Plusnet and they don't seem to care, they just say go to Greenby website. "months ago I left a similar complaint and was told by Ai that I would be contacted, but NEVER was !!!

The customer service is awful

The customer service is awful. You can’t phone anybody. The only option is to deal with a bot. I’ve tried for a couple of hours, normally my comments aren’t delivered, or the bot fires back a lot of other questions, and when I try to answer them my answers aren’t sent. Why did Plusnet, who have a good customer service, agree to transfer their email service?

greenby e mail service from plus net

Useless,have been shunted over from plusnet,now unable to access any e mail from plusnet including basic squirrel mail,and nothing from greenby.Not able to contact anyone from greenby except a useless bot.will close my plusnet account

Dreadful, appalling, angry

Absolutely awful. Shame can't give 0 stars.
Migrated over from Plus Net last week. Not warned beforehand and emails suddenly disappeared. Took 3, yes THREE days of frustration and time wasted to be able to access my inbox and set up on my phone. Response only after I complained. Messages received: XX entered chat, XX left chat, YY entered chat, YY left chat etc. Despite my typing in hello? nobody responded. why can't we speak to someone human??!!
A week on still problems receiving mail. Not recognising passwords. Sent box most recent is 2023! Bin is incomplete. So am looking round for another provider. Have been with Plusnet since 2006 and always had good customer care.

An endless circle of frustration

An endless circle of frustration . You enter details you know to be correct only to be repeatedly blocked with nowhere to turn to for assistance other than a useless AI bot . Avoid at all costs.

Avoid !

Plusnet transferred my email a/c to Greenby in November. No issues until a fortnight ago, now emails are very slow to arrive and some don't arrive at all. Cannot log in to Greenby webmail at all and AI bot bloody useless. They are blaming BT for the problem but judging by all these woeful reviews THEY are the problem. Had been with Plusnet for years and wanted to keep email address but I can't put up with this deplorable service.

It's very unreliable

It's unreliable.

The brand seems to have been set up to take the migrated Plusnet email service and the company behind it can't provide a reliable service at the scale required for all the migrated Plusnet users.

I suspect they don't get much (or any) funding from BT/Plusnet and are doing it to aquire a customer base.

Sadly it will just act as an incentive for the customers to find a different provider once the "free" period ends.

Several weeks' experience poor

Move from Plusnet was OK, although not warned about re-appearance of several days of old e-mail. however, service seems flaky, randomly refusing access to various mailboxes and refusing to accept it's their problem - attempts to get user to change things that do not need changing. Help is appalling - tickets are only answered on Web site and usually by a poor AI which works to a script. Blacklist doesn't work properly and Greenby unable to improve.
Generally, not a service I'd pay for.

Continuing logon problems

I along with many others had the misfortune to be compulsorily transferred to Greenby by Plusnet. They should collectively hand their heads in shame. Fort the past three months there have been continuing problems with the web server telling me that my log-in credentials are wrong, before eventually accepting them unchanged. This service, for which I will eventually be charged extra, is simply appalling and I will be seeking alternatives as soon as possible.

Useless, Clueless

So, Honest, Greenby have proved unable to provide the service, this has been my honest experience since they told me I had successfully migrated.
Constructive, instead of asking for money for the service they purport to provide they could charge a returnable nominal fee to demonstrate that they can provide it. I would be willing to pay if they proved they are not scam artists.
How can we join together to form a class action to take action? Does anyone have the Knowhow? They have been totally inept for nearly 3 months Nov-Feb

No emails for a month

Our emails were transferred to Greenby by plus net . After hours on the phone to plus net who were very helpful finally got my husbands emails in a useable condition
I gave up with mine after numerous calls and chats very polite Bots I still have no emails since mid..December .. I am at a loss and it seems I will have to loose my email address and find another server. That works !
As an add on my husband is getting swamped with spam emails .. since the transition
