Flaming Grill on Bolton Road

Went to Flaming Grill on Bolton Road, Chorley for my mums 79th birthday on Friday 20th February with family and the staff (especially Sarah) went above and beyond to make our experience a great one.
Nothing was too much hassle. We had that much of a great time that we went back the following week.
The food was great, the waiting time was really good and the staff was excellent. It’s a nice welcoming place x

Don’t believe Greene King promotions

My wife and I were due to meet friends at a restaurant near Oxford St today and due to public transport timings it made sense to do a pit stop at a pub nearby before we all met up to ensure we weren’t late. We did a google search and chose ‘Blue Posts’ because Greene King were supposedly offerring a deal for £3 a pint Peroni for the 27 Feb ‘pay day weekend’. To get this offer you were compelled to download the Greene King app (they want your data), so I did that. BUT when I went to Blue Posts to then get the offer was I told it wasn’t available. Totally cynical miss -selling.
I for one will never buy from them again.
A company not to be trusted……
I wouldn’t normally bother to do this kind of review but I’m sick and tired of politicians/corporate entities thinking they can rely on sufficient apathy to get away with lying and misrepresentation without consequences.

DO not down load the app offers don't work

Honestly would really give one star. Received the email offering £3 a pint. So we all download the app and guess what it doesn't work. Even showed this to the bar staff and thEy did nothing.
DO NOT DOWN LOAD THE APP

Booked a table at Overstone Manor

Booked a table at Overstone Manor, Northampton to have our Sunday evening meal. It was 10 minutes before someone came to seat us then having bought our drinks and paid for a carvery there was only one choice of meat left which was gammon being sliced as thinly as possible as they were no doubt in fear of running out of that. Having complained to the manager Sabrina she offered us a refund and explained they had been busy and run out of meat. We stayed as it was too late to try and eat somewhere else and were eventually offered ‘a free cup of coffee or something to drink’ while we were eating but declined as we already had bought drinks!
Needless to say will not be going back again…..

What a disappointment

We booked for Sunday lunch. We have done this before and not had any problems but, this time we were most disappointed.
There were too few staff for the amount of people who followed us in; 1 bar tender, 1 table attendant and what appeared to be an assistant manager flitting between the kitchen and the restaurant.
The food, when it arrived was poor to say the least. 2 very thin slices of bacon slicer cut beef, 4 deep fried roast potatoes and 'seasonal veg' of peas and carrots and stuffing?, (with roast beef?), and gravy (powdered and made up) thick enough to stand a spoon in. Impressed? neither were we.
The service was slow and the food had been under heat lamps for a while.
We ate, paid and left.
It was a shame because we have had some great meals here and good family occasions.

The manager of The Crow’s Nest

The manager of The Crow’s Nest, Percy Street, Newcastle is the most rude senior pub employee I have encountered in the UK pub industry. I have DSAR’d your company for our interaction and lodged a complaint. How is this company still operating a profit? Where is my Sprite, sorry £4.50 lemonade refund please? King of ripping people off for the green notes in our pockets!

Extremley offended

I booked a table for the Rugby in the Mitre Holland Park on Saturday, upon arrival we were greeted by the Manager who was rude & abrupt we said that we had booked a certain table to watch the rugby this didn't interest him at all, he said it wasn't possible which was strange as we had booked earlier in the week with another Manger. Having been a regular in this pub for over a year I don' t think we should have been treated so badly, this guy isn't suited for the Hospitality trade!!!

Used to be a great restaurant for…

Used to be a great restaurant for gluten free but changed the menu why can't u do chips on menu as it only takes a separate fryer which I can buy for not a lot of money who wants burger and mashed potatoes u are making celiac customers feel unwelcome

Folly Andover

Staff are not friendly. Tables are dirty. A milkshake is milk with ice cubes. Gin and Rhubarb and custard with fruit is gin Rhubarb with slice of lemon. Generally a very unpleasant meal

Great pub

Great pub, good prices, but customers vaping in dining areas unchallenged by staff. When reported by customer, customer deemed to be the problem.

We visited The Royal Sovereign in…

We visited The Royal Sovereign in Salford, Manchester, before a hospital appointment, we ordered the meal deal for 2. I had fish and chips, there were literally 5 chips on the plate and a spoonful of mushy peas. The meal could have fit on a side plate. I am not a big eater, but on arrival at the hospital I had to get a snack, as I was hungry. First and last visit, unfortunately

Great visit today with my colleague. Excellent service, greeted by Tom & Jenny. Nothing to much trouble. Tasty food, highly reccomend the Korean Chicken.

In pub app not working

Went for a meal with the family. Got to the restaurant and was seated and advised to use the app to order. Tried for 10 mins to try and get the order placed by the app and tried off 3 different phones. Had to place the order at the bar and then had to queue another 10 mins as only 2 servers on to take the order. Plus side was that the food was great.

Bad service

Called tonight at 6-30pm, they were no very busy but the place was a tip as they had not cleared up after being busy, glasses and pots piled up all over the place. I placed my order on the app, then was told there was no carvery as they had run out of meat (6-30pm on a weekend) i was asked to choose something else which I did - Scampi. When I asked about refunding the difference I was told to go to the bar and he would refund me, poor service why could he not have brought the refund to the table it was their fault they had run out of meat. When the food came the Scampi meal was just about warm. You can keep the refund and warm to food up for someone else.

Trents, Chichester. No Heating / Hot water.

Trents, Chichester. Hotel Room.
We arrived on Sat 13th December to a cold room because the heating had failed. An electric heater was provided. The next morning we discovered there was no hot water and we don't do cold showers!
The room was booked via Booking.com and cost £105.
I sugested to the guy in charge at breakfast that I would be happy to accept an inhouse voucher for 25% of the cost because of the problems with the room.
We were finally offered last week a refund of £8.67... Seriously???
I appreciate that stuff happens but I also believe that its not what goes wrong but how its put right........................
