Booked table for 10 for Sunday lunch.
Pub not half full yet staff running around like headless chickens complaining about how busy it was.
Main courses came out in two stages with over 5 minutes between first and second lot.
Son complained his sausages tasted “funny” checked and they weren’t cooked in the centre. Was given an ice cream to compensate but no offer of refund.
Sunday lunch was tough meat, instant mash and frozen veg/roast potatoes/Yorkshire pudding.
First and last visit to this pub.

Dinner was a 30-minute wait but fair as it is pretty busy, and the steak and chicken was delicious - However, a tub of sub quality ice cream with half a fun size Twix does not a"Candymania" make in our humble opinion... If that pud were on Come dine with me, the narrator would've ripped your chef a new one..
Fox & Crown Sutton in Ashfield…
Booked for 10 people for a birthday treat 12 days in advance, got to the Fox & Crown on the date to be told the booking was not on the system. They said they were full up so could not get us in. Could'nt care less that they had messed up, and nothing they could do.

Visit this pub if you like tepid food served on cold plates and dirty surroundings.
Visited my local Green King pub today, White Horse on Whitehouse Common Road, Sutton Coldfield. Nobody in there when we arrived, barman was setting up a part of the pub that was closed off for a reservation. He came to the bar after a few minutes. We got our drinks and found a table. Decided to order food as they had a small eaters menu. Table, menus and chairs all dirty and sticky. Ordered our meal and paid, gave table number and was told we would have to move as said ours was reserved, no sign on though. When our food arrived it was on cold plates, the veg was cold and the chicken luke warm, chips very hot. Spoke to our server Deena? and she bought us a fresh meal with a smile. Wish we hadn’t bothered, veg still cold and chicken very rubbery and luke warm again and a lot less chips. Will not be recommending.
Amazing food Popped in for a quick drink and snack
Popped in for a quick drink and snack. Black Sheep beer excellent as always. Decided on ‘small plate” has salt & pepper squid, mango and lime chicken tacos, and sweet chilli chicken bao buns - they were all so tasty and amazing. Staff friendly to us northerners.

Terrible service waited 45 minutes for food, after 30 minutes I enquired about it and the manager (assumed she was) said “well I told everyone I served”, I ordered by the app where there was no notice. One of our parties food came out straight away and there was no confirmation of the wait time there.
Just really poor and the food was awful after that wait of over 35 minutes. I order mac n cheese with bacon bits, I’m pretty sure the used a tin of Heinz mac n cheese, topped it with more cheese and cut a piece of bacon into quarters. Even tasted like the Heinz tinned version.
Female manager was arguing with her staff “effing and jeffing” behind the bar. The couple next to us left and got a refund for their food as they weren’t told on the delay either. Won’t be coming back. Terrible.

We had a fantastic meal. We were a large party of 17, everything was perfect, all the food was served at once, it was all hot, very, very tasty and good value for money.
Harriet looked after us really, really well, as did the rest of the staff.
This is the fourth time we've been for a family occasion, it's brilliant.
I would recommend it to anybody.
Well done and Thank You to All Staff (you are all so HAPPY!)

We took my granddaughter and her friend for dinner at The Freeman’s Arms Ashford TW15. We were a party of four and ordered drinks at 5.45pm. At 6.15pm we ordered and paid for our food, but fish was not available so two of us ordered a burger instead. Bad start! At approximately 6.50pm my son enquired about our food and was told there had been an issue with the orders going through to the kitchen and our order was on it’s way. He overheard another customer being told it would be a one hour wait for food. I enquired at 7.00pm and was told our food was on it’s way but one of our two starters was not available. My son hastily ordered chicken wings instead, this while a member of kitchen staff was at our table saying ‘the buffalo cauliflower isn’t available so order something else’ - with no apology. The two starters were mediocre at best with the salt and chilli squid arriving, 6 pieces in a container with nothing in the way of garnish, and badly needing salt. The wings were no better.
At 7.55pm I returned to the bar and asked for a refund so we could find somewhere else to eat as we were, by then, very hungry. Our food suddenly appeared as I was being informed we could ‘enjoy’ our food and receive a refund. Enjoy??? The children were ravenous and ate their hunter’s chicken with enthusiasm but our burgers were awful. Dry, no flavour, just awful to the point of inedible.
Never again! When I asked for contact details for the manager I was told to complain to Green King. Clearly local managers are not held to account for the day-to-day running of their premises or the satisfaction of their customers. In fairness the two staff on duty were working their butts off, and I felt for them, but they didn’t inform us of the problem and it took some considerable time to get an apology. Truly, NEVER AGAIN!
Voucher to entice you back which you cannot use!
Voucher for a free drink so booked up to go back for a meal. When I went to claim my free drink I was told the choice - not one of them was a soft drink. I was told that I could have a non-alcoholic gin with lemonade or tonic and so I asked just for the lemonade as I hate gin. I was told that I could not just have lemonade as the voucher would not go through. I was driving and do not drink anyhow so the voucher was useless. I feel cheated.

Phantom Winger Broughton..good value for money
Phantom Winger Broughton, Preston visited for lunch yesterday and it was certainly very good value for money. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the food was decent quality with impressive portion sizes! The only downside was that the fries could have been hotter but to be fair, when we mentioned it the staff were very apologetic and offered to immediately replace…..a decent response to a customer comment I think.
Gingerbread Man, Market Drayton
A passing thru visit to the Gingerbread Man pub, Market Drayton with family was found to be very pleasant.
Food was a little slow as so quiet but on the plus side it was freshly cooked.
Nice seating, lovely facilities, helpful staff, with Kim being a friendly asset to your business 👍😁
Farmhouse Exmouth
Tasty and well priced food! Excellent service and so quick! The staff were absolutely fantastic as well when a member of our party was taken ill - thanks especially to Mickey who found colouring to keep our little ones occupied and checked up on us regularly. We really appreciate it.
My 65th Birthday dinner
My best friend took me out for a 65th birthday dinner last evening to Fromebridge when we arrived I asked for the allergen menu. It's all online they said, my friend and I searched and could find no allergen listings. So we asked the flustered lady who had many tables to see too. She went to fetch the allergen notepad, oh dear the battery had run out and she had no way of letting me know. Of course no one though about plugging in the notepad and looking. Then she went to get the paper copy, yes she was trying, but Green King should have been on top of this as allergens are important when they make people poorly. The paper copy came in several littered pieces of paper not in any order, so she kept repeating she could not advise me again and again. How can a big pub chain be so backward it took us 25 minutes of sheer agony waiting for them to try and find something, in the meantime the said waitress was still waiting tables showing new customers to tables and I was sat waiting as she said she had not forgotten me and was still looking. I walked out went up the road to another chain and was served immediately with scrumptious food that did not poison me all in 15 minutes of our arrival no problems with ordering at all. Shame on you Green King for not having the correct allergen procedures in place, even the waiting staff were clueless.

Ordered full English breakfast £6.29 egg was cold toast must have been left over from morning service no sausage even though it was supposed to come with breakfast when ìt eventually turned up it must have been cooked by chef Mic tomato was mushy beans slightly warm only decent item on the plate was hash browns TOTAL WASTE of money also ordered cappuccino which when it came it looked and tasted like a cheap brand instant coffee

during our recent visit to blackpool we chose the washington for our meal after waiting 45 minutes
for our order i made enquires and was told it would
comimg soon ten minutes later it arrived the all day breakfast looked as if it had been lying around (dryed
up) we were in a hurry by now or it would have ben sent back the staff appeared not to care best avoid
this place in future go somewhere else money wasted
Lunch at The Rising Sun…
Went for lunch at The Rising Sun Cheltenham service was very poor. Food not ordered correctly as he wasn't listening. When it arrived the steak was undercooked and cold, full of grisle and unedible. The salad was a full avocado with lettuce on top and 2 cherry tomatoes. £13.35 for that.
Had to get my own condiments and cutlery as non out.
Complained to manager he did give us free dessert. The creme brulee was just runny custard.
Overall would never eat here again.
