GreenThumb Lawn Treatment Service Avis 

Excellent service. My grass is looking amazing after a few months. However I’d like a professional cut and edge up, and as they advertise, I asked green thumb. But was bluntly told they don’t offer it and have no intention to offer it. But the company offers it? Other than that it’s been great.

Chris from the Bath branch turned up as scheduled, put down the fertiliser and followed up with weed spray, as a precaution, due to some rain weeds were awakening. Nice chap . Thanks a lot.

Been with greenthumb for 2 years and my lawn hasn’t improved at all in fact it now looks worse than ever. Singed up for a full year package and was given a “summer ready” treatment at the end of July in the middle of a hosepipe ban which was over 5 months after the previous treatment (during the key months for grass growth). This was of course far too late to have any impact as the ground was rock solid. The company blamed the treatment timing on the unusually high rainfall, which hasn’t been high since February(!) and expect payment as usual. Extremely disappointing service.

James came today to give our lawn the scheduled fertiliser (NutraGreen) treatment. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and after thoroughly checking the condition on the lawn (for Leatherjackets etc) was able to make helpful and constructive suggestions about how to bring the lawn back to condition after the drought.

We have been Green Thumb customers since they first started in Sheffield & have had the same operator for several years & have no concerns regarding his work, advice etc.
But we have noticed that the timings of weed application has changed & for the first time in many years we have weeds growing in our lawn the past 2 years.
We paid to have our drive etc cleaned & treated for a year, very pleased with outcome but it does not require cleaning every year! Without any consultation this service was arranged to carry on. We understood that we had signed up for a year not YEARLY!
We feel since Green Thumb has been taken over by a bigger company it has lost much of its personal service & certainly doesn’t do as good a job as it used to.

Absolute brilliant the service provided by Dan Gregory of the Gravesend Branch, As well as treating my lawn with the summer long treatment, Dan made time to discuss the science of maintaining a good lawn throughout the year and give recommendations, such a knowledgeable & enthusiastic person is a credit to the industry,

First time visit from K.Attword ( Cheltenham branch) good friendly service listened to my questions and answered them, good product knowledge, thanks

Very knowledgeable lawn operators , explaining all the the process details very well. Excellent communication and happy to answer all my questions. Very efficient and prompt services
Both Rob and Neil will be returning again to asses seed establishment progress. Also following up with regular treatment plans going forward.

Operatives seem knowledgeable; although 2026 has been a challenging year for all concerned given the weather.

My local franchise (Weald in Kent) was taken over last year and the service, knowledge and approach has collapsed. It appears more important for GT to now sell its customers every other additional service, (patio washing, window cleaning etc..) than actually take care of lawns ! My "Summer Ready" treatment took place at the end of July, following scarification which was undertaken far too late. I have recently sacked them.

Very efficient and gives advise on next action to be taken.

Dan Gregory was extremely informative after he discovered leather jackets in the lawn.He explained what they were and the treatment that was needed and booked us in for that treatment.

I cancelled my direct debit with Green Thumb and prior to that cancelled my agreement with them. The reason being that the lawn has never been so bad with weeds etc. Also they scarified the lawn but said their scarifier was not able to do the slight rise at the rear of the garden even though this has been done by the GT franchise for years, I called to say I was cancelling our account with them and the direct debit and have confirmation from my bank to that effect. Despite this they are chasing for money I do not owe as I cancelled them.
I also have POA for another property and cancelled that too.
Since becoming corporate they have been useless,we had no problem at all with then when it was a franchise.
I cannot recommends this company now in any way.

Chris Dequidt from the Bath Branch Office recently undertook the oasis lawn care treatment for us here in our Grade 1 listed property and did a really good job ensuring that coverage was given to the whole lawn.

On time, good job, as expected !
