Andy, our GreenThumb operative, gave expert advice to treat the lawns after the severe drought. As rain was due he recommended the Oasis Treatment (& rain did follow within hours!).
He recommended Hard Surface Cleaner & quoted accordingly.

We always look forward to Andy’s visit from the Torbay branch. Since he has been our regular operative we have had friendly, reliable and efficient service. He always gives good advice and I’m sure our lawn is better for it. We have been with Green Thumb for a number of years now and he is without doubt the best we’ve had. We value the stability that having a regular operative provides.

Chris from the Bath branch is always friendly and helpful. He has given me great advice and is a pleasure to have around.

This is the most unprofessional company I have been dealing with for some time. It took weeks to get a response trying to arrange a visit to plan the work. Then I received an appointment out of the blue without confirming availability. When we accepted this and went out of our way to be at home (taking half a day off work), the person did not turn up. Calling the office we were told someone would call us, which again didn't happen. Stay away from this company!

I am updating my review because I think it is only fair to recognise when a company steps up and puts things right.
Ten days ago, GreenThumb mistakenly attended our property while we were away and applied fertiliser prills to our lawn. We only became aware of what was happening because our CCTV and doorbell cameras alerted us. The problem was that we have an organically maintained garden and, more importantly, our hens normally free range on the lawn.
As soon as we discovered what had happened, we had to confine our hens to their enclosure while we established exactly what product had been applied and whether it was safe for them. The manufacturer subsequently confirmed that the orange prills could remain visible for months and acknowledged that their colour could be attractive to hens.
My original one-star review was primarily because I was extremely frustrated by what I felt was a lack of urgency and communication from GreenThumb's head office. We were struggling to get information and, understandably, I was very worried about our hens being confined for an extended period.

However, I now want to specifically praise Zoe, the Area Manager for GreenThumb Dundee, for the way she has taken responsibility and dealt with the situation.
Zoe has been absolutely brilliant.
She has shown genuine empathy and understanding about how important our hens are to us and, rather than simply passing the problem on, she has taken ownership and made sure something was actually done.
Yesterday, nine days after the original incident, Zoe spent around four hours on her hands and knees using the attachment to remove the prills from the areas the machine couldn't reach. She then returned today to finish the job.
That level of personal commitment deserves recognition.
Mistakes can happen. What matters is how you deal with them afterwards, and Zoe has demonstrated exactly what I would expect from someone taking responsibility for a serious customer issue. She has been kind, empathetic, practical and determined to put things right.
As a result of Zoe's handling of the situation, I am removing my original one-star review.
This review is therefore a reflection of the way Zoe and the Dundee branch have handled the mess that was left by the original mistake. I genuinely couldn't have asked for more from Zoe personally.

I do, however, hope that GreenThumb's head office looks carefully at how this incident was initially handled. The lack of urgency and communication at that level caused unnecessary stress and frustration, particularly when animals were involved. That is something I believe the company needs to address going forward.
But Zoe, thank you - you took responsibility, you listened, you understood why this mattered so much to us, and you personally went above and beyond to put it right.

That deserves five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The GreenThumb operative, Glyn, has attended several times to treat my lawn. He is punctual, friendly, helpful and gives excellent advice re lawn maintenance. He is a credit to GreenThumb.

Tony explained what the lawn care treatment was and how to get the best out of the treatment. He said that oasis improves water retention and resilience.He is polite and very professional.

The green thumb team advised us well before they were going to treat the lawn and they treated the grass and advised on further action we could take. We went ahead and booked the treatment.

GreenThumb's products and operatives "just work". After I moved in to my present address the lawn went from 90% daisies and 8% other weeds to 99% grass after just two or three applications. Their path weeds treatment a few months ago was brilliant, using a product you can't buy in garden centres, and cleared all of the weeds, which have not returned.

Weve had James a few times now to do our treatments for our lawn. He is always very pleasant & always explains what work he is going to be doing. Provides alternatives to improving the lawn with no pressure.

Jordan was professional, friendly and efficient. He was also able to answer all our queries about our lawn.

My lawn is always better than my neighbours. This year's heatwave has left it parched, but I trust James and Green Thumb to restore it to its former glory

Someone came a few days ago second treatment. Did half of the grass both front and back as quick as they could and went. Not spread it all over. Waste of money. I'll learn myself on YouTube. I have cctv as well.

Green thumb has been fantastic since I first started using them,I wish I had known about them earlier.

Great service from Greenthumb. Have had a couple of treatments now and my lawn is beginning to thrive. Particularly personable member of the team (Robbie) who was both courteous and professional.

Paid £460 for a lawn recover treatment back in April, the my grass is worse than it has have ever been and this was before the recent weather we have had. Had the manager out rom the Maidstone branch end of june confirming it had failed and he would report this back to management as I ask for some compensation which I think in a no brainer as I watered every night for a couple of months as advised, my time as I was doing work to the lawn which green thumb should have been doing as I pay a monthly subscription. Multiple phone calls asking to speak to someone in management but never get a call back, blaming the weather even though the job was done back in April and in my area we dont currently have a hosepipe ban so if the lawn was green and not a patchy mess I would have continued to water. I can not comment on over branches around the country but my experience is terrible. Also telling me they will come back and do it for free when I have already paid for the service. I am going to have to prep the garden again for when they return in October, use more of my own expense (water) and time. Shocking service
