I can’t recommend the Middlesbrough branch enough! The customer service i receive every time i am in there is second to none! I am often served by Rebecca & Julie & they are both truly amazing as are the rest of their team. Forever grateful for all the services they offer & i will definitely continue to return, always! Was in Duke street branch been using now for 6 years, wouldn't go anywhere else, the girls are so very friendly , make you feel comfortable, always have good laugh with them, thanks ladies

The staffs are star and helpful when the time is needed. You need extra money for holiday or else if you have gold you can cash in have more enough time to get it back with low interest. Definitely I would come back for it if I need some cash.

Even though I took a lot of different bits of silver jewellery which took up a good amount of time ( nearly 2 hrs!) , unfortunately a small portion of pieces turned out to be fake (but was all properly tested in front of me so no problem there at all, I had already weighed each separate piece so knew what was what with them, but also I know what shows as fake with the acid testing as I used to work doing the same thing) the gentleman named Joe who dealt with me at the canton Cardiff branch was very patient and friendly and gave me the weights and price for each single piece. Very happy with the service and got a good price for all the bits I sold.

I have been a regular customer at the Kilburn branch (opposite Tesco) for four years, but their recent behavior has been completely unacceptable.
​I recently used a full sovereign coin for a loan. I was explicitly told it would not be tested, as it is a full sovereign and they had tested it on multiple previous visits. Despite this, they tested it anyway and left deep scratches on both sides of the coin. When I confronted the staff, they were dismissive. I have audio recordings of them stating, "Maybe we forgot to tell you we tested it, you should know you've been in here before."
​They refused to help and sent me to a larger branch to speak to a manager. That manager initially tried to claim the damage was just "dirt" and attempted to polish it off. When she failed, she admitted it was a scratch and confirmed it shouldn't have happened, as they are supposed to test on the side of the coin. She apologized but claimed she had no power to resolve the issue in-store. I have this conversation on audio recording as well.
​I sent a formal email complaint with before and after pictures of my coin on the 26th of August. I have been completely ignored. I expect either a full refund of the loan or an exact replacement of my full sovereign.
​I am highly concerned that this property damage and sudden lack of customer care is retaliation. These issues only started after I recently escalated a separate complaint against this exact branch to the Financial Ombudsman because they refused to honor my 14-day right to withdraw. Just like that previous complaint, I fully expect them to reply to this review asking for "further details" to look good publicly, only to never actually respond to me or resolve the issue privately.
​Do not trust this branch with your valuables. They will damage your property, refuse to take accountability, and ignore your legal rights. I have had over 20 pawn agreements with them and never had a problem until I tried to use my 14 days right to withdraw and they refused and said I would be banned if I did I would also like to note that the staff promised to have the manger call or set a meeting with me and never did I had to go up there I'm a 64 year old woman and find this behaviour unacceptable do not trust them with you vaulabes the store was 63 Kilburn High Rd, London NW6 5SA I now use a different branch of h & t and everything is returned in the same condition I left it I recently pawned a half Sovereign and asked them not to test it and then used my 14 days right to withdraw without any problem

Bought an Omega watch online. The watch was very competitively priced coming with box and papers. It appears that there was a problem with the couriers and the watch wasn’t collected for over a week, but once it arrived, it was exactly as described and excellent value. Would definitely use again.
