Recently purchased our first home in West Yorkshire, from the start both Caroline and Nat were very helpful and informative, always gave us information when we asked for it in a timely manner and went above and beyond. Very thorough communication throughout and always kept us up to date as best they could.

This review is only about Customer Care. I’ve been speaking to Caroline and she has been fantastic- responsive, helpful, and efficient. The team who have come out to fix a number of issues - John & Michael - are brilliant. Again, they are helpful and friendly, and absolutely know their stuff; from brick work to roof tiles.
Whilst the buying part of the process was less than smooth - and I had a massive snagging list when I moved in - the aftercare is really exceptional and the customer care team deserve a lot of credit for putting things right and even improving them. They are also full of great advice and guidance, and are a pleasure to see turn up!

However, having left the site ten months ago will the estate ever be finished. We have poorly finished roads and path, a play area still fenced off, dead planted areas, a woodland path so uneven and slippy it is dangerous, fences that are not straight and ridiculous things like gates at the entrance to unfinished play area that isn’t big enough for a double buggy.
The simple fact is once they have your money Harron don’t care. We were advised June 25 the estate would be completed in 10 weeks, 20 months later……..
My experience with Natalie while buying my house from harron homes was nothing but exceptional. It was my first home and I had no idea whatsoever of the process but she was kind and patient, explaining everything for me. She went above and beyond to support me the whole process. About the building itself cannot say much as I just moved in few weeks ago.

Recently completed our forever home at castle gardens pontefract. From 1st meeting Natalie she was informative but most of all understanding to my situation. She guided myself through the process not only professionally but with care too. Took time to answer any calls and always available to help me with my many questions. My home is perfect in every way and can’t thank Natalie enough for her help and guidance throughout the process. Thank you would recommend Harron homes at Castle Gardens Pontefract

My husband and I are so excited to be able to say that we have today reserved our plot at the Simpson Park estate.
We have been keeping a close eye on this plot as it is our ideal house and Michelle Downs has been an absolutely amazing help and so supportive in keeping us up to date with the progress of it.
She has been tirelessly patient with all of our endless questions and has made us feel really valued. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
House buying can be so stressful but I am really comfortable and confident that Michelle will be there for us every step of the way and we can’t wait now until our moving day!

Please don’t give them your money......
Another update at month 31. Are we now snag free? Nope. Do Harron ignore all calls and emails? Yes. Am I about to get the solicitors in action again? Yes. Would I recommend Harron Homes to my worst enemy? No. Do Harron Homes care that they are the worst house builders on the planet? No. Are they at all concerned by the thousands of complaints they get? No. Why are people still handing over their cash to Harron? Either haven't read these reviews or need more screws tightening than a Harron Home.
I will keep you all updated until matters are resolved.
Well I just thought I'd update you now I have lived in the house for 25 months.
Is all the snagging done? No. Do any of the directors at Harron care? No. Have we still got a snagging list 2 pages long? Yes. Are there still things outstanding on the snagging list from before we moved in? Yes. Has my opinion of Harron changed in any way from leaving this review? No. Do I stand by everything I said in this review and strongly advise anyone thinking of giving Harron their cash not to? ABSOLUTELY!
Sad to say I agree. Wish I had pulled out 2 weeks before completion as I threatened to do. I only found bad reviews from a couple of years ago when we reserved so thought they had sorted themselves out but sadly not and sadly I missed this site otherwise I would have cancelled sale. Lots of promises no action. Our house was built in August we agreed to buy in September had lots of snagging moved in December and snagging list three times size it was before we moved in but nothing resolved just promises and the work that has been done usually makes matters worse a tactic I am starting to believe they encourage. Can’t believe I was duped by the 2 sues selling the place. I worked in sales for years and was very good that was because I only sold products I trusted these two must have worked in timeshare making all the right noises but ultimately utter bs and couldn’t care less. Please believe me when I say do yourself a favour and pull out now if you are buying a Harron home I think this goes for all sites but my experience is purely with Edenbrook vale at Pontefract. If you are considering moving up here have a word with Haworth associates ask if you can pitch a tent on some scrub land for £50 then sit back and look smug at all us people who have spent a quarter to half a million pounds on a pit stack!
Harron homes you make me laugh. Putting on here don't know who I am. I have spoke to more managers had more builders and you've broken more promises than I would have ever thought possible. We have been in our house 10 and a half months and is it all fixed yet? Can we enjoy the thousands of pounds we spent on our home? Will you ever become reputable and honest and do what you say you are going to? The answer to all those questions is no because your a bunch of cowboys who don't care once you take our money!
Well nearly 13 months in now and emails to the directors again generated the oh dear reply we will pass you on to our senior complaints team and as usual nothing else happens. It was funny to read in the email that there had been a few staff changes and some emails had changed. I'm not surprised if they treat there staff like there customers there bound to leave. When will this company realise that the only way to be a reputable honest company and gain gain a good reputation is by being honest and fair with its staff and customers. Until that light bulb moment comes we have no hope with these cowboys who once again made it into the media for all the wrong reasons last month!
Me and my wife had a reservation today and Charlotte was wonderful she made us feel welcome and explained everything we needed to no, we are looking forward to moving into our first new home on the lakeside 😀

Alls good for the 1st year or so but after 2 years cracks everywhere, gaps appearing on the stair, plants all die as they can't survive in the clay soil. Houses behind us have had to have their lawns re turfed now flooding several gardens. Reached out many times including the site manager but nothing. Wish you could add pictures on here.
Visited the same Harron Homes site a few times after seeing a house we was interested in. A lady called Sylvia was very friendly and helpful, listened and got answers to all questions asked. Sylvia is the reason we have our forever home.

5 Star for Carol in Sales, as she has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. From beginning to the moving in date every single thing was perfect.
I have had some issues with some snagging but the team on site seem proactive in fixing the issues. The workmen on site fixing the snagging all seem really pleasant.

Bought a house off Harron back in 2022; the customer service on the whole over the years has been nothing short of disgraceful. Whether it was snagging issues, garage which was left unfinished or continued boiler issues - the urgency to fix and serve the customer was shocking.
The garage came with a huge crack down the middle and was eventually filled in just last summer - 3 years later and the finished article looks horrendous anyway.
Excellent experience from start to finish Harron Homes - Simpson Park.
I have approached several agencies while searching for a house, one of them being Harron Homes.
This review refers to two parts: one is the service and the second is the product itself.
A positive experience from the very beginning entering the office with a warm greeting and receiving professional advice backed by a strong team. My situation was more delicate, but the Harron Homes team gave me strong confidence that I was in good hands. They guided me through each step, making a clear path of what to expect, and answered all my queries in a professional manner. I never thought it could be so supportive in such a big life decision.
About the team starting from the first contact to the professional staff dealing with documentation, and offering contacts to brokers and a solicitor who really did their job well. It felt like they were working together, with a seamless transition from one step to another, finally reaching another milestone for a happy family (MY FAMILY).
The second part, which is not less important, is the quality of the product. Saing that “nothing is perfect in this world,” but the house is built to a high standard and offers a great balance between price and needs. I am absolutely happy with the quality level of the house I cannot say much that is bad, only that it is a pleasure to speak positively about it.
Not less important is the aftersales care, which offered to rectify reasonable defects. These were indeed repaired or changed without hassle, and I didn’t have to chase for updates. I cannot comment on the long term yet, but from my experience so far, it looks like this company is built upon professionalism.
From my side, a big thank you to the whole team at Harron Homes, especially Michelle, who made this dream come true.

Although we did not buy a property from Harron homes we did visit multiple branches while looking for a new property. At the York Vale Gardens Nicola was incredible! She was friendly, informative and made us feel welcome.

If there had been a zero rating for Harron Homes, that would have been my review.
I strongly advise you to steer clear of them due to their inflated prices and ratings. Beneath all those falsehoods lies a group of crooks who are merely looking to get you to pay up and move in, only to move on to the next vulnerable individual once you are settled.
I bought my house and moved in December 2024, and during the inspection, we discovered a significant issue with the main bathroom. We notified them right away, and they instructed us not to use it, assuring us it would be addressed promptly.
However, all I have received are lies and blame-shifting between customer service and site managers.
It has now been 15 MONTHS, and we still cannot use our family bathroom, leaving my entire family of five to rely on our en-suite.
I have called, emailed, and expressed my frustrations, yet all I hear is apologies for the delay and that they are looking into it.
Another excuse they frequently use is, 'Sorry, some people left the business, which could be the reason for the delay.'
I am currently seeking legal counsel, and my bathroom is not the only problem. There are numerous defects in my house that have been overlooked. All they care about is getting that money in the bank, leaving you with unresolved issues.
If you want to avoid a disaster, save yourself the trouble and find a better builder.
AVOID, AVOID, AND AVOID!!!!
All the customers at my site, RIVERDALE PARK DONCASTER, are facing issues, some of which have persisted for over two years. AVOID them and protect your money for a more reliable builder.

We have met with quite a number of Harron Homes’ Staff and they have been friendly. We met Sylvia at the Holmewood office last year and she has given us a memorable experience. She is so professional and good at what she does. The way she celebrate our wins and how she handles and presents issues when we feel disappointed. She didn’t just show us how to get our first house. We dealt with Charlotte at Shipley Lakeside, and whilst we have decided to look elsewhere to be closer to family, we really wish we were buying from her as she was so lovely and helpful during our visits. She put us in touch with a mortgage advisor who we really like as well, so she's still helping us in our first time home buying experience. Would definitely recommend looking at these houses if it's a good area for you as Charlotte is wonderful and so helpful, and the area is fantastic!
