£260 spent, no fix
I had a good experience getting MOT at this garage, so went back when I decided to try and get the car's air conditioning fixed which had been broken for years. I mentioned this fact to the staff member I dealt with, and that it was an old car so I wasn't even sure the air con could be fixed, as I didn't want to spend the £90 he quoted me to take a look at it if it was likely unfixable or would cost a bomb. He then said, and I quote, 'we can definitely fix it' and that the cost would just depend on what the issue was. I decided this was worth finding out at least, so said go ahead. They called me later saying it would cost 170 to fix, including ordered parts, and if there were any issues after that I could take the car back and they'd look again free of charge. I said OK, and when I collected it everything worked fine. A couple of weeks later, it stopped working, so I took the car back in. They did indeed look free of charge, but discovered that a new problem was occuring that required parts which are no longer manufactured, so it was indeed unfixable. I asked for a partial refund of the £260 I'd spent in total, since I never would have done so if I'd thought there was a chance it was unfixable i.e. had the staff member not assured me that it was 'definitely' fixable. Perhaps I should have questioned this since it was before he'd even looked at it, but he knew the make, model, and age of the car at this point and I'm no mechanic so I trusted him. It was the same staff member telling me now it was unfixable, and that he couldn't offer a partial refund because he 'would never say' something was definitely fixable. We argued for a bit but it was clearly pointless. When I went to pick up the car I asked again if he'd reconsidered. He said no, and apologised 'if [I] heard that'. I know what I heard because, as I said, I wouldn't have agreed to pay that much otherwise. But he wouldn't be swayed. A nominal good-faith refund of a few quid and a real apology would have been an easy solution, and definitely not a stretch for a business of this size, but when I told this (long-serving) staff member that losing my business and getting a bad review would be the alternative, he said 'that's fine'. They do not value your business as they have plenty of customers to move on to. Don't be one of them.
Update: their reply again denies that the staff member said what he did. Their reasons given make total sense, for why he shouldn't have said it - I was and am fully aware of them - which is why I remember it so clearly and why I take such umbrage at what consequently happened, including their denial. Why would I take the trouble to lie when they've already refused any refund? What do I stand to gain? Why would I try to warn customers about something that didn't even happen? Their inability to acknowledge a mistake, and recognise what is due a customer when that mistake costs the customer so much yet would not cost the business much to redress (in a partial refund or even just an acknowledgement and apology) is serious cause for concern.

Outstanding service—friendly
Outstanding service—friendly, efficient, and hassle-free. I had my tyres checked at no cost, and the whole process was quick and straightforward. Getting the information I needed and having the work done couldn’t have been easier.

I have used Harrow Service Centre (HSC) for decades and will continue to do so.
The Centre has carried out my M.o.T's and Servicing throughout the years and have always provided me a car that I am confident and safe to drive.
The team at HSC, be it face-to-face or by telephone or email, have dealt with my queries/questions quickly, politely and professionally.
Over the years HSC has grown into what they are, through their expertise, commitment to progress and development and not least, in their customer first attitude.
Getting it right first time, every time, is ingrained in the individuals who work there and, the team as a whole, make HSC a first class company.
I cannot rate HSC highly enough.

Great job
Dropped my car off so they could investigate where the squeaking noise was coming from. They phoned next day to tell me what was wrong, the parts needed to fix it, together with their cost and labour cost and left it up to me to decide whether to proceed as the parts were quite expensive. Anyway, I did proceed and the car runs quieter now than it’s ever been and they also cleaned it inside & out. Great job.

A great service garage to you
Harrow Service Centre always do a great job servicing my car and doing the MOT. They always explain clearly the work that needs to be done, complete the work quickly and I get my car back cleaned as well. I would definitely recommend them.

Booked my car today for MOT-phoned at…
Booked my car today for MOT-phoned at 9:10 and dropped car round 30 minutes later. MOT was completed 45 minutes after that.
Amazing service-professional, helpful and friendly, even offered to move the car if I needed help getting out. Gave a little plastic wallet (& air freshener) to file MOT paperwork -nice touch and good advertising!
Would totally recommend them, it’s a gem of a business.

MOT on Sunday
I booked my MOT with them and everything was great! As soon as I arrived they took my car in. For me was very important that they working on Sunday! I truly recommend them!

Trustworthy
I have been a customer of the harrow service centre for many years and I find them responsive, helpful, reasonably priced and the do a good job. If you are looking for a good garage who are polite, answer emails who will never rip you off then I would recommend them.

I went for an MOT
I went for an MOT, told it would take 1 hour. It in fact took 15 minutes. Very efficient.

Seen with-in hours and sorted the issue. A1 service
I had an error message on my BMW 8 Series. BMW service centre could not have the car for a week and suggested I needed to leave it woth them for 2 says.
After rining HSC they took the car in and sorted out the error message, replaced and serviced all that was needed, handed the car back same day.
HSC has always been great, highly recommend.
