Harvey Norman Ireland - Fonthill Avis 

I’ve had multiple awful experiences with Harvey Norman in FontHill. First, we ordered a bed, and although there was a delivery mix-up, they resolved it quickly. However, we also ordered a side table, and it broke during assembly. We have built countless pieces of furniture from places like IKEA and JYSK, and never once had something break. When we raised the issue, they were very reluctant to issue a refund or replacement, even though it was clearly an issue with the instructions in the manual. The second bed was severely delayed and arrived missing crucial parts. After assembly, one of the floorboard pieces was broken. They eventually rectified it after a couple of days, but not once was it a smooth process. And the worst part was when we bought an iPad Air—we were shown the new M4 model on display. We asked for that model with a higher storage, and we were standing right in front of the display unit. If they only had the older M3 model in stock, it was their responsibility to inform us. Instead, the staff never apologized and just brushed us off. This was the worst service we’ve ever encountered. If you have a product on display but don’t have it in stock, you must inform customers before purchase. This is basic sales etiquette.

I bought a floor model fridge freezer and it was taken from the showroom and extremely well wrapped for the journey to my home. The Two delivery men were extremely professional and helpful. I thought I had an issue with the fridge freezer and rang Harvey norman Fonthill and Brendan who answered the call was brilliant, problem resolved .

I placed my order in the last week of January (around 30th January) and was promised delivery by the first or second week of March at the latest. Based on this assurance, I moved to my new place on 7th March but unfortunately I had to sleep on the floor for next 1 month. What followed was nothing but constant delays, false assurances, and complete lack of accountability.
Despite repeated calls and even visiting the store in person, no one could provide a clear or honest delivery timeline. Every interaction felt like I was being misled just to keep me waiting.
After several follow-ups, I was finally told the order would be delivered on 3rd /4th April. I specifically questioned this, as it was around Good Friday, and asked for confirmation. I was confidently assured that it would not be an issue and that delivery would definitely happen before Easter.
That turned out to be completely false.
The order was only delivered on 7th April which is over a month later than promised. This level of delay, combined with the repeated misinformation, is completely unacceptable.
The entire experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. The product itself is okay but nothing exceptional and certainly not worth the hassle or the wait.
I will never shop from HarveyNorman again and will never advise others to shop from here.

My experience with Harvey Norman was brilliant , my move in date kept changing so I had to change the delivery date a few times and it was never any problem, furniture came and unpacked , put together in no time and no mess the guys were great ! Thanks a million

Delivery incomplete, have to go collect tv personally. Washing machine abandoned in sitting room. Dryer door needed to be reversed. Harvey Norman declined to rectify this, so I had to get AEG to oblige. Couldn’t recommend them.

My experience of buying online was terrible because the store near my home did not have my product, I got a call from someone in the store saying my product was there, and I went to collect the kettle and the toaster and only the toasted was available, I asked to deliver it to my home and they say it will be charged, I asked to change to another kettle and they said I need to pay the difference, a only option I had was wait for the keetle, I went 3 times in the store and always I left frustrated. I will think 100 times before buy online in harver nornan.

Bought a table and chairs , the bench was faulty and that was replaced ,but again it was faulty . Found one of the chairs had a big chip out of the under neat . Rang harvey norman fonthill where it was bought and told to send pictures in and they would get back to me , a week later and still no call . Rang again and got some manager on the furniture section to be greeted with , whats the story and your problem , like he was talking with one of his friends

Machine was delivered within 2 days of ordering. The guys delivering were nice and friendly and had the old machine removed and new one installed in about 10 mins or so.

We had a wonderful experience with the Harvey Norman team. We were so impressed with the staff in store and our delivery agent Frankie was excellent. He called on the delivery day and specified a delivery time and he kept us updated as he was running slightly late. He was efficient, courteous and so capable. We are delighted with our bunk beds. I went in to the Fonthill Harvey Norman store very unsure of what sort of bed or mattress I needed. Thankfully I met Neha and she went through all my options gently and slow enough so that I could take in all the information. She was most kind and took my feedback to her recommendations onboard and really pinpointed what exactly I needed. I’ve just left the store on my second visit, thankfully met Neha again, and have happily purchased my fantastic new bed!
I just love when you meet the right sales people, especially when spending a considerable amount of money. Excellent experience!
