Your motorcycle will be moved using a specialty shipping system designed and tested to protect against damage and wear. The bike finally arrived

The bike finally arrived, covered in dirt, 13 days after the target delivery date. Very little, to no communication that the bike was delayed and sitting in a warehouse for 2 weeks in Las Vegas.

Personnel were great, shipping times took forever.

All personnel I dealt with at Haulbikes were great. It just took forever to receive my bike. Haulbikes is upfront on their timeframe, which helped.

I would still consider Haulbikes next time but would most likely lean toward an independent transport contractor.

Scheduling is hit or miss

Scheduling is hit or miss. If they have a truck going in your direction. Communication could be better.
I have shipped with HaulBikes a few times before and had no problems. You must be getting too much corporate work that you care less about the individual.

Would have been better with more communication

I was excited to ship with Haul Bikes because it sounded like a great option for us. We did get the Harley shipped and the drivers were communicative and took good care of it. Also, the price was good.
I gave this experience 3 stars because of the delays and lack of communication while we waited.
We decided to pay with a check, which meant we had to wait for the mailed check to arrive, be processed, and then clear before we could reserve our shipment. While I understand this procedure, I do think they could have put us on the list or something to cut down the wait time. I agreed to this, however, and am not complaining about the policy. My complaint is that after the check had cleared our bank, we did not hear from anyone at Haul Bikes. I had to call them and they told me it was still processing. After I pushed, they reached back out and got us scheduled. We had to wait a month for pick up and another 40 days for delivery. That seems excessive to me, but what is more frustrating than the waiting, it the lack of communication. I would have appreciated a weekly or even every other week update from HaulBikes letting me know that they were still working on our order. But I had to reach out to them and it felt like they would have forgotten about us had I not.
Delivery was rough because the driver couldn't make it into the neighborhood and ended up meeting our guy a mile away. He didn't know there was no battery, so he had to push the bike a mile to get it home. It would have been good for the driver to have the information regarding the battery to communicate that to the pick up person. I don't fault HaulBikes for this, I am just sharing as feedback that may help others. When setting up the delivery, it never entered my mind that they wouldn't be able to meet a short distance away if getting onto the residential street was a problem.
If we work with HaulBikes and any vehicle delivery service in the future, I will be more aware of the limitations and decide on a pickup/drop off that is accessible for the huge truck ahead of time.

Too many pick up dates

Too many pick up dates, too many drop off dates. Lack of information, if I didn’t keep calling I wasn’t gonna be informed of all the shipping changes. Lack of communication

Sioux Falls SD to Newcastle, OK

I'm the bike owner, and wasn't present at either the Siux Falls SD pickup or Newcastle. OK dropoff locations, but it sounds like the interactions with your driver went very smoothly, and the logistics aspects went great.

Communications regarding pickup departure and dropoff departure were right on, and the pricing also was a pleasant surprise; I'd expected to pay closer to $1,000 for the transport.

Terrible Customer Service

When I called for an update after my expected delivery date had passed I was told no one could locate my bike and I would receive an update later in the day. It took 4 days to get a response email after I asked for a call back just to be told it was in route. After several more weeks of me emailing with no response i was finally able to get ahold of someone on the phone and was told it will be there next week. The morning of the delivery that I still had not been contacted for the driver called and gave me a 20 minute heads up which also happened to be a holiday. Luckily i was able to meet the driver and get my bike. There needs to be some sort of tracking so at least people can see where their bike is.

Was a horrible experience

Was a horrible experience. The quote was provided and agreed on. The dates provided might as well not have even been on the contract. The contract should say we hope we can pick up your bike and deliver it in the next 6 months. Haul bikes was given a months notice of the available pick up date. They said it would be picked up in a 3 day window. They were 10 plus days late on pick up. And as far as delivery it was suppose to be April 20th. Here we are May 26th. And they gave me 1 day notice that is would be delivered to the dealer on a Holliday weekend when the dealer is closed on a Sunday and Monday. Great JOB....NOT. I'm on vacation and didn't even get to inspect the bike for damage because they delivered it so far after the original date I wasn't able to be around to receive the delivery.

Use another transport company

2+ months to get my bike picked up and delivered. Communication was poor, pick up date was later than promised, delivery date was a month over expected delivery date. Paid a premium to get my bike here as a buyer was lined up. This bike sat at a holding station for a month with no communication until I asked what was going on and she couldn’t tell me why it’s been there sitting for that long. Then, and only then I was told it would be getting transferred to Las Vegas for transport, Money lost, time lost, and the company doesn’t care. No compensation, no answer to any questions, nothing. Andy even told me after all that she would let me know when the bike would leave Las Vegas and when to expect it. Did she? No, the driver did when he was loading the bike up to be transported.

The only good thing was the transport delivery driver named David Patrone. Kept me updated, let me know if anything changed. Unloaded the bike and was professional as can be. Gave me a fist bump and he was in his way. He was the only positive thing that came of this whole ordeal.
