The efficiency of Naomi Lavelle. I was changing the policy provider . For many years my husband and I had a joint policy with Avia . It was a signature policy which was only applicable in Scotland. One of my sons and my grandchildren live in Leeds so I wanted to be covered there when I visited. This did not apply to my a husband. Within a day Naomi organised my husband to stay with Avia and myself to change to AXA. Very impressive . I cannot speak more highly of her.

I had spent a lot of time over past 4-5 years speaking to providers of health insurance, but I would say this most recent experience with The Health Insurance Specialists was possibly the best.
If you have pre existing conditions getting advice and quotes just gets more complicated.
My conclusions on this topic at the moment are:
1) Forget trying to get quotes on comparison web sites. Its too vague.
2) Ensure that you know precisely what is on your GP medical records, because if you make a claim, these records can be investigated.
3) Phone a health insurance broker or company direct, and be prepared be betotally tranparent, ask lots of questions,( what if?). Be prepared to spend time with your research and comparisons.
4) I had never contacted this company before, but this time found a contact at the Health Insurance Specialists, who listened, explained and researched the market to match our health insurance needs, better than any body else previously.
5) As is usually the case there will be compromises between levels of cover and costs, but it is so important to have a crystal clear understanding of what you what your entitlements will provide should you need assistance with health issues.
6) Finally, a huge thank you to (T), at The Health Insurance Specialists, who spent a lot of time dealing with my enquiries, and provided a suitable policy.
