Hannah is amazing! Patient, thorough, quick to respond. I will say that the attorney service was not helpful. Asked her for advice on alimony and it was info I could get on my own and already was familiar with by just searching on Google. Still , overall I think it's a great way to keep divorce costs affordable.

I met with a Real Estate expert who went above in beyond in explaining how property valuation works and important things to consider when looking to assume the mortgage for a property. He shared so much insight and advice that I was able to take important actions in preparing for additional paid consultation with Hello, Divorce.

The process of divorce is overwhelming and complicated. Without HelloDivorce I do not believe we would have figured it out on our own. We ran into several roadblocks from the court, but because we had HelloDivorce, we had someone that was able to give us the correct paperwork and help us navigate through the process.

Pros: TLDR: Pro-plan is sufficient for both spouses.

The paperwork filing services were very helpful. My ex-husband and I chose the pro-plan. He was the one who led the process, but I found that my part of the paperwork was easy enough with our coordinator guiding him through the process. They were quick to file all paperwork and respond to emails and questions in a timely manner.

Cons: TLDR: The mediation and attorney hourly services are a complete waste of money. Hire a real lawyer and mediator.

We did 4 hourly sessions with a mediator through Hello Divorce, but in the end, he was not able to finish or explain our propertizer (which is essential for dividing assets). Our assets were not complicated, and our retirement accounts didn’t even require a QDRO. Because of his inability to help us with this essential step, we had to hire a mediator from a real law firm to help us finish the propertizer and complete our divorce. This was significantly much more expensive than the mediation services through Hello Divorce. But since the mediator through Hello Divorce could not help us, the 4 sessions we paid for were a complete waste of our money.

I had a consultation with an hourly attorney for myself personally through Hello Divorce that I didn’t think was very helpful. I also consulted with a lawyer from an actual law firm, and found that conversation to be very helpful. Yes, it cost significantly more, but in the end it was much more helpful.

Overall a good experience so far, have just struggled with expectations of how the program can help fill in the gaps for us. Have felt a little disconnected, especially during such a difficult time. I'm sure as we get going, things will become more clear.

So I scheduled free 15 minute consultation and was given the time and the day when I was going to be, but a few minutes before my scheduled time I received an email telling me my appointment was canceled and I have not heard anything about when my appointment would be scheduled again, or if it would be scheduled again let alone the reason why it was canceled in the first place.
