Response times are very slow with some aspects or persons. More communication upfront about process and options would be helpful.

I've met with Chris Freemont a few times now and am SO GRATEFUL to find a professional with such deep expertise who can make the financial side of this process easy to understand. He really took the time to understand what we were trying to get done, had clear and informed recommendations, and helped explain any terms I didn't understand. Would strongly recommend this service to anyone who is navigating a divorce and trying to figure out complex real estate issues.

It turned out she was in my state and was absolutely wonderful to speak with. It means a lot, just having a ear to hear me out for a few minutes during these times, this to me was invaluable. She was incredibly understanding, incredibly easy to speak to, and I can't say enough good things about her, so thank you very much for your advice and understanding!!

I had an overall positive experience with Hello Divorce, and I would tell anyone to give it serious consideration among the options. (I can't compare the service to others, as its my first divorce.) Hannah and Charlene were kind and patient guiding me through an inevitably stressful process. Hannah, in particular, navigated a lot of back and forth as I figured out how to handle the financial disclosures. For the most part, their communication was clear and expedient. I found the daily chat "open hours" indispensable when I wanted a quicker response or found emailing cumbersome.

I encountered a few sticking points, however, that suggested some ways HD could improve.

First, I was deep into the process when I learned that I was meant to check the box dissolving my original domestic partnership along with the marriage dissolution on the initial petition. Therefore, I had to start the process over, including serving my spouse and all the other steps, delaying my divorce by 70 days. Charlene swung into action to get things moving as quickly as possible; still, the online questionnaire could easily have picked up this uncommon but not wildly bizarre situation.

Second, HD could provide more resources on how to handle common matters like dividing communal property. The HD team said they couldn't advise me on how to do it because they weren't lawyers, so I had to purchase lawyer time. But what the lawyer did on the form was so straightforward---just a list of what will be mine and what will be his---that I felt like a short article could have taught me (and saved me $450). That said, it's very fortunate I spoke with the lawyer because she caught the all-important detail about the domestic partnership; otherwise, I'd be divorced but still domestic partners with my ex.

In sum, the personal service was quite good---I appreciated everyone's positive and helpful attitudes---and some tweaks to the web forms and online information could make for a smoother experience overall.

From start to finish, I have nothing but good things to say about the service at Hello Divorce. I went from feeling completely overwhelmed, to feeling supported and confident that I would make it through my divorce process. They are truly there every step of the way and make things as easy and straightforward as possible. I will be forever grateful to Heather and Charlene for all of their support and guidance!

Could not recommend Hello Divorce more!! They were patient, thorough, helpful and timely, and really made what could be an expensive and lengthy process as easy as possible!

They need to be able to be a little more helpful with some of the situations that come up as per uncooperative spouses

The experience was great and it was nice having a dedicated point of contact to help keep things moving through the process (shoutout to Hannah St.Clair!). The only bumpy part of the process which could use some work is when an account moves to a true default. The attorney who had been working on my documents was under the impression that Hello Divorce would be initiating contact and sending docs, and Hello Divorce seemed as if the attorney was going to be reaching out to them. The process of sending approved drafts back for finalization and return to me for signature took months longer than it should have due to the attorney not being responsive, which resulted in my divorce being finalized several months later than it should have been. Other than that, it was a smooth experience and the HD team did a great job escalating and getting this over the finish line.

I am so thankful I made the choice to go with Hello Divorce. TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY. I was considering navigating this all on my own, but even a divorce that's somewhat amicable and not super complicated is, well, super complicated. Hello Divorce put me at ease and honestly just completely eliminated the stress that comes from worrying if I filled the papers out correctly, worrying about how to serve him or get things signed, worrying about how to file the papers with the court correctly, etc. From start to finish, they were helpful and very easy to work with. They kept me up to date with my case and I really appreciated it. Just so grateful to have had them helping take care of logistics during such an emotionally excruciating time in my life.
