Tunahan the technician was great. However the customer service through the office was poor. The parts did not arrive on time, which is fine. However no one at the office left me a message telling me the 2nd appointment needed to be rescheduled because parts had not arrived. I sat at home for 3 hours waiting. When I called them they said they called me but did not leave a message. When the parts arrived I called them to schedule a time and I had to talk to two different departments to get this done. Again, to be clear my technician was on point and arrived in a timely fashion once I could get the appointment scheduled. This review is based on the actions of the office and not the technician.

I am very disappointed with Super (hellosuper.com) and would not recommend their service.

I have been paying for a Super home warranty plan for the past four years. When my dishwasher broke down and I finally needed to use the service, nothing was repaired and nothing was covered. It makes me wonder why I have been paying a monthly subscription fee all these years if issues like this are excluded. In fact, I could have purchased a brand-new dishwasher with the money I have spent on the subscription.

The contractor who came to inspect my dishwasher was rude and unprofessional. After the inspection, I was simply told that nothing would be covered and that I would be responsible for handling and paying for everything myself.

This was a very frustrating experience and not what I expected after being a loyal customer for four years.

My washer started leaking on Memorial Day, so I immediately googled repair services for whirlpool washers and puls came right up and had an available appointment to service me the same day! Pavel arrived early and was very friendly and transparent he ordered the part needed and came back early Again the very next day and fixed the problem in less than an hour! No hidden fees and my diagnosis charge went towards my service total. I was so happy with the service I became a member, in the event that I experience any future home warranty issues. Thank you Puls and thank you Pavel for making what started as a scary experience a peaceful one.🤗

Appliance repair is never expected but my dryer broke on a holiday and I thought I would have to wait several days before I could get it repaired. I was pleased to get Reginald on the same day. He was earlier than expected. He was thorough. Explained what was wrong and handled everything at an affordable rate. Excellent service. I will call again.

Quickly sent someone to diagnose and sole my air conditioning problem!

This is the worst company I have ever encountered—absolutely terrible service and completely unprofessional. I have been waiting for my air conditioner to be repaired for over two weeks, and they still haven't resolved the problem; all they care about is collecting their money. I do not recommend them at all.

I am filing a complaint against Super Home Warranty regarding the handling of a furnace and HVAC installation claim and what I believe was a dismissive and misleading response to legitimate concerns involving permitting, code compliance, and system sizing issues.

Super arranged for the installation of a new HVAC/furnace system at my home in Fairfax County, Virginia. After the installation, I began experiencing serious humidity problems throughout the house that did not exist prior to the replacement.

On July 24, 2025, I notified Super in writing that:

Indoor humidity levels were remaining in the mid-60% range and often climbing into the 70% range.
At times, indoor humidity levels were nearly the same as outdoor humidity.
The house would cool, but would not properly dehumidify.
This issue did not exist prior to the new installation.

I also informed Super that I contacted the installing company directly and was told:

The new unit installed was larger than the previous unit.
No Manual J load calculation had been performed to determine whether the larger system was appropriate for the home.
The contractor stated they “only installed what Super provided.”

An improperly oversized HVAC system can short-cycle, cool too quickly, and fail to properly remove humidity from the air, creating ongoing comfort and potential moisture issues inside the home.

I further advised Super that I had already contacted customer service previously and was told someone would call me back, but no one ever followed up.

In addition to the humidity concerns, I later raised concerns regarding permitting and code compliance associated with the installation. Super repeatedly stated that:

Multiple providers inspected the unit and confirmed the installation met standards.
Neither Super nor the contractor was “required” to pull a permit.
If I wanted a permit pulled, I could do so myself at my own expense within one year of installation.

I independently contacted Fairfax County code enforcement and was informed that gas work in Fairfax County requires the contractor performing the work to pull the appropriate permit. Despite this, Super continued to insist that neither they nor their contractor were responsible for permitting.

My concerns are not about Super paying for “code upgrades.” My concerns are:

Whether unpermitted gas work was performed.
Whether the installation complied with local code requirements.
Whether the HVAC system was improperly sized.
Whether required engineering/load calculations were ignored.
Whether consumers are being misled regarding permitting responsibilities.
Whether Super is using third-party contractors who are failing to comply with local regulations and accepted HVAC installation practices.

Rather than addressing these concerns substantively, Super repeatedly sent nearly identical canned responses and ultimately informed me that:
“This claim is permanently closed. Super will be taking no further action.”

I believe this reflects poor customer service, a failure to properly investigate legitimate safety and performance concerns, and an unwillingness to take responsibility for work coordinated through their warranty network.

Super is always fast and efficient to work with. We have been customers for 7 plus years and have had zero issues with them. Definitely would recommend.
