Terrible Service

Our experience with Hiicom / HII Communications Ltd has been extremely disappointing.

We were sold a telecoms package that, in our view, was not explained clearly at the point of sale, particularly the length and cost of the contract. We later discovered we had been signed into a 7-year agreement at a price far higher than we believe comparable providers such as BT, EE or Virgin would have offered.

Since installation, the service has been consistently poor. The phone system and VoIP line have been unreliable, and the 4G service has been largely unusable. At times, we have had to divert calls from our landline to a mobile simply to receive customer calls, which has caused major disruption to our business.

What is most frustrating is that we are paying substantial maintenance fees, yet the level of support has been unacceptable. Faults are logged regularly, but responses are either delayed or non-existent, and we have received no meaningful resolution, no compensation, and no proper follow-up.

Based on our experience, customer service has been very poor throughout. We are now having to escalate the matter further.

I would strongly encourage any business considering Hiicom to read the contract carefully, question all terms in detail, and proceed with caution.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Conned into a lengthy contract with no incentives, paying over the odds for an average service. Contract was entered into by previous person in my role, she has confirmed what was and wasn't said during the signing. The sales person who conducted the sale has now been dismissed due to questionable motives but we have not been offered any help or compensation. Basically been conned by a sales person who lied but because the contract has been signed they have been very unhelpful. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Personally would avoid this company

Personally would avoid this company! They only care about sales and upgrading you. We have had issues on and off with them the whole time we have been in contract with them, from our contract being sold from one company to another, to technical support not able to provide help I have been looking into paying to leave as the service has been appalling.

Avoid this company!!!

We moved to Hiicom from BT after being told they were better value and would save us money. A big part of the agreement was that they would cover all of our BT cancellation charges.
They paid one invoice for £1,405 in December 2024, but the second invoice for £5,312 was sent to them in March 2025 and, now in April 2026, we are still waiting for payment.
I have chased this repeatedly for over a year. At first, I was given dates when the money would supposedly be paid, but those dates came and went. Since then, it has just been excuse after excuse. Our rep keeps saying he will “have a meeting about it” or that he will “definitely sort it,” yet nothing ever happens.
On top of that, the actual service has been poor. The phone lines regularly drop connection, and the WiFi strength has been so bad that I had to buy my own extender just to make it usable.
Very disappointing experience from start to finish. Broken promises, poor communication, and unreliable service. I would not recommend Hiicom to any business looking for a trustworthy telecom provider.

Con Artists.
Sold me their services, but then falsified a contract with Grenke the leasing company where I had to pay £11K over 7 years for two phones that you can buy for £150 off Amazon.
And never sent me any written communication about what they as HiiCom were actually supplying.

WORST COMMUNICATION FROM A COMMUNICATION COMPANY!

I would warn any company away from Hii Comm!

We signed what we believed was a 3-year agreement, but after the paperwork went through Hii Comm sent a 7-year contract to our finance company without our consent. After that point they began increasing prices repeatedly and withdrawing large sums from our account with no prior notification or clear explanation. For a small business those unexpected charges are devastating.

The hardware they supplied is cheap and not fit for purpose — phones that drop calls and perform poorly. The internet connection has been unstable and intermittent since installation, which has harmed our daily operations. Every time we raised these issues, customer service was effectively nonexistent: calls and emails go unanswered, promises to escalate are ignored, and we received no meaningful support or resolution.

I feel we were treated dishonestly and left with a contract and charges that don’t match what we agreed to. If you’re considering Hii Comm, read every document very carefully, double-check what’s been sent to any finance company, and be prepared to dispute charges. You may also want to seek legal or financial advice before signing or if you encounter similar problems.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Hii Comm and would advise other businesses to look elsewhere.

Conned into a long

Conned into a long, expensive contract.
Nothing to do with BT but told they were.
Unable to resolve technical issue during holiday period for a community pharmacy making them uncontactable to customers. Fault unable to be fixed for over a week.

Stay away!!

Stay away, they sell you a so called fixed contract then start putting your price up and then they also add a so called maintenance fee which is almost £1000 a year on top. This company is a con and has been on Rip of Britain! I won’t pay them a penny more my direct debit is cancelled I’m not paying for a service I wasn’t aware of and lied about

BBC Rip Off Britain is monitoring this company

BBC Rip Off Britain has MONITORING HIICOM COMMUNICATION for while customers have signed a contract and end up having to pay thousands of pounds for a service they did not want. Beware 5year contract ended up being 7, with hidden additional fees and you're signing up to finance company

Be careful

Be careful - check your contract, mine changed from 5 year to 7 year without me realising due to the rushed final signoff.

Also billing - very slow and addon subscriptions charged for random services without notification.
Router Assurance appeared at 9.99/m
Fraud Protection Service at 12.99/m
Neither asked for and no option to opt out of. Calling CS sends you round the houses and 'we'll call you back' (which involves a single ring then they put the phone down and leave it at that as they 'called you back').

Horrible experience after 'getting me' as a customer

I'm not a complainer, but this is a terrible, terrible company.

The sales process was excellent and I was fully on-board, but from the moment our VOIP system started with them it's been a horrible experience.

There were technical issues at the start and the tech team never followed through so required me to constantly chase, and even when they responded none of them seemed to actually care about sorting the issues. I can't describe how frustrating this was - when your business relies on the phone system and it's not functioning correctly, it's crucial to you as a business owner, and when you can't get the supplier to care about helping it's infuriating. Whenever I chased them they'd say the right things on the phone, but after nothing ever followed through you just realise it's all lies to placate you.

It immediately felt very much as if now they had me as a customer, they need not try as hard.

Once the system was running smoothly, I tried to get past these initial issues and 'start fresh'. My account manager (Jonathan Chettle) had been the saving grace during this period, so I wanted to move forward.

Sadly, Jonathan then started to go downhill too. As with the technical side, it was very much as if he now didn't care. I could tell he was sick of me complaining, but ultimately my complaints were all valid so this isn't fair.

There then came multiple queries/issues with the billing/invoicing. I won't go into them all in detail, but in summary there are 2 main annoyances.

1. After the first year of billing, prices started to go up a lot. I queried this and was immediately told this was all in their Terms & Conditions. It was at this point I realised I'd been got by the classic sales sucker punch - I found the salesman (Josh Nicholson) so decent and good that I clearly hadn't read the Ts&Cs well enough. I made the point to them that I felt deceived since Josh had multiple times referred to 'fixed costs' leading me to not expect line rentals etc to jump significantly year-on-year. Naturally this got me nowhere.

2. This I find totally unacceptable, but they constantly decide to just add-on new items to peoples packages without asking permission! e.g. in July 2025 I suddenly had an additional £9.99 on my monthly bill for 'Router Assistance'. I was told this was optional, but that without asking all customers had been opted in!! Again I'm sure they are allowed to do this under their Ts&Cs, but I find it totally unacceptable. Then in August 2025 I had the same - a new £12.99 monthly charge for Fraud Protection.

Jonathan is now totally blunt with his emails, and still only generally replies when I chase him.

I'm tied into a 7 year deal which I'm furious with myself for having done with such an absolute joke of a company.

Eventually it got me so riled that I though I'd post this review in a few places on the internet in the hope I can save someone else from making a horrible decision.
