I would thoroughly recommend Alfred and his team, all of whom were polite, hard working, excellent communicators who turned up on time and cleared our mum’s flat in record time to a very high standard. They even insisted on cleaning and hoovering, even though we assured them we had pre booked a professional cleaner for the following day. I recently made contact with Alf as I had been struggling to finish clearing my late dad's house. Alf informed me of his companies process were items are sent to be reused and upcycled with nothing going to landfill. Alf is lovely and friendly and he was very patient and understanding given the circumstances. The house was cleared in a day and Alf kept me updated throughout the day. Recently contacted House Clearance Scotland when we were struggling to make progress in clearing out my parents' house. Alfred was really helpful from the beginning, letting us know what the process is and how everything is recycled or repurposed, rather than just thrown out. We received a quote after having had a look around and set a date.

The guys - Damian, Dan and Bert - put in an absolute shift and cleared out the whole house, loft, garage and garden in 3 days. It would have taken us months, if not longer to do the same job! We were kept updated daily with progress photos/videos and the guys set aside anything that they thought we might want to keep.

Would highly recommend HCS to anyone looking for some help in clearing out a property. They're efficient, tactile and left the place very tidy.

Losing my sister in law was hard, we needed her home cleared. I found this company and read all the reviews, wow, I was satisfied this was the right company for us. Alfred is so sympathetic to our bereavement and explained everything to me. He worked with us before the clearance, and communicated at every stage. At the end of her life , my sister in law had dementia and refused assistance , she was not managing. Her hoarding was not her, she was a very house proud hard working lady. Needless to say there was a lot of clearing and Alfred assured us this would be done to selling condition. And it is. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. And we want to thank Alfred and his hard working staff for making our grief easier to handle. Flat is in Monifieth.

This Company I would have anybody in a heartbeat to choose that requires a late family member property that requires emptying and cleaning for probate purposes. They were very professional and efficient in what they do. The man Alfred will come out and have a meeting with you first and understands that this is an emotional and stressful process for the family of the deceased to carry out. They take the stress out of doing it yourself especially when I live in England and my late mother property was in Scotland, which can be hard as you do not live and work in the same area as my late mother. I would highly recommend them.

Having used Alfred and his team previously for our aunt's house clearance, we had no hesitation in returning to them, this time for our mum's house clearance.

We called for a complete house clearance after the death of my Dad. 5* doesn't do justice or comes even close to Alfred and his team for their professionalism, compassion and standards of work and cleanliness.
The updates provided by photos and videos via Whatsapp from Alfred were daily (job was over 3 days), informative and much appreciated as I could see by those the respect they showed to the family home and Dad's personal belongings.
An extra thanks also to Damian, Dan and Hamish for a job well done and leaving the house in a very high, professional standard ready to be photographed by the estate agents.

I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, we have used them twice now - I didn't hesitate to go back after the stellar service the first time round. Fast, efficient, considerate, helpful, great communication, and the place left spotless each time. It really took the weight off our shoulders. I honestly cannot praise this company enough & wish i could award more stars. They went above & beyond not only clearing but also thoroughly cleaning 4 bedroom detached villa with garage & shed when the job was completed. I cannot begin to describe how cluttered & messy this house was with 46+ years of clutter & mess. Damian, Dan & Hamish are the guys who did this job so amazingly & the boss Alfie visited the property regularly & kept in touch regularly via text with updates & progress photos which was a great help, he is friendly whilst remaining professional & we had no worries at all in entrusting this company with the property. This was not an easy job, certainly not one we as a family could have or would have tackled as there is only myself & my husband, but this company did brilliantly & made a very stressful time for us much easier. We are more than happy that most if not all of the items are donated to charity too. Very professional & we cannot put into words how pleased & happy we are with all they have done & the cost is well worth ir, great value for money to have such a terrific job done & completed in a short time during difficult circumstances. Very efficient, friendly service from office staff and removals team (Dan and Daniel). Did exactly what was needed, great communications and would recommend.

Would recommend without hesitation. Our job included a house clearance and a partial removal - the team started very early, used the keysafe to get in, kept us informed of progress via photos and videos and were extremely helpful and professional. Alfred also visited the premises that we were moving a sofa to, to check access etc in advance. On the day everything went like clockwork.
